How do i ask my mom to get me larger bras?
I need some larger bras, but dont wanna have the whole talk. Any conversation starters?
Answer
Listen if your big enough to need bigger bras then buy your own bras. then you dont need the whole talk. just one day ask her if you can shop on your own. Im sure she will take the hint that you wanna buy your own stuff. make sure to ask for money though haha. Or just casually be like "mom my bras dont fit me anymore" and then just walk out.

Question regarding nursing bras?
Alexis
im due to have a baby in about a month and half im trying to find nursing bras but im not sure what size i may need...i have had some people tell me that once the milk comes in you will need a bra a cup size bigger than you are now...im currently a 38dd so what is the next size up for cup size and where might i find this size...im guessing it would be 38e but do they even make them?
Answer
Actually nursing bras are available up to a J cup, It is advised that you go to a lingerie store (not VS or a deptartment store) and have a fitting to make sure you are in the right size, at this point for a nursing bra you are advised to fit so you can easily fit your hand into the cup while wearing the bra, but you should only buy maybe 2 or 3 at this time and get more once you have been nursing for a while and your milk flow has settled. Here is a website that stocks nursing bras up to a UK J cup (which is like a US ~Lcup) so give them a look over and the postage is actually quite reasonable plus if you call up they can advise you with more personal information.

Buying a nursing bra?

i am 8 months pregnant how much bigger will my boobs get when the milk comes in?
i would like a actual bra and not a sports bra. i need the extra support.
Answer
I got my nursing bra's at JC Penny's. I bought one cup size bigger than my normal size and it fit perfectly. Sometimes people don't get too much bigger at all when they milk comes in and other times they can go up 2 or 3 sizes bigger. I would just buy maybe one bra and then after your milk comes in go and buy a couple more. I know with me, my milk didn't come in until 3 days after I gave birth so I could still wear my normal bra. So if you think you might feel like it then just go shopping after you have your baby and buy your bras then. When I was in the hospital I just didn't even wear a bra. While trying to breast feed you don't want to have to full with the bra being in the way. My nursing bra I had to tuck the flap down under the bottom of the bra just to keep it out of the way. Also you don't want to buy too many nursing bra's because there is always the chance you can't nurse for some reason and then you spent money on bra's you could have had for something else. That happened to me. Good luck and congrats.

Best Dunk Ever??
khmagician
please provide an in game dunk (olympics, NBA, etc.)
and please provide a dunk contest one...
Answer
They don't have it on YouTube, but Dr. J (Julius Erving) when he was in the ABA finals with the New Jersey Nets jumped just inside the free throw line, faked left, the defender cut off his pass to the right so he continued his spin and dunked the ball. VERY impressive.
In a dunk contest, again not on YouTube. Gerry Wright (who played at USC and later at Iowa) did the most unique dunk I've ever seen. He started at the half court line running in while palming the ball - he didn't dribble in. He then did a handspring (or a round-off or a cartwheel - I'm not sure which) off his free hand and when he came out of the handspring he jumped up and dunked. I've NEVER seen anyone else even attempt such a dunk.

What is the best dunk ever in your opinion?
The Answer
I think the best one was when Jordan dunked over Ewing; John Starks was guarding Jordan & Oakley ran out to double team Jordan, Jordan burned both of them and dunked over Ewing.
Answer
I think best dunk ever was the 2000 Olympics where Vince Carter jumped over a 7'3" guy's head. That's just absolutely insane!
I think the best NBA dunk ever was Jordan spinning past Starks and Oakley and dunked over Ewing. Not just the amazing dunk, but how he got past Starks and Oakley... WOW!
Holy crap!! - Taurian Fortenette did a 720! You've gotta see this!

Need suggestions for a clear back dance bra for a VERY busty fairly petite woman =)?

monkie254
Hello! I have been having a really REALLY hard time finding a bra to wear under my leos for class. I am a 32 or 34 DDD and am only 5'2 and about 130lbs so i am VERY blessed! I have been wearing sports bras under my leos or the half leos under my regular leos for extra support which they give, but they look so bad under some of my prettier open back leos. Any suggestions for dance bras with a clear back that are good for a bustier girl?? Thank you =)
Answer
revolution came out with a multi way bra for dancers. It is nude in the front and very supportive. It has a clear strap in the back, and it is convertible to a cross back, racer back, spagetti, halter, strapless, multi strapless, and it is only $22. My friend is a 44 DD and she is a large, so you would probably be a medium, maybe large.

Do men really like curvy women?
Breanna La
Im 5 ft 5, and weigh about 135 lbs.. my jean size is between a 7 and 9, and my bra is a 36D... A lot of my friends are jealous and say they wish they looked like me cause i have hips and a butt for a white girl, but im jealous of them because theyre really skinny and tall, whereas im 'curvier' and 'short'. i dont know my waist size; ive never measured it... but what im pretty much asking is do guys really prefer curvier girls, and why?
Answer
You should definitely NOT be jealous. I'm a guy and i would much prefer a woman with curves. Its more attractive to most guys. Height shouldn't really matter unless your gargantuan or extremely small. Anyways guys prefer curvier girls because they're just more attractive. Most guys like bigger butts and breasts then a skinny body. Hope this was what you were looking for.

Guys, do you like skinny or curvy girls?
Jessica
So do you like skinny or curvy girls? But not curvy in a fat way like a big butt, decent size boobs, smaller waist. Or skinny?
Just asking, cause I'm curvy but I feel kinda awkward standing next to a skinny girl :/
Answer
My bf used to date asian women (he's asian) and I was soo jealous when I saw his ex because they are really gorgeous and I am a lil chubby.
Then one day I caught him checking very endowed girls online and even at the mall a woman that had J LO rear, and I asked him about it and said that now that's been with me, he realized what he missed and he's addicted to curves, even the tummy (yes!) and larger thighs (yes again lol).
He said he couldn't date those skinny beauties anymore.
So, yeah, I think once they had some curves or softness they love it, if you have decent boobs, a prominent butt, yeah, no guy will dismiss you.
I do sometimes feel awkward when I shop for bras with a couple of my friends at the mall and they are flat and tell me they are jealous of me, I say that they look more elegant than me, which is maybe true but really I am being nice because I know what my bf would prefer, I am proud of my body.

what does it mean when bra sizes are "equivalent"?

buy my lla
Right now I have ones that are 34D. I know that is supposed to be "equivalent" to a 28F.
However my chest is very narrow, and the band length of 34 is far too loose. Even on the tightest setting the back of the bra sits much higher than the band part that runs under my breasts. The back of the bra where the hooks are being so high up on my back also means the cups fit weirdly over my boobs.
I think a shorter band size would help this. But i cannot find a 28f anywhere in the USA and I can't buy one from the UK or whatever when they want pounds (my parents wouldn't let get those) plus they are expensive. I can't affort 60+ dollars for each bra, or 30 pounds or whatever if its from the UK.
What should I do? What does "equivalent" in bra sizing mean?! A 34 D does NOT seem the same at all. In previous experience two different cup+band sizes fit VERY differently even if they were supposedly equivalent.
Answer
What it means is that they both have the same cup volume. Bras have sister sizes (bands get longer or shorter and the cup wires differ but hold the same breast volume.)
34D = 32DD = 30DDD/E = 28F <- you can wear any of these sizes but if you were properly measured to be a 28F the 28F will fit the best and give you the most band support and cup coverage.
Once you go over DD different bra companies use different letter systems based on their country of origin so the best thing to do is count 2 cups over DD (usually in the F/G ballpark) Few US manufacturers make 28 bands, and they usually count F as G. But don't worry, there are many places online and in person where you can buy bras that use UK sizing without having to convert to pounds or anything like that.
Bras you could order online:
http://www.amazon.com/Panache-Womens-Tango-Balconnet-Deep/dp/B00BFPWHIW/
http://www.amazon.com/Cleo-Panache-Marcie-Balconnet-Candy/dp/B00EPCSVRS/
http://www.figleaves.com/us/
http://www.barenecessities.com/
If there is a Nordstrom or Macy's close to you, go there to try on bras in person. (They don't sell 28 bands but they do have 30DDD/E.)
Measure yourself and pop in the numbers here to be sure of your proper size: http://sizemapp.com/en/
And watch this vid of a girl going from 36C to 30FF to see what a difference it makes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=OLeNE6GT7Bs

I'm confused, what is my bra size?
T_Y_R_A
I googled how to measure your bra size and even searched it on Y!A but I keep getting different answers. Some of the answers would mean I'm a D (which I'm sure I'm not) and some would mean I'm a AA. The measurement under my boobs was 27 and the measurement on the fullest part was 31 1/2. So can someone just tell me my bra size and you don't have to but it would be helpful to tell me how you got it.
Answer
You're a 32A (depending on the brand and cut of bra).
The band size is what you measure under your breasts. If you get an odd number, add five inches, if you get an even number add four. That is your band size. Next, measure the fullest part, usually at nipple level, of your breast. Subtract that number in inches from your band. If you have 35 inches as your bust and 31 inches as your band, you'd have four inches. For each inch of difference go up a cup size. In this instance, four inches difference would mean a D cup.
You measured 27 at your ribcage. Add five inches for it being odd. Your band becomes 32.
You measured 31.5 at your bust. 32-31.5 makes it a .5 inch difference. Your cup is an A.
Not all body types are the same, and this is just a very close estimate. Different brands of bras, different cups, will fit you differently than others. Start out with this bra size and adjust the straps/band if you feel it does not fit right, then adjust accordingly.

how bout this one manu over diop? SICK!!!
Answer
yeah those are some serious monster dunks by Ginobili. what i like about Manu's dunks is they always surprise me. It doesnt look like he's gonna dunk, and you are thinking he isn't gonna dunk, and then Wham!!
The sweetest dunk ever is a Shawn Kemp dunk probably around 1995-96. Not even sure who they were playing, but he totally slams it down on the run doing a one handed rock the cradle and then he lands, hops back, and with both hands points and laughs at the guy he just totally posterized. Shawn Kemp was the best dunker ever in my opinion. Even better than Jordan.

Size difference between a girls and womens bra?

Kelly
is it me or is there really a size difference between a 34A girls bra compared to a 34A womens bra
Answer
Yes, there is. It's all depending on the body shape. The girls bra is not as supportive and is probably smaller because it's for a smaller frame. The womens bra is catered for a larger body. For example, Victoria's Secret sizes are bigger than their Pink line sizes because the Pink line is catered to a younger demographic. The difference isn't too big-at the most, at least a cup size (if you were a 32B at Pink, you'd be a 30B or even a 32A at the regular store). But in most cases, the biggest difference is in the style, the amount of push-up, etc. If it's a push-up bra, there would be a difference in the padding between the juniors sized bra and the womens.

i'm a small chested girl too, 32A (but i'm really short & skinny so it fits).
anyway, i have the same problem as you with finding bras that fit right.
the best ones i've found are on JCPenny.com & at walmart.
victorias secret has some nice ones too, but i can't justify paying that much for a bra at this time in my life (i'm 17 & broke lol)
the ones at walmart that i got were in the juniors half on the lingerie dept. they're all multi-colored & cute looking, but really make your chest look nice & natural & sexy. when i got mine the were like $10 each.
the ones i got from jcpenny (they only really have them online i think?) are:

i watched the premiere of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila 2 the other day, and in the beginning, she has a really sparkly bra. does anyone know where i can get one?
Answer
yep, making it qould prob be the best way to go about it. just go to a craft stroe and pick out all the jewels and use a fabric glue to put them on. or theres this other kind its a one step stud system called "GeMagic" which you can also get at craft stores to put them on and they come in allll different colors and sizes. Its like $8 for a larger pack of just the studs or like $28 for the studs and the applicator.

Breastfeeding – pumping bra?

Has anyone tried a pumping bra like this? http://store.nursingmothersupplies.com/cgi-bin/store-mothernursingsupplies/scan/fi=products/st=db/co=yes/sf=category/se=Pumping%20Bras/op=eq.html?id=Cega6Tim Does it work? I am thinking about getting it to use at work, will it be too much trouble to put on and take off? I have a private office where I can pump. I have the Medela Pump in Style.
Yummy - what a great idea! I was reluctant to spend the $30 (but then again, it is still so much cheaper than formula, right?)
Answer
not personally... but last month at a mom's night out (we're crafting nerds, so we get together to do scrapbooking, stamping, and other mommy crafts)... I got up to use the bathroom and when I returned, the lady sitting next to me, whom I know - but not very well, was using one and still working on her scrapbooking stuff!!! she's also an elementary school teacher, and says she uses it in her classroom during her conference period and grades papers - EVERY DAY!!!
It was cool!
she actually had this one: http://www.llliclothes.com/Bras/Nursing-Bras/Hands-Free-Pump-Bra.html and she was using a medela pump in style btw!
this is interesting, but if you're going to do it while at work, I'd spring for a real pumping bra: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/hands-free-pumping.html

WHAT IS A DEMI BRA??
plezzhelpm
i need a new bra... but i want to get a good one... i keep looking at victorias secret and i keep seeing demi bra... WHAT IS A DEMI BRA!?!
they do have pictures... but to me all bras look a like... LOL... i just want to know wat it does
Answer
It's a half-cup bra, meaning that it does not cover the top half of the breast like a full-cup bra does. Generally, demi-cup bras are considered sexier because they reveal more and are great for lower cut, square-neckline tops or dresses.
For comparison, here are examples of a demi-cup bra and a full-cup bra.
Demi-cup bra: http://www.lavinialingerie.com/sheer-bra-6138.html
Full-cup bra: http://www.lavinialingerie.com/full-coverage-plus-size-bra-6372.html
Good luck with your search.

Quality plus sized bras?
Missa
I'm a sexy full figured woman. I wear a size 46F bra.
Problem: I can't find any of quality in my size.
I like Demi, balcony/balconette, push up type bras. They have to be supportive and not look like something my grandmother would wear and for gosh sakes they have to last! Preferably something cheap cuz i'm not made of money here. Does anyone know of any good brands, websites, or stores that carry something that big for under $30?

Fastest way from O'hare area to Wrigley field?
Stu
What is the fastest way (cab? train? other?) to get from O'hare airport area to Wrigley field on a Tuesday around 6pm? How long would this method take? Thanks!
Answer
The problem is getting from the train to the park. During the hours hours before the game, Addison is an absolute nightmare. It is only one lane in each direction and everybody who doesn't know any better is using it, plus you are at the tail end of the rush hour.
Do not get off at Addison. Get off at Irving Park Rd, the stop just before Addison. Irving Park is two lanes in each direction and gets less Cubs traffic. Take the 80 Irving Park bus east to Sheridan/Sheffield (it's Sheridan north of Irving Park and Sheffield south of Irving Park) and walk three blocks south on Sheffield to Wrigley Field.
And I am not convinced that taking the train is the fastest way. You will be going at the end of rush hour so a taxi will probably get you there faster. Hopefully the taxi driver will know better than to take Addison. Taking a taxi also eliminates the time it takes to wait for the next bus/train, the time it takes to walk down to the train station and then from the train to the bus stop. And a taxi is going to run on the same street as the bus without having to stop every two blocks along the way.
A taxi is going to be a LOT more expensive. But if time, not money, is your concern, go with the taxi.

Answer
Well you could use rare candy (but you can't buy it so use it wisely)
You could leave your pokemon at the daycare centre but I recommend you don't because they delete some of the moves and teach your pokemon crappy moves (unless you have a way of getting back the tm or hm your pokemon use to know).
Put the Exp. share on the weakest pokemon you have (or any pokemon you just want level up faster). Go to really strong trainers and use the vs seeker. After you've fought all the the strong trainers go to the grass and fight pokemon. After a while (over half and hour) go back to the strong trainers and use the vs seeker again.
If you know anyone else with a ds (like a friend or someone in your family) that has pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Ask them if you can trade pokemon, if they say yes trade the pokemon you want to level up faster back and forth everytime
you trade a pokemon, their normal ammount of experience bar will be shorter, making it easier to level up!
Hope this helped

Bra survey (I need advice)?

I'm a guy who wears a bra.
I posted a topic about quantity/types of bras i should get
but couldn't get a straight answer.
I'm a B/C cup.
Could you guys/girls fill this out?
Bra size:(Dont put if you feel uncomfortable)
Amount of bras:
Types of bras you own:
What is the best kind of bra to wear?
Answer
Bra size: 34/36C.
Amount of bras: Maybe 12.
Types of bras you own: I usually wear full-cup bras with under wires. No padding or anything fancy. Just solid colors. I wear sports bras sometimes too, but only when I just feel like wearing a t-shirt and jeans around or I have to do physical activity. I have some sexy bras too, but they're only worn on special occasions.
What is the best kind of bra to wear? Something comfortable and well-made. You don't want to buy something cheaply made because it will come apart easily and the under wire will start poking you. I think comfort is more important than how the bra looks, personally.

Question about bras :)?
Q. Hey everyone! :) Do sports bras ever get to small? R they kinda like training bras where u grow out of them? I wear a sports bra and i was just wondering if i will ever have to start wearing a bra with cups? SO could u tell me if i willl have to start wearing a bra with cups and if sports bras ever get to small? Thanks soo much. Also I kinda want to wear a cupped bra on special occasions but i dont want my boobs to look like they have grown over night because i wear a sports bra every day. SO can i wear a cupped bra without looking like my boobies have grown over night? Thanks so much for ur help :)
Answer
sports bras are meant to prevent excessive bouncing during heavy activity. However as you probily noticed sports bras are not sized like cup bras. Sports bras are just sized based on your width, while cup bras are sized based on width and size of boobs. It seems like you are wearing a sports bra to do a training bras purpose. So to answer your question as long as your width doesnt increase your boobs cannot outgrow a sports bra. However if your boobs are big enough to fill an A cup, you should start wearing cup bras on a day-day basis. And since a sports bra kinda smothers your boobs to prevent bouncing, when you transfer to cup bras it really will look like your boobs grew overnight, And people including yourself will just have to deal with the fact that you actually have boobs

A Short History
CADOLLE is, above all a story of a family:
It is much talked about, and much written about: Herminie CADOLLE invented the very first bra in Paris is 1889.
This women, a friend of the infamous Louise Michel, who had no particular inclination towards this trade, was first and foremost a business women. She was also very much an action women.
One day, she had the brilliant idea of liberating women from the constraints of the corset; she created the very first bra, which supported the breast by means of shoulder straps. Herminie Cadolle had decided to separate the traditional corset into two parts, the top part specifically designed to support the bosom (and called the "corselete-gorge"). Until then breasts were painfully crushed under a long, tight-laced whalebone corset. Herminie's new undergarment, held in place with laces in back and satin shoulder straps, was revolutionary. She displayed her invention in Paris at the Great Exposition of 1900 beneath Gustave Eiffel's recently completed tower. Lingerie has never been the same since. Every season, when designers show off their new collections, a couture sale is often followed by a call to Poupie Cadolle, Herminie's great-great-granddaughter. Her magical underpinnings are known to make a dress fit the way it should.
We shan't go deep into the story of this extraordinary women and her family here, it would take an entire book because Herminie was just the first in a long line of women where each one of her descendants contributed to what could well be called the CADOLLE SAGA.
For the record, Herminie was the first to encourage the weavers of Troyes to incorporate rubber in their threads: it was the era of discovery of the rubber tree. Elastic thread (at the time known as "rubber thread") would soon replace whalebone and lacing.
It should be noted, that it would be Herminie's great-great-grand-daughter who would one day instigate the return to this antiquated fashion.
Herminie worked hard to develop her business, and the awards reflected this success: medals from Saint-Petersburg in 1904, Chicago in 1906, Saint-Louis in 1907, Paris in 1910 etc...
In 1914 the First World War broke out, and radically changed the undergarment industry. Men went off to fight in the war, and the women were called upon to take charge of the factories. The corsets became extinct, and the bra became a must-have, a product for the new manual workers.
Marie CADOLLE, the daughter-in-law of Herminie, would continue her important work. The First World War had amongst it many other consequences, irreversibly changed the image of the female form.
Until that time, women's clothes served only one purpose-to be beautiful by accentuating the female form. After the war, clothing took on the role of CREATING the female form.
Haut Couture was born...
Marguerite, Marie's daughter-in law, saw the opportunity and seized it-she quickly accessed the advantages of the situation. Up until this point, the seamstress had built the dress for the women who would wear it, now it would be the women who would wear a dress that had been designed to represent a certain style.
Since dresses would no longer be shaped to fit the women, Marguerite CADOLLE decided that she would shape the body of the women to fit the dress; she invented and put into production elasticated materials for which purpose she opened an entire factory.
Low cut necklines, dress of extreme styles; through her creations, Marguerite would build a union between underwear and outerwear.
She had already created the flattening bra for Coco Channel. She created bras in fine silk which were embroidered entirely by hand for the Duchess of Windsor.
Things had really come a long way since the ribbon and strap bras that Herminie made for the infamous spy Mata Hari. She went regularly to Mata Hari's suite at the Ritz. In this privacy Mata Hari would remove the live boas she wore around her neck like amulets and permit Marguerite to take her measurements. Another noted client, Wallis Simpson was "a terrible client, in fact the only one we refused eventually". Annie Giardot is a customer. Moreau is a regular.
When Marguerite died in 1933, at the age of 43, she left the business to her daughter Alice, a woman as energetic and creative as her mother. Even during the German Occupation of France, Alice continued to make beautiful lingerie using curtains for materials, Scarlett O'Hara style, when there was no lace to be had.
But, the name CADOLLE remained, much to the pleasure of it's regular clients, synonymous with rare luxury.
Alice CADOLLE would maintain this reputation as of 1933. The reputation of the company amongst the most elegant women in the world would know no bounds.
Many awards celebrate the loyalty of the company to it's high standards. Alice won the most prestigious award of fashion in the United States in 1949, just two years after Christian DIOR, the Neiman Marcus Award.
These days, crowned heads have been replaced little by little by wives of businessmen or oil barons. The princesses of the Middle-East have replaced Russian Archduchesses. Film stars have replaced the stars of the opera. The Cadolle client list is as closely guarded as a queen's true measurements. But a pregnant Barbara Hutton used to fly the staff to her London hotel each month for one of each in every color. Christina Onassis got all her bathing suits from CADOLLE. Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot must call ahead like everyone else.
Too discreet to name more of her famous clients, Madame CADOLLE divulges that among them figure three queens ("and après tout, how many queens are there today?"). She offers a tattered black slip, full of holes, which a French duchess wants copied. "Voil´ comme les riches sont", she explains holding up the garment, which looks like it's been taken from a trash can. She is one of the richest women in France, and look what she sends me. But, alas she is a duchess." Later Poupie fishes out the underwear of an English aristocrat who has her crest embroidered on each individual piece-even her garter belts. But her best client in recent years, she admits, is neither English nor French, but a "favorite" of one of the Saudi sheiks. She orders twelve sets of everything, explaining, "I have twelve houses and I never carry a suitcase."
"The corset is coming back into style," Madame Cadolle affirms. "Men love their women in them." And men are among her most loyal clients. But they love black."
Today, CADOLLE lingerie is still synonymous with luxury, discretion and the perfect fit. Each garment is custome-made and hand-finished, exclusively in France, with a price that reflects the 12-30 hours of labor that make it a CADOLLE.
Fad? Before this invention in 1889 women never wore bras.
Today... who knows. I don't wear on unless I have too.

I need help measuring my bra size.?

Annyo
I measured my bust and it's 30 inches, then I measured beneath my bust and it's 28 inches. What is my bra size?
I forgot to mention that I do not fit in any AA cups and I can barely make some of the A cups work. So, I've been having trouble with my size.
I do not fit in a 32 A....
Answer
To best measure your bra size its best to do it with your bra off. Go into the bathroom, and use a soft measuring tape. Like the type tailors use, not the hard type constructors and plumbers use. Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of bust. For me and most other women this is usually right across the nipples. Make sure it is fitting naturally around your bust and not too tight nor too loose. Remember this number. This is the CUP size. Now, measure right underneath your bust. Some people say to do it on top of the bust but I like to do it underneath. Measure underneath your bust and remember this number as well. This is the BAND size. Now, subtract the BAND size from your CUP size. If the difference is:
0 inches--AA cup
1 inch--A cup-
2 inches--B cup
3 inches--C cup
4 inches--D cup.......so on and so forth.
Then you take your band size measurement and apply it towards your band size. For example your bust was 30 and your band was 28 so you seem to be a 28 B. However, 28 is a rather small band size. The smallest band you will probably find in most places is a 32. 32 should work just fine and shouldnt be much of a difference. I would go try on some 32 B size bras and let me know how they fit!

How do you measure bra cup size volume?
Q. I know how to measure for the number but not exactly sure for cup size I want to know what bra size cup I need? Please help
Answer
First measure directly under your breast for your waist/band size. (36)
Then measure at the fullest part of your breast for the bust size. (40)
Subtract the band size from the bust size.
Then subtract 40-36 = 4.
The difference is the cup size.
Cup size is the number in alphabetical order
A=1
B=2
C=3
D=4
DD/E = 5
F/DDD = 6
G = 7
H= 8
and so on.

Can plus size women wear strapless bras?

te
Answer
yes if there are strapless bras in your size. The band of a bra is where you get 90 percent of the support of the bra. There are strapless bras up to a size GG and band sizes up to 40. There are some brand that do long line bras. These bras are strapless and hold up well.

plus size push up bra?
Alicia
I have been looking to get a push up bra that really gives me cleavage. My boobs are too separated to get the look i am achieving. I have gone to lane bryant and bought a push up bra there, but it really didn't help much. I don't know where else to look. I'm looking for something like the miraculous push up bra by victoria's secret, but being plus size makes it harder to find! I don't need to go up two cup sizes but i'd like just the pushed up cleavage. thank you for trying to help! :]

A multi way bra is a bra you can wear several ways, for example, you can remove the straps and make it strapless or cross the straps to wear with a tank top or leave one strap and take off the other to wear with a one shoulder dress.

Do you wear bra while sleeping?
Kristi
I wear bra at night. But recently I chatted with fashion designer and she told me that wearing bra at night is not good. I tried sleeping with bra off. But I felt unsecured.
Is there any problem of wearing bra while sleeping?
Answer
Wearing a bra to bed has no benefits or disadvantages. It will not increase your risk of cancer, it will not prevent sagging or cause it, it will not stunt growth or any other strange myth you've heard. Bras only create an illusion of having perker, fuller, shapely breasts while the bra is ON. It does nothing for you in the long run.
Wearing a bra to bed is a matter of personal preference and comfort. Do whatever you feel is more comfortable. As for myself, I don't like wearing a bra to bed (it'll also wear out my bras faster.)

Where do you like to buy your bras?
Q. I've asked this before and got a ton of girls say victorias secret. I like how they look but I'm looking for one that's comfortable as well. The ones I tried from them are itchy. I really like fredericks of hollywood but there's not one nearby to my knoweledge. I don't like the kind that cover the whole breast because they stick up above your shirt. I'm looking for a comfortable plunge type. Thank you girls!!!!!!!!!
Answer
Wacoal and Felina make fabulous bras for average and above average chest sizes. You can get these brands at Nordstrom, Macy's, and other nicer department stores. Felina makes sexier, prettier bras with matching undies. Wacoal makes bras that are uber comfortable and perfectly fitting, but are not as cutesy.
I have found that Fredericks and VS bras are poorly made, strangely proportioned, and are inconsistent in sizes. Also, they tend to be uncomfortable.
Being a 34dd, I am extremely choosy with bras. They have to have perfect lift, separation, and no busting or falling out over the top. I go with Felina as my #1, then Wacoal, and lastly Olga.

A maternity bra?
cmf242004
I am 7 1/2 mo. pregnant fairly petite, am having a hell of a time "keeping UP" with the bra department. Suggestions? I have gone from 32A-36B need a new bra already! 38B? Thanks.
Answer
You can get the strap extenders to make more use out of your current bras. You could consider getting nursing bras at this point if you plan to breastfeed. You should get fitted at a maternity store, but the lady told me to get a bra that fits on the tightest hook now, and a cup size that gives you a little room to grow, but isn't too loose. You usually go up a cup size when your milk comes in. A 38C nursing bra should do.

maternity sleep bra??
Q. Do I really need the cotton ones or can I wear a normal nursing bra?
Answer
I'm sure you'd be fine wearing a regular nursing bra, I bought these sleeping ones from Motherhood Maternity that I love. I wear them during the day since I'm at home anyways, they're more comfy then ones with the underwires.

Where can I buy cheap bras that will last?

Bloooop
I am so sick of spending 10-20 bucks on a bra, but it always ends up being a POS. The wires come through and once it goes through the washer and dryer a few times it starts fitting like crap. I'm looking to not spend more then 25 on a bra without some convincing haha. Also, I'm a 32C so if you know of some places that carry that size that would be great cause not all places do. And don't suggest Victoria's secret. I know they have sales and whatnot but it's still too expensive even on sale, and out of the three that I have bought they still give me issues.
Answer
$10-20 for a bra is actually quite cheap...
Idk how you could find a bra for cheaper than that and if you did it would not be good quality.
Here's some places with good quality bras:
Kohl's: $25 and up. Check out the clearance rack for bras $15 and under.
Target: $10 and up. Love their bras! They have some really pretty ones. I got a great quality pushup, it's satiny feeling and lacy and was on sale for $15. I also found a great criss-cross back one for only $6 on clearance. You have to dig around the clearance to find good ones.
Aerie: It's by American Eagle. They are usually $20 and up but they are always having awesome sales.
Places like Macy's & J.C. Penny's have good ones too but they are always $25 and up.
** Aerie also has an abundance of 32Cs. I am a 32C too. They are actually really cute too.

What is the best bra you have ever worn?

K B
In your opinion, what brand makes the best bras. I only asked because, well... I don't really know much about bras and i'd like to hear what you guys have to say so that the next time i go bra shopping i'll have a better idea of what to get. (I only recently moved out of the kids's section).
On a scale of 1-10 how do they rank in:
1) Comfort
2) Support
3) Appearance
4)Coverage
5)Llift (optional, I'm still young so I won't be needing any push ups)
6)Fit
7) Overall
I'd also like if you could give me details, like if it's a plunge, racer back, balconette ect., why it's your favourite, if it slips when you bend over, if it itches like crazy, ect., you could even include a picture if you like. Feel free to rate your not-so-favourites too, I will appreciate any information or advice you can give me.
Here is my favourite so far just in case you know even less than I do:
Brand: Hanes
Comfort:91/2
Support:9
Appearance:10
Coverage: 10
Fit: 9
Lift:none
Details: Appearance got a ten because it's plain and black; decorated, frilly ones look funny under my school uniform. It dosen't slip, even if i dance around all crazy-like. The only thing wrong with the fit
is that it fits one side kinda bucket-like ( only because one side is slightly smaller). Im not sure but I'm guessing it's a plunge.

I love Aerie bras. I've worn Aerie, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart and Aerie is my favorite by far. I've tried on Victoria Secret bras, but they weren't comfortable or fit weird and they are expensive. I've tried three different styles from Aerie (the Abigail, the Emma, and the Paige) and my favorite is the Abigail followed by the Emma. I will do a form for each of the Aerie bras I've tried.
Brand: Abigail by Aerie
Comfort: 10
Support: 10
Appearance: 5 (mine is just a plain nude colored one)
Coverage: 7
Lift: Pushup gives a "perkier" effect
Fit: 10
Details: Mine is a plain nude color. The bra can be worn strapless or regular. The bra came with a pair of clear plastic straps, a regular pair of straps, and a pair of decorative ruched straps. The bra band is lined in rubber in order to prevent the bra from sliding when it is worn strapless. There is a lot of padding in the bra and I had to buy the bra in a size bigger than I normally am. The inside of the cups are decorative and it plunges in the front.
Overall: 10
Brand: Emma by Aerie
Comfort: 8
Support: 10
Appearance: 10
Coverage: 8
Lift: Extreme lift
Fit: 9
Details: The bra can be worn regular, criss-cross, or racerback. Mines a bright coral color with white lace on the cups. The lace isn't very frilly so it doesn't look weird under tops. There are air pads inside of the bra cups for extra lift, but they can be removed. The bra claims to enhance you a cup size. I'm not sure if it does or not, but it is an amazing pushup! The band fits a little tightly and the bra straps tend to dig into my shoulders and leave marks, but all-in-all I really like this bra. They also came with a matching thong which are just as pretty and comfortable.
Brand: Paige by Aerie
Comfort: 10
Support: 8
Appearance: 6 (mine was just plain black)
Coverage: 8
Lift: Slight lift
Fit: 8
Details: Mine was plain black and could only be worn regular. It was the first bra I owned from Aerie. The fabric was very soft and the straps were made of a silk-like material. The material could easily be picked though. It had the most coverage out of all my Aerie bras, but it didn't have a lot of pushup and just slightly lifted.

I'm 16, will my bra size ever get bigger?
Girl
I'm 16 and I've been a 32A forever. My breasts have not grown at all since middle school and niether has my height. I feel like i've stopped growing even though i'm only 16. And i've had my period since I was 10.
My mother is not flat-chested like me and i'm just wondering, will they EVER grow? I mean i'm not skinny either. I'm 5'5" and 120 - 130lbs which is a pretty average weight.
Have they stopped growing? If not, how can I make them grow bigger?
Help please?
Does this have to do with diet/exercise or anything? Help!
Answer
Nothing WRONG. Your breasts usually continue to grow for about four years after your first period. The age at which breasts stop growing is all dependent on the individual, her family and her hereditary. Girls will typically find that their breasts and their height will stop growing around the ages of 17 or 18, though some experts believe that a woman's breasts will reach their final size once they've had a child. But since not all women decide to have children, the average age that a woman will experience a stop in growth is in her late teens.
At this point if you like then wear breast enhancing bras. Pick bras with thicker padding to help create a bustier appearance. Popular styles include padded push up bras and bras specifically designed to lift and squeeze the breasts.
- Use silicone inserts. Place the inserts into the bottom of your bra to create the appearance of fuller breasts. Experiment with different insert sizes and shapes to find the style that is right for you.
- Choose clothing with that features flattering cuts. For example, shirts and dresses with V-lines may work wonders to enhance your breasts and cleavage. Experiment with different clothing styles and lines to find what works best for your body type.
- Important is Exercise your chest. Perform exercises like push ups to work the underlying pectoral muscles. Muscle-building exercises that target your shoulders, back and chest can also improve your breasts. According to "The Body Sculpting Bible for Women," push-ups, chest presses and shoulder presses all aid in toning your chest area, which builds muscle underneath the breasts. As you continue to work out, your breasts will lift, become firmer and appear larger due to the muscles. Exercise 3 to 4 times weekly to see breasts improvements. These types of exercises give the breasts a fuller and firm appearance.
- Eat a high fat diet. but also exercise with that too.
But what we mean medically by breast “growth” can be very subtle. Breast tissue develops through five “stages” during puberty. Stage 1 is the flat, childhood chest. Stage 2 is breast “budding”, when the nipples swell and become tender. In Stage 3, breast tissue enlarges from gland and fat development. Young teens usually start their first period about this time. During Stage 4, the breasts may change only in shape rather than size, and the nipples protrude. Then in Stage 5, breast growth is completed. By age 17 or 18 you’ll know your final breast size.
Hope That i Answered your Question.

What's the best bra to lift and shape?
Q.
Answer
The Best bra brand for lift and shape and support is Panache Superbra. They do bras from a 28D to a 42KK. I personally am a 30K and i love the Ariza Full cup bra http://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/sensational-sets/panache/balconette-bras/pnk4-details.aspx?colour=cornflower&ck=GocqCBVFNsVw%2bfJThDXzfA%3d%3d
But in general if you want good shape, support and lift a full cup bra is best no matter what your size. If you are meaning lift and shape as in cleavage however then you want a moulded plunge bra that is in the right size. If you get a plunge bra in the wrong size you may have more cleavage from the front but from the side you'll look like a pancake

What size bras are out there i 've head of HH and A,B,C,D but not like GG of HH what are they?
Answer
There are two components to a bra size, a number and then a letter i.e 38D.
The letters stand for the cup size, or how far out from the chest wall the breast tissue grows. (how big the boobs are) They run from size AA (smallest) through to H (very large). There are bra sizes out there for even bigger boobs, but ive never heard of anything larger than J. You measure over the fullest part of the breast and around the back to find the cup measurement.
The number in a bra size is a measurement of your back. I.e a 28 inch measurement of your back taken from under the breasts will need a 28 numbered bra.
The ideal bra will be flush around the whole body and between the breasts, will fully encase the breasts with no bulges or gaps, offer good support, lifting the breasts and the back should not ride up.

What is the CORRECT way to measure my bra size?
Floss
I have looked on numerous websites for the correct way to size myself. The method where you measure your under bust and full bust (on Wiki for example) has told me I'm an F... and the method where you measure both of these plus an upper bust has told me I'm an A! I'm sitting very tightly in a D at the moment... so what's the deal???
i tried your method Kara S and it told me i'm an F....
then i tried rarabear21's method and it told me i'm a B....
this is what i mean haha!
Answer
Do NOT add 5 inches! I'm on the same forum as the girl who wrote the wiki; she makes corsets and knows what she's talking about. Ignore Lingerie Lady; her name is misleading.
Have you heard of Bravissimo? If not, they're a UK D+ bra specialist. Every fitter they have has been professionally trained and - most importantly - they don't use tape measures. This is what is written on their website:
So many people still consider a DD or E cup to be of glamour girl proportions, believing that a size like that could never be for them, and yet Bravissimo estimates that a 34E is the average UK bra size. We want to challenge any misconceptions that still linger about bigger boobs and how bra sizes can look.
And this is what they say about measuring:
Throw Away Your Tape Measures!
For many women, past experiences in trying to find the right bra size have meant hunting down a tape measure and measuring themselves - taking over and under bust measurements, adding or subtracting another number, working out the difference between two other numbers and then, hey presto, ending up with a bra size.
At Bravissimo, years of experience of working with you to find your perfectly fitting bra means we believe that tape measures don't help when it comes to finding a bra that fits properly. Every woman's boobs vary in volume, shape, size and spacing and these are all factors in getting the right size. The volume of your boobs may be more at the bottom, sides or top, and this will affect the size you need to ensure you look great and feel comfortable. If you take a number of women with identical over and under bust measurements, our experience shows the bras that actually fit them may all be different sizes.
However, if you really don't have a clue what size you are, and there's not a PROPER bra specialist near you, measuring might be a good idea - but only so you get a rough guide. Say your measurements suggest a 30E; try it on. If it's too loose in the band, go for a 28F, if it's too big in the cup, try a 30DD, and so on.
Don't be freaked your measurements suggest an F. Mine say I'm a 28F, and I wear 28E/F. If you do the usual 'add 5 inches', I'd be a 32C. I wore that size for years and now I can't believe I used to squeeze myself into it. Say everyone uses that technique; people are wearing a band too big and a cup too small. And if everyone got a proper fitting, the 'normal' sizing would go from 32-38 A-C, to 28-36 A-G, or whatever.
So - use the Wiki page. Here is the girl's website: http://www.belladonnaeyes.co.uk/menu_page.htm
If you look on the 'bra fitting' page, she explains, with great detail, the myths and problems with bra sizing and fitting.

It looks as if there are no green colors on a basketball...
The yellow floors of freshly laid wax look amazing...
Look at them red stripes on the basketball floor...
The yellow floor reflects from the basketball court, and the players eyes...
Ow, I see red when the basketball player makes his move, as I'm for the other side...
The basketball players colors are yellow and blue...
Them players look as if they had one too many, look at their red eyes...
The basketball field played hard, and earned the best money of all, "Green!"
I hope this is what you were pertaining to...
