Well if this is the first time you are buying a bra, you should be a smaller size like A or something. But if those are too small:

Run a tape measure all the way around your body just underneath your breasts and take a measurement in inches. If the number is even, add 4 and if it is odd, add 5. This will give you your band size. For instance, if you measured 28 inches, your band size will be 32.

To find your cup size, measure around the fullest part of the bust in inches, not too tightly or the measurement will be inaccurate. Then subtract your band size from this measurement. This will help you to determine your cup size. If the bust size is less than the band size, you are an AA cup. If there is no difference between the two measurements, your cup size is A. A 1 inch difference indicates a B cup, 2 inches is a C cup, 3 is a D cup and so on. You can use this chart to find out your cup size.

i am a 32 A right now and i still fit it, but its a bit small. the middle section does not touch my body like it used to. its digging into my skin. so i just re measured with my friend and my first measurment around rib cage was 28, wich makes my band size be a 32, now to the biggest part of the bust, it was a 30. you subtract 28 from 30 and get 2. 2 gives you a b cup. am i right? (shorter- band size before adding 4 because it was even was 28. bust size is 30. can u help me?)

1. With your bra on run a tape measure around your body underneath your breasts. This is your “band” measurement. Make sure the tape measure is horizontal and somewhat snug.

2. Round to the nearest even number measured. For example, if your band size measured 35 inches, your band size should be 36. If you measured 31.4, you band size should be 32.

3. Next measure your bust size. For this you want to measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust. If you pull to tight it will give you an inaccurate measurement. This number should be rounded to the nearest whole number.

4. Now you’re ready to calculate your cup size. For this you need to subtract the band size from your bust measurement: 0 to 1.5 inches = A, 1.5 to 2.5 = B, 2.5 to 3.5 = C, 3.5 to 4.5 = D, 4.5 to 5.5 = DD/E.

Tips & Warnings:

If your cup is wrinkled go down one cup size. If you have bulging try a cup size larger or a design that covers more. If your straps fall down and adjusting them does not fix the problem, try going down a size. If the band rides up in the back try a tighter hook or loosen the straps. If you have strap marks try loosening the straps.

Just tell your mom - there's no special code language. She's your mom and she'll understand.

Take a tape measure and measure your boobs and then measure under your boobs, the 1st rib subtract the too measurements. for example my boob size is 32 and 29 = 3 . And then count it in the Alphabet A b c. so im a 32c if anything contact me with the measurements if you are confused and i will tell you whats your cup size. Hope this helped <33

Go to a store. Grab lots of bras of different sizes and styles, including variations on your previous cup size and your previous band size. Go into the fitting room and try them all on. Pick the one that fits the best and try on a few more of that size or one near it. That's pretty much the best way to find out your bra size. Don't be surprised if you end up with a larger cup size and a smaller band size than you expected.

Push up bras for FF cup size?

I'm 19 and I'm a 38FF as of last year. I'm pretty sure I've grown as my bras have all either ripped in the middle or the back. my bra doesn't even touch my chest underneath my breasts anymore. they're very heavy and uncomfortable so I need support as well but I don't want an ugly bra. why will a a sprinkler do which will make it better than water hose. hose appears to be a fairly steady stream which you can control. the yellow brown is the grass, not the base soil.

Oh boy Green, I am shocked? Why did you cover your new lawn? You have more than likely burned your seeds up. I KNOW you have burned your new grass sprouts. That is why they are brown and yellow. I hope you put down your seeds with a spreader? Otherwise your new lawn will be very uneven. Next time cover your seeds with a very thin layer of soil topper or steer manure. I use steer manure. In fact I just put down fifteen (15) bags the day before the rain. For your size you will need about three (3) bags @ 2cu.ft.

Do not worry about salts in water. Water your grass with hand nozzle on fine spray. Water just enough to keep the manure and seeds moist AT ALL TIMES. Never cause any rivers. Water your new lawn as much as five (5) times a day for the first week if necessary or until seeds sprout. At that time, you can cut back and water deeper.

I have been putting in winter rye myself for over forty (40) years, and so have many of the gardeners in my neighborhood. I have nine rare fruit trees, a 20x20 ft. vegetable garden, and a beautiful front and backyard with dozens of flowers.

Each year we can and dry fruits and vegetables from our trees and garden. im going to 8th grade in a few days and i just started wearing training bras. when i went shopping i told my mom i needed bras and she got me training bras. im a size 36a. she wont let me wear cupped bras because she says they are for older women and they have underwires and show cleavage. should i be able to wear cupped bras?

Tell your mom you need one and that girls your cup size wear them.
Tell her that you will be changing for PE and you rather not be made fun of because you wear a training bra like a small child.

Wacoal and Felina make fabulous bras for average and above average chest sizes. You can get these brands at Nordstrom, Macy's, and other nicer department stores. Felina makes sexier, prettier bras with matching undies. Wacoal makes bras that are uber comfortable and perfectly fitting, but are not as cutesy.

I have found that Fredericks and VS bras are poorly made, strangely proportioned, and are inconsistent in sizes. Also, they tend to be uncomfortable.

Being a 34dd, I am extremely choosy with bras. They have to have perfect lift, separation, and no busting or falling out over the top. I go with Felina as my #1, then Wacoal, and lastly Olga.

bra fittings are free. personally I would go elsewhere to get fitted. I have been sized there a number of times and always for the wrong size.

they measured me while standing inthe middle of the bra section, not in a dressing room, over my clothing and bra. they then sent me to a dressing room with this box of different bras in the size they measured me to try on. Basically to find out what style I liked best. That's it.

i don't believe they are the most accurate place to be sized. I was told that I was a 38D back when they still had the Body By Victoria Ipex bras about 4 - 5 years ago. I bought three very expensive ($50+) bras. And within 3 - 5 months, the wires poked out. This is generally a sign that the bra is either has too big of a band size and/or too small of a cup size. i went down a band and up a cup size to a 36DD per a fitting nordstrom's. I have never had the issue again.

I like the Nike bras which are meant to be worn as outerwear. They're pretty cute and have lots of coverage- they usually run $25-40/each.
34C isn't extremely busty, but women I know with D cups or larger often wear two sport bras to decrease the bouncing. You might also try visiting your local running store and asking a female sales associate to help you choose an appropriate bra for your build.
Plus, breasts are much more likely to sag from being overweight or pregnancy than they are from jogging a few times a week. Yes, get a good bra, but it won't make a huge difference.

Ok well i measured myself yesterday and was a 32A then today i tried on my sisters old strapless bra and it fit perfect but was a 34A what does this mean?

If the bra was made of cotton it probably shrunk some after being washed in hot water.

The 32 is the "circumferenece" (length around) and the A is the cup size (boob size).

Just to add to the confusion for you: bra sizes are based on ratios and not direct measurement. That is, the cup is a ratio of the difference between underbust + 4" or 5" and full bust measurement.

In this way, a "D" is the same as a "C" and a "B" when considering different bands. It's not that D is big and A is small, it all depends upon what body that cup is on.

The cup on a 38A is the same as the one on a 36B which is the same as a 34C which is the same as a 32D which is the same as a 30DD which is the same as a 40AA.

In this way - in all of those examples, the breasts are the same size - the underbust size differs.

Each cup size represents a 1" differential in band-chest measurement.

Let x = cup size:

x = full bust in inches - (underbust + 4" rounded up even)

we can use U for underbust and F for full bust and get:

x = F - (U+4" rounded even)

This means that as U increases, x decreases and as U decreases, x increases.

What is generally perceived as "average" is:
30AA, 32A, 34B, 36C, 38D, 40DD, etc.. These tend to give a perception of "well proportioned" but keep in mind that there is a huge range of what is "normal".

We can say then that anything smaller than these (34A or 36B) might be called "small" while anything larger (36D) might be called "large" -- the more extreme the deviation, the more noticeable will be the perception. 32D would be perceived as "large" whereas the same cup size on a 38 frame would be a 38A which we'd call "small". It's all about the ratio of difference between frame and full bust.

As for the largest size. Women who wear a size of about 52FF tend to need to have their bras made. Playtex makes a stock 56DDD and Goddess makes a stock 56J. A 56J would fit a woman who measures somewhere around 66" (more than 5.5') around the fullest bust.

I would recommend buying online from the UK. They offer a lot more size variety and they have cute, non-grandma bras. Note that if you wear a 30F in US sizing, you should try a 30E in UK sizing. If you do plan on buying online, I suggest seeing if Nordstrom carries the bra and either try it on if they have your size in-store and/or read the reviews of the quality and fit of the bra. Also, look at a website called bratabase.com because it has measurements of different sizes and styles of bras, but the measurements are added by members of the site, so you may or may not find the bra you were looking for.

I am a 38H and need to find supportive nursing bras. Most that I have seen in my size don't have any upper support... you lower the cup and your whole boob just flops out. Lol. Any good, supportive, and not super expensive suggestions?

I'm a 40FF and the best maternity bra I have is by Bravado (I also have a Hot Milk one which is OK too, not as supportive, but a lot prettier). They were expensive to buy (I made sure I was fitted at a shop that specialised in nursing bras), but now I know what size I am, I am constantly searching ebay and other online sites to get the same at half the price. I also find that the nursing singlets/vests only have a smaller openeing for part of the breast to poke through when you lower the cup, so it doesn't all flop out, "top secret maternity" are the best I have found.

I have only tried a few brands (for all my nursing wear) because I stopped as soon as I found a good brand and stuck with it.

Honestly, I've been looking for plus sized maternity bras and have been told by 6 maternity stores that I'd have to buy custom made ones for about $150-$200 each. If your friend is any bigger than DD before pregnancy then she may have to go this route as well. I'm just going to use my normal bras. Women did it for years before maternity bras were invented so I figure I can figure it out. lol

Advice on becoming a plus-sized lingerie model.?

I am considering the plus-size modeling field but I do not know if I have the shape to become a lingerie model(34 inch waist 50 inch hips). Please no rude comments- any advise is appreciated.

A plus model is a model who is slightly larger than straight size fashion models, and she is used to sell clothing to plus size women.

General parameters for a plus model are height between 5'8" and 5'11", sizes 10 - 18. She must be a fit, toned, proportional hourglass, and have great skin and teeth, just like straight size models. A beautiful smile is a must. If a lady is 5'5" and 200 pounds she may be a plus size woman, but she is NOT a plus model

Unfortunately 50" hips puts you outside the parameters for plus size modelling. You would need to lose 5" from your hip measurement.

If you`re wanting to try modelling for the experience rather than for financial reasons you might want to try BBW work. It`s not an officially recognised modelling category - but many ladies do it.

The only type of fashion shows for Plus Size models might be if Lane Bryant has a fashion show in a local mall, or some other plus size label has a trunk show at Salon Z at Saks. But there is nothing like New York or Paris Fashion Week when it comes to plus size. The vast majority of plus size work is in catalogs catering to plus size or large busted women or print work.

Do I need a bigger bra?

I wear a plain white (not pushup) underwire 34A bra. My breasts fill the bra, but when wearing that bra I realize there is some skin bulging out. I adjust the straps higher, but unfortunately my breasts sag, so whenever the bra goes higher it goes above part of my breast. Should I get a bigger bra? I don't know how to say to my mom that I need one if I do, my family is tight on money.

It sounds like you do need a bigger bra. The best way to know for sure though is to get measured. They do it for free at Victoria's Secret and a few other places. When you're wearing the right size bra, you will be MUCH more comfortable. I used to think that I was a 38B, but I found out I'm a 32E!

Victoria's Secret Bra's are pretty pricey however. Walmart has cheap ones, as does Target and occasionally Kohl's. Watch for sales, because the bras can be pretty expensive otherwise.

Just tell you're mom that you grew and need a new bra. If you're too scared to, then you can go out and buy one yourself. I wouldn't recommend that though. It's what I did, and even though I'm years past puberty, I still can't talk to my mom about 'girl stuff'. Your relationship with your mother will be better because of it if you can get pas this slighly awkward hurdle. Trust me. :)

Ok so, i have recently been using a bigger sized bra, from 32 A to 32 B. They are my sisters old bras that she only wore a few times before she realised she was too small for them. Anyway i fit into the cup but at the bottom of the cup, where the underwire bit is there is a fairly large gap.
It is almost as if my boobs aren't saggy enough...

Why is this?
Because my A bra's were too small as it was kinda bulging a bit over the top.

That bra is a little too big for you, the ideal bra sits against the chest bone between your boobs. If you pop out the side of the bra, you're too big for it!

Why have it made backless if you're worried about the bra? have her add a strap across the back to hide a bra strap. They do make bras for backless dresses. If all else fails use some tape across your nipples so they won't show.

But guys make noises too when they really get into it and forget about what's around them. My boyfriend makes grunting noises (lol) and sometimes he makes a sound kind of like when something scares you, a loud inhale i guess you could say. But he only does that when I hit a sweet spot.

it looks like the majority of you selected the US vs. Russia in Lake Placid. I unfortunatly was born after that so i never got the chance to see it.

to be honest with you i have an answer for the nation as a whole and then a personal favorite. My national moment was at the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid when the US men's hockey team beat the Russians and went on to win gold. The Soviets were so dominant at that time on the international level that they were literally the dead pan odds on favorite to win it all that year. With the cold war at chaotic levels and the constant fear that the American people lived in of a nuclear war with Russia just added to the meaning that this win provided. Basis for the movie "Miracle" which if you haven't seen yet you need to.
Personal fav. was watching from the stands as my beloved Tennessee Volunteers won a National Championship in 1998! I have never been happier in my life as I was at that moment knowing that for an entire year my boys and I were the top of the collegiate football heap!

ok, i have a school dance and the shirt I am wearing is spagetti straps. I have a strapless bra I can wear with it but I'm afraid if Im dancing to really fast paced song, itll be difficult to keep it up and its really embarrassing to constantly have to tug and fix your bra all the time. But if i wear a regular bra, its not impossible, but its pretty hard to keep the bra straps hidden under the straps of the shirt. Any suggestions? I really dont want to have to buy a different bra completely but if I do i guess i could get one of those with clear straps. but if anyone has a suggestion of what I could do please let m know :)

lol if you want you can go to a store that cells bra's. then take a couple bra's to "try on" be sure to take one with clear straps andd in the changing room take the clear straps off. and put them in your pocket. keep that bra in there and take the rest out and put them back. (usually strapless bra's will have clear straps also which you can take on and take off) if you dont want to do that then simply but a cheep one. i dont usually shop at target but they have pretty cheap and kinda cute bra's. they are only about 5 dollars. if you cant do that just wear your strapless one. it'll probably be finee:) good luck

Q. Hey everyone! :) Do sports bras ever get to small? R they kinda like training bras where u grow out of them? I wear a sports bra and i was just wondering if i will ever have to start wearing a bra with cups? SO could u tell me if i willl have to start wearing a bra with cups and if sports bras ever get to small? Thanks soo much. Also I kinda want to wear a cupped bra on special occasions but i dont want my boobs to look like they have grown over night because i wear a sports bra every day. sports bras are meant to prevent excessive bouncing during heavy activity. However as you probily noticed sports bras are not sized like cup bras. Sports bras are just sized based on your width, while cup bras are sized based on width and size of boobs. It seems like you are wearing a sports bra to do a training bras purpose. So to answer your question as long as your width doesnt increase your boobs cannot outgrow a sports bra. However if your boobs are big enough to fill an A cup, you should start wearing cup bras on a day-day basis. And since a sports bra kinda smothers your boobs to prevent bouncing, when you transfer to cup bras it really will look like your boobs grew overnight, And people including yourself will just have to deal with the fact that you actually have boobs

Push up Bras - Have extra padding on the bottom of the cup to give you that certain look. Very Sexy Bras (A sub-brand of Victoria's Secret) has the most popular push up, but if your young this is probably not the look you are going for. Angel's Push up bras will give you a fuller look. I personally like the Very Sexy bras for special occasions and the Angel's push ups for everyday (they are wayy more comfortable).

Demi Bras - The bra cup is 3/4 the size of a normal bra cup, its worn for when you are wearing lower cut shirts and you don't want the bra cup to show, it is never a push up because you'll fall out of the bra cups... The Demi Cups can give you a rounder shape, but it doesn't have a lot of support.

Hi I too and larger on top and had a hard time finding bras. I found this wonderful lady on Ebay that sells these bras that are so compfortable and really well priced. She will even help you get the right size by sending her your measurements. They are all cotton and cross over or are like a sports bra She carries in the sizes up to I think it is a 52 DD+ and more. Give her a jingle hear is her ebay user ID (breastfeedingisbest). She has great feed back I think over 3800. Hope this helps a little. They also wash well and the all cotten other than the wide elastic around. Try her she will answer all your questions and get the perfect size. She helped my size for my pregancy and then for the nursing stage after. I still wear them and my little one is 14 1/2 months old. I have nursed 5 babies and have never found a more comfy bra.

You can get the strap extenders to make more use out of your current bras. You could consider getting nursing bras at this point if you plan to breastfeed. You should get fitted at a maternity store, but the lady told me to get a bra that fits on the tightest hook now, and a cup size that gives you a little room to grow, but isn't too loose. You usually go up a cup size when your milk comes in. A 38C nursing bra should do.

I used to work in a lingerie store, and you could be surprised at the number of women who actually wear the wrong sized bra. It's possible that you require a larger size than you think-- for example, if your current bra leaves red marks on you, your boobs occasionally fall out, or the cups are not flat against your rib cage, but rather leave a space, then you may need another size.

If you are a 34 under your breasts and 5 inches bigger in the breasts, than you are indeed a 34 DD.

You want a size that fits you. Also, it is possible that their sizes are slightly off. Either way, you want your breasts to fit the bra you buy-- so trust their measurements if you are buying from them.

I would go into a maternity boutique and allow them to measure you-- they will do this for free. You want to have an accurate size and a comfortable bra. Buying in person is best so you can try it on and ensure that you are comfortable.

Ignore bra size calculators! They DON'T work! They use the usual 'add 4/5in to your under bust' and it means you get a band too big and a cup too small.
I'm really sorry, but I don't fully understand AUS bra sizing! I'll try my best.
30 is (I think) a 10 in AUS. Clearly, from the measurements you've entered, a 14 is way too big for you!
The best thing to do is to measure your under bust, and if it's an even number that's your band size. If it's an odd number add one. So, if you measure 28 under then you need a 28 band size... in the UK. For AUS, 28 is a 6, 30 is an 8, 32 is a 12, 34 a 14 etc. So, measure your under bust in inches and convert it.
Next, measure the breasts. Work out the difference between your under bust and bust. For example, if it's 28 and 34, you'd need a 28E. In AUS, that's 6E.
Check the band fits. If you can pull the band further than 5cm away from your body, it's too big and you need to go down a size. If you need to go down, for example, from a 12 to a 10, remember that you need to go up a cup size. A 10E is the same cup volume as 12DD.
Now the cups. Check for spillage, the underwire digging in etc - all signs it's too small. Look for wrinkling and gaping, too, signifying it's too big.
Remember, using measurements is very basic - it doesn't determine your size and should only be used as a starting point. Try some on, and good luck :)

I have one Aerie bra, and many Victoria Secret bras.
I've never been disappointed with VS, and they have the 7 - way one which helps me extraordinarily when i wear strapless shirts, or shirts with cutouts.
They can be pricey, but if you catch them when they have sales, you can catch a deal.
Plus, I've found that VS bras last longer than Aerie.

Yes, to a degree. Some of the crazy crossovers in streetball are used by professional NBA ballers. However, a lot of streetball techniques would be called for traveling or carrying in the NBA. You can't dance around your feet while doing crazy acrobatics with the ball, because that is almost surely a travel or carry. Other moves are just unclassy and will most likely not work, like bouncing the ball around the defender or through his legs. Usually, the defender or his teammates will intercept the move, and if the performer messes up, it looks awful. Some of the lower-risk moves, like the alley-oop or double crossover, are used in the NBA for show. The biggest reason, however, is that they just don't work at the NBA level, or they would be used more often. In a high school game, I'm sure it could be pulled off, but it would look terrible for you and your school if you mess up. And even if you do it, it would make you look trashy and cocky.

Forever21 has a plus-size section, although it is fairly limited and F21 clothes are cheap in general. Aside from there, you could try department stores like Macy's, JCP, Sear's, etc; or, stores like Target.

Personally, I loove ASOS, and they also have a huge plus-size selection! They're UK-based, so keep in mind size conversions, but shipping is free in the states. Seriously, their clothes are super cute :).

Your best bet would be to look up stylish plus-size blogs! Plus-size fashion bloggers would probably have great recommendations for wear to buy cute clothes.

Plus size models that are booked through the top agencies are between sizes 8 and 16/18 (with some bigger girls doing fit work).
You're a little short for modeling, though - the bare minimum is typically 5'8", and you really need to be even taller to be truly competitive.

When models are in that limbo between sizes their agents sometimes list them on both their straight size and plus size boards to see where they fit in best. I know of a handful of models who are a size 8 or 10 who are marketed as both and get booked for both straight size and plus size jobs, although the work they get is usually more catalog and commercial work than pure fashion work.

You are in the middle, and you need to get in front of an agent who, if he/she has interest in you, can tell you which market to target. No one here on Yahoo can tell you if you are going to make it - that's up to an agent or booker.

You mention "regular" modeling - do you know what that means? I think you are talking about commercial modeling, where people don't have to be ultra-thin or especially big or amazingly beautiful. There are commercial agencies that book people to do tv ads, commercials, advertisements, etc. Think of the Lysol lady or the "where's the beef" lady - they are not gorgeous models but they are "real people" models and can make a few bucks. That might be where you're headed - you don't strike me as fashion model material.
