Can you tell me what cup size I am?

Smiley Fac

Okay my measurements are 32' 38' 36' About what cup size am I thanks for the answers!

Answer
Measure around the bottom of your boobs (32) now measure around the fullest part of your breasts.
The difference = cup size.

1 inch = A cup
2 inch = B cup ,etc.

However its not fool proof. My "measurements" say I should wear a 35H, but in reality I wear a 36DD.
And even when I was measured professionally that is what they said (36DD)
So, you should get a professional opinion.

Bras fit right when the band lays flat across your back (not riding up across your shoulders)
and you should get 90% of the support from the cups, not the straps.

Put on the bra, bend forward and shake your boobs really hard. When you stand back up, your breasts should not be flowing over the cups. If they are, you need to go up a size.

i know it sounds a little perverted, im sorry... but my girlfriend dared me to find her bra size... normally i wouldnt mind, but i sat down to thnk n i myself am a bit curious to find out... picture references would be helpful.

Answer
I can't believe I'm doing this, these are really bad examples, but...

I'm going to link to some pictures of me:

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q144/modbod_yumalicous/Immoveable/l_cce710e7acfa1d5dc2ace718115745e9.jpg

This is when I was 12. I was a 34 B. I was actually a 32 around, but they don't really sell 32 band sizes that often.

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q144/modbod_yumalicous/Immoveable/l_74cf5f4e8b136b244f95549002797bda.jpg

This is when I was 15 and a 34 C.

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q144/modbod_yumalicous/Immoveable/l_59f207956e1172c200eaa293e0af36b1.jpg

This is when I was 16. I was a 34 D. Like above, I'm actually a 32 around, but its difficult to find 32 D bras in regular stores.

I'm now a 34 DD, but unfortunately (or fortunately) I don't have any pictures of that.

Basically, if she's pretty petite she's probably a 34 or 36. If she's a little larger around she's probably a 40. If she's really large around she's probably a 46 or a 48.

Regardless of how big AROUND she is, if they are barely different from the rest of her body she is probably and A cup. If she's poking out a bit more she's probably a B cup. If they are a pretty decent size she's probably a C cup. If she's a little bit larger than normal she's probably a D cup. If she's quite a bit larger than normal she's probably a DD cup. Now, if she's absolutely HUGE and I do mean HUGE for her body frame she could be an E, or EE, or higher which despite popular belief, isn't that rare in todays overweight society.

If she's somewhat skinny I'd just go for an average 36 C. If its too small she won't be that offended. If its too big she'll probably feel flattered. Either way she probably won't care that much because you are just a guy and she doesn't expect you to be experienced in that area.

So yeah... hope that helped.

what is the bra cup and size of a metric cup in japanese?

starryhear

what is the bra/cup size of a metric cup in japanese converted into english (ex: g metric or I metric and so forth). like i am a 44 D so what would that be in the japanese metric system of bra size.and in reverse (the i metric and so forth) for japanese into english/ english/japanese conversion.

Answer
Rather than examine what makes a bra sexy, let's look instead to how Japan seems to have a different measurement for its bras.

First off... having a large number in the chest measurement department isn't nearly as important as the actual cup size.

Being smaller in stature, a woman with a 32 D chest looks larger than someone who is a 44 B.

The number represents the measurement around the chest, the cup measures the breast. Got it? Good. I know I am simplifying things...

Now... in Japan, even though they measure in metric (using centimeters) versus the classic Imperial measurement in inches - no big deal... just convert - the Japanese have a slightly different measurement in cup sizes.

I saw a photo of a Japanese AV (adult video) star implying she had an F cup. Really? It looked like a D maybe.

I suppose it could because they are inflating their charms to add to their charm, but I've discovered there is a less nefarious reason.

Now... I'm actually pretty good a picking out cup sizes. It's a gift that becomes more and more useless as I get older, but I still know what it is I am looking at and hoping to grope.

But here's the thing. Japanese cup sizes are smaller than their western counterparts.

From what I have learned, there is only supposed to be a one cup difference... but it's not. It's more than that.

A Japanese D-cup should be a western C... but in reality it might be a B or a B+.

Why the discrepancy? The numbers were altered to match the population... perhaps to better feed the ego. It's one of those reasons why I think all women's clothing is in a completely alien sizing range, with super models being a size 0, and the average woman being - I don't know, an 8... whatever... I haven't figured that out.

So... in Japan... the average cup size is a B+ to C if we are talking in western terms.

In Japan, women tend to push a bit more flesh into the bra to make it look like it's bigger. I read that somewhere.

Western women will just get a bra that fits, more or less, the actual breast size. Obviously, the more flesh you have (IE, if you are a bit more heavy-set), the more flesh you can squish into the cup.

So.. a 70-centimeter chest with a D-cup in Japan is really a 32-inch chest with a C-cup... and it might actually be a 32-B+ if she wore a bra without trying to stuff extra flesh into it (to wear it in a manner more similar to their western counterparts) .

So... yes... Japanese women have a different sizing for bras AND, they wear their bra in a different manner from the west.

In Japan - once there, I knew what it was I was getting into. I had always jokingly described my ideal woman as an Asian redhead with big tits and that I had always found two out of three while in Japan.

But... I never played that way. I had numerous girlfriends with what I would describe in westernized measurements as B+ cup sized... some as an A+, a few Cs and one or two D's and definitely one DD.

But whatever. They would tell me they were an F-Cup, and I would just laugh inside my head, thinking that they don't think I'm smart enough to know the truth... like I even cared.

However, it turns out they were telling the truth and I really wasn't smart enough to know the difference.

Now we all know. Don't make the same mistake I did. Not that I made a mistake. I used to nod and smile and thropw the damn bra across the bedroom to sit in a crumpled mass in the corner of the tatami mats.

Okay... all this talk of breasts has made me... breathy... that's not the right word, but I didn't want to write down the word 'horny'.

Push up bras for FF cup size?

georgia

I'm 19 and I'm a 38FF as of last year. I'm pretty sure I've grown as my bras have all either ripped in the middle or the back. my bra doesn't even touch my chest underneath my breasts anymore. they're very heavy and uncomfortable so I need support as well but I don't want an ugly bra. I'm looking for something sexy that pushes(and keeps) my girls up. also if anyone knows of good bathing suits for my cup size?

Answer
brastop.com specifically caters to D-K and 28-46 bands. I checked it myself and they carry many bras and swimwear in your size. I've heard many good things about Freya's Deco bra and it goes up to GG I believe. You can find it in other online places like http://www.bravissimo.com/ and http://www.herroom.com/

Since you said you've grown, it might be a good idea to double-check your size so use this guide for a rough idea: http://www.thinandcurvy.com/2010/10/how-to-measure-your-bra-size-correct.html

While nothing beats trying on bras, it might be hard to find something in your size to try on and it's hard to find a place that measures correctly. Mainstream stores like Victoria's Secret, La Senza, etc. are terrible at fitting and they carry an extremely narrow range of sizes.

like if you know what the boomerang is.... can you use that in like a normal game like a highschool game. i think itd be pretty funny if i did that in a game.

Answer
Yes, to a degree. Some of the crazy crossovers in streetball are used by professional NBA ballers. However, a lot of streetball techniques would be called for traveling or carrying in the NBA. You can't dance around your feet while doing crazy acrobatics with the ball, because that is almost surely a travel or carry. Other moves are just unclassy and will most likely not work, like bouncing the ball around the defender or through his legs. Usually, the defender or his teammates will intercept the move, and if the performer messes up, it looks awful. Some of the lower-risk moves, like the alley-oop or double crossover, are used in the NBA for show. The biggest reason, however, is that they just don't work at the NBA level, or they would be used more often. In a high school game, I'm sure it could be pulled off, but it would look terrible for you and your school if you mess up. And even if you do it, it would make you look trashy and cocky.

Opinion on bra size..?

SHAYNA

Female aged 16.
I'm pretty thin (I have a fast metabolism)
My height is 5''5.

My bra size is pretty unusual for that type of body but it is 30DD.
I'm unsure if this is big or small for my age/size.
What do you think? I normally get called flat chested.

Answer
Bra sizes don't go by age.

Your breasts sound proportional. It only SOUNDS big because majority of people don't know how bra sizes work. A properly measured DD cup is not big at all, especially on small band sizes.

30DD: http://www.brabandproject.com/gallery/search?band=30&cup=DD&age=&brand=&sister_sizes=0&search=Search

If you're bigger than that, you're in the wrong bra size.

Bra size and fit help?

cloe

I've been round about a 36B in bra size for the past three years (I'm almost seventeen), during which time I have grown two inches in height and forty pounds. However, I've recently lost about 12 pounds and a couple inches across my body, and I'm reconsidering what bra size I am.

Not too long ago, I had a rib cage measurement of almost 33 inches and a bust measurement of almost 38 inches (I think; I measured myself and didn't write it down anywhere). Now, I have a rib cage measurement of 31.5 inches and a bust measurement of 37.5 inches (self-measured, again).

At one time, 36B bras fit me perfectly, but as I've gained and lost weight, my bras have become more or less comfortable. I'm considering whether I'm now a 34C.

Bra size calculators tell me that with my current measurements, I'm still a 36B. But I have some fit issues: 1)With my bra hooked on the loosest setting (which is how I usually wear it), my bra tends to ride up. Should I hook it tighter? 2)The cup of my bra fits a bit weird. It's kind of like a tent, as in the round tip of the cup doesn't touch my nipple, the cup kind of pushes against the sides of my breasts near my ribcage, and the band connecting the cups in the front doesn't touch my skin. It doesn't feel like they quite fit or support well.

Please don't just say "have a professional measure you." I'm underage, so I don't know how that would work. What is your personal experience with bra fit? Should the cup fit like memory foam, touching every surface like it was custom made? Have you ever used a bra size calculator and found it to be wrong?

Answer
Bra size calculators are wrong a lot. They sometimes get the cup size right, but the band size completely wrong. According to calculators I'm a 32A, even though a 34B is a bit small on me.

Some fitting tips:
-The middle part between the cups should be touching the middle of your chest completely.

-The band should be pretty tight even on the smallest hook, It shouldn't be suffocating you, but you shouldn't be able to pull it more than around an inch away from your back. Try to get it as small as you can without suffocating. There's bigger hooks so that when the band starts to wear out, you can just use those. When you wear them the first time, it should be on the smallest hooks. I think you could possibly fit a 32 band at the lowest, so try that. Bra calculators may tell you you're a 36 band, but still give 32 a try, you might be surprised to find that it fits.

-The cups should fit completely around the breasts and be touching every part. If it's like a tent, then it might mean the bra cups aren't wide enough and big enough.

Just keep trying on bras until you get one that fits PERFECTLY. It may be a weird size that you think is too big, like a 32D, but when you go down a band, you usually go up a cup, and seeing as your cup may already be too small, you could probably fit a 32D or 32DD. D's aren't always HUMONGOUS, when they get lower in band sizes the cup downsizes as well. A lot of people are wearing the wrong bra size because they don't get the right band size and in turn don't get the right cup size.

How do bra sizes work?

Can somebody explain to me how bra sizes work? Like double d? What does this mean? What is an average size? What is your size ladies? Is that big?

Answer
Bra sizes consist of a number, i.e. 32 and a cup size, i.e. D.

The number refers to the length of the band, which is typically the ribcage measurement (perhaps with a couple of inches added for comfort). For example a female with a 29-31 inch ribcage might wear a 32 band.

Then letter is the ratio of cup size to band length....cup sizes are not definitive, they vary in volume depending on the band size they are coupled with. For example, a 32D is smaller on the band AND cup than a 36D....in fact a 36D has the same cup volume as a 32E and a 32D has the same cup volume as a 36B.

I know it's a bit complicated but that's the way bra sizing works. Hope this helps you understand a bit better.

What Breast (Bra) Size do you prefer?

Judy

What Breast (Bra) Size do you prefer

Answer
Ah, the bra. This icon of femininity is no longer simply a functional piece of clothing. The science of the bra has progressed incredibly, providing us with amazing support and exceptional comfort that comes in all shapes, sizes, fabrics, and fashions.

Today bra types range from the flashy to the functional, from supportive to sexy, from novelty to nursing. Some you are likely aware of. You might just end up a little more bra-savvy than when you started.

The "Classics"
>The training bra is designed for young girls whose breasts are just beginning to develop. It doesn't generally come with underwire support and is much smaller than regular cup sizes. It simply provides a small amount of support while girls get used to wearing a bra.
> The full-cup bra covers most of the breasts and is a practical, every-day bra. This bra is especially good for women with larger breasts, as it provides a lot of support and comfort.
> The demi-cup bra is a half-cup style and covers just over the nipples. It can be worn by all sizes of breasts and works well with shirts or dresses that have deeper necklines.
> The underwired bra has a wire that circles the bottom half of the breast. The wire provides support and helps to maintain the shape of the bra, but some women find underwire bras uncomfortable.
> The soft-cup bra is the alternative to underwire, and relies instead on a strong band for support. Many women prefer the comfort of the soft-cup bra.
> The strapless bra has no shoulder straps so it works well with shirts and dresses that reveal the shoulders.
> The racer-back bra uses a V shaped pattern for the shoulder straps in the back. The straps lie close to the neck, making it a better fit under certain shirts and dresses.

The "Functionals"
> The sports bra is specifically created for women who are physically active. They are supportive and comfortable even during the most rigorous exercise, as they fit snugly and hold the breasts in place.
> The maternity bra is adjustable as a woman's breasts change in size and weight throughout pregnancy. It expands to accommodate breast development and sensitivity.
> The nursing bra was created to make breast feeding easier.
> The mastectomy bra was designed for women who have had one or both breasts removed due to cancer. The bra has special cups to hold breast prostheses, providing the appearance of natural breasts.

The "Enhancers"
> The padded bra is a traditional bra with a little extra padding in the cup linings. This gives the appearance of slightly larger or fuller breasts.
> The push-up bra is designed for maximum cleavage enhancement.
> The minimizer bra is specifically for women with a very large bust - generally over 34C. The minimizer bra compresses and shapes the breasts, not only making the breasts appear smaller, but also providing greater comfort and support.
> The bridal bra is a corset that shapes the waist to fit into a wedding gown. This bra style promotes good posture and provides comfortable support for the breasts.

The "Novelties"
> The shelf bra is little more than a band that runs beneath the breasts, covering little to none of the breasts. This bra provides no support, and is more of a sexual clothing item.
> The peephole bra is also worn in sexual settings. While it does cover much of the breasts, the peephole bra features holes that expose the nipples.
> The cupless bra is a third erotic bra style. It is essentially a brassiere frame with no cups, which allows the nipples to be displayed prominently.
> The novelty bra is the final bra style that is more for show than function. Novelty bras are often part of a costume and are made of unique materials like shells or coconuts.

The "New Fangled"
> The convertible bra is a handy bra to have in your wardrobe, as the straps can be detached and rearranged to fit the style or cut of your outfit. Some convertible bras also come with transparent straps.
> The built-in bra comes sewn into the structure of a shirt or dress. They provide a measure of support - most often with an elastic band, but occasionally with a full underwire frame.
> The t-shirt bra is designed for invisibility. It is created without any raised seams so that when a woman wears a tight shirt, the garment sits smoothly without visible bra lines.
> The u-plunge bra is a clever creation that provides excellent support even while wearing a deep plunging neckline. .
> The adhesive bra uses no straps or bands, so it really doesn't provide support. It is meant to be worn with backless outfits. Some adhesive bras are made of paper, and are disposable after one use.

Plus Size Fashion Tips?

widdle_nes

My Friend whos a size 22 has asked me to help her with her fashion sense, i'm usually good with giving advice and putting together outfits, but when it comes to plus sizes i'm not to sure whats looks good and whats a no go zone.
Just some more info on her, she is very tall, blonde hair and carries most of her weight around her stomach and hips.

Any advice would be nice THANK YOU!

Answer
Think of your friend as yourself choose things that's similar to what you wear or what you know is IN, just nothing that has the stomach showing or arms some poeple find that in bad taste for plus size women....and if you DO find a nice plus size top that is sleeveless, tube, or spaghetti strap match that with a nice bolero to cover the arms but not make her hot since it's almost summer. go to http://www.torrid.com and check out the diff types of clothing they have online and you'll get the feel of what goes and what doesnt for plus size women. also shorts r sorta a no go for plus size women but if she has the legs for it...it's totally ok. If she's a BOLD type of OUT OF THE BOX dresser try pairing those shorts with a cute pair of leggings or SPANX...now this doesnt work for all shorts so you'll have to endure a bit of trial and error in matching some cute shorts with the leggings or spanx. You two should go to a mall that has a plus size store in it...mimic the styles that they have the mannequins wearing!

*Edit* Torrid sells TALL plus size womens clothes

Plus size clothing???? Help?

dat256girl

hello im a 21 year old female..i need help finding cute clothes..all the clothes i see look like things my grandmother would wear.. so if anyone knows of a website other then lane bryant & torrid that sells really cute fun flirty plus size clothing let me know...thanks

Answer
Forever21 has a plus-size section, although it is fairly limited and F21 clothes are cheap in general. Aside from there, you could try department stores like Macy's, JCP, Sear's, etc; or, stores like Target.

Personally, I loove ASOS, and they also have a huge plus-size selection! They're UK-based, so keep in mind size conversions, but shipping is free in the states. Seriously, their clothes are super cute :).

Your best bet would be to look up stylish plus-size blogs! Plus-size fashion bloggers would probably have great recommendations for wear to buy cute clothes.

What is the CORRECT way to measure my bra size?

Floss

I have looked on numerous websites for the correct way to size myself. The method where you measure your under bust and full bust (on Wiki for example) has told me I'm an F... and the method where you measure both of these plus an upper bust has told me I'm an A! I'm sitting very tightly in a D at the moment... so what's the deal???
i tried your method Kara S and it told me i'm an F....

then i tried rarabear21's method and it told me i'm a B....

this is what i mean haha!

Answer
Do NOT add 5 inches! I'm on the same forum as the girl who wrote the wiki; she makes corsets and knows what she's talking about. Ignore Lingerie Lady; her name is misleading.
Have you heard of Bravissimo? If not, they're a UK D+ bra specialist. Every fitter they have has been professionally trained and - most importantly - they don't use tape measures. This is what is written on their website:
So many people still consider a DD or E cup to be of glamour girl proportions, believing that a size like that could never be for them, and yet Bravissimo estimates that a 34E is the average UK bra size. We want to challenge any misconceptions that still linger about bigger boobs and how bra sizes can look.

And this is what they say about measuring:

Throw Away Your Tape Measures!
For many women, past experiences in trying to find the right bra size have meant hunting down a tape measure and measuring themselves - taking over and under bust measurements, adding or subtracting another number, working out the difference between two other numbers and then, hey presto, ending up with a bra size.

At Bravissimo, years of experience of working with you to find your perfectly fitting bra means we believe that tape measures don't help when it comes to finding a bra that fits properly. Every woman's boobs vary in volume, shape, size and spacing and these are all factors in getting the right size. The volume of your boobs may be more at the bottom, sides or top, and this will affect the size you need to ensure you look great and feel comfortable. If you take a number of women with identical over and under bust measurements, our experience shows the bras that actually fit them may all be different sizes.

However, if you really don't have a clue what size you are, and there's not a PROPER bra specialist near you, measuring might be a good idea - but only so you get a rough guide. Say your measurements suggest a 30E; try it on. If it's too loose in the band, go for a 28F, if it's too big in the cup, try a 30DD, and so on.
Don't be freaked your measurements suggest an F. Mine say I'm a 28F, and I wear 28E/F. If you do the usual 'add 5 inches', I'd be a 32C. I wore that size for years and now I can't believe I used to squeeze myself into it. Say everyone uses that technique; people are wearing a band too big and a cup too small. And if everyone got a proper fitting, the 'normal' sizing would go from 32-38 A-C, to 28-36 A-G, or whatever.
So - use the Wiki page. Here is the girl's website: http://www.belladonnaeyes.co.uk/menu_page.htm
If you look on the 'bra fitting' page, she explains, with great detail, the myths and problems with bra sizing and fitting.

is it bad to sleep in a bra?

lalalalala

like will you get brest cancer? that's what i've heard but i'm not sure if it's true. i sometimes sleep in a sports bra, is that alright? thank yaa(:

Answer
No. It is just a myth.

Wiki Answer:

According to The American Cancer Society, American Breast Cancer Society, and BreastCancer.org,(see reference links at the bottom of the page), wearing a bra, at day, night or both, will not give you breast cancer, although they have no scientific research to support their claim. In fact, there has not been any research to date that refutes the link between breast cancer and bras, and these organizations have shown no interest in pursuing this needed research. However, a Harvard study in 1991 did show bra-free women had a lower rate of breast cancer than bra wearing women. And a medical anthropological study published in 1995 suggested bras are the leading cause of breast cancer. The proposed method for bras causing breast cancer (the build up of "toxins" due to constriction) has been called impluasible by the American Cancer Society, although many health care practitioners find it highly plausible. In fact, cancer and lymphatic experts advise women not to wear tight bras because it can impair lymphatic drainage from the arms and chest and cause lymphedema.
Some other factors that increase your risk of breast cancer are:
Sex: Women are much more likely to get breast cancer than men.
Age: the chances of getting breast cancer increase with age, especially after 65.
Race: After age 35, White women are more likely to get breast cancer than Black women, but Black women who get breast cancer are more likely to die from it.
Family history: certain inherited genetic mutations (BRCA1 and/or BRCA2) increase the risk. Even without those genes, having a grandmother, mother, sister, or daughter diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer also increases the risk.
A woman who has previously had breast, ovarian, endometrial, or colon cancer is more likely to get breast cancer.
A woman who has had LCIS or certain other breast conditions such as atypical hyperplasia is more likely to get breast cancer.
High levels of radiation to the chest area (for treatment of lymphoma, for example) can increase the risk.
High bone density levels after menopause can increase the risk.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding history: never having children, having a first pregnancy after age 30, and never breastfeeding each increases the risk.
Menstrual history: Beginning menstruation at age 12 or younger, and/or having menopause after age 55 increases the risk of breast cancer.
Postmenopausal obesity increases the risk.
History of hormone use, including contraceptives and menopausal hormone replacement increases the risk.
Alcohol consumption: women who drink an average of only 1 alcoholic drink per day increase their risk of breast cancer by approximately 7%.
Physical inactivity increases risk.
Exposure to tobacco smoke increases breast cancer risk.

Need suggestions for a clear back dance bra for a VERY busty fairly petite woman =)?

monkie254

Hello! I have been having a really REALLY hard time finding a bra to wear under my leos for class. I am a 32 or 34 DDD and am only 5'2 and about 130lbs so i am VERY blessed! I have been wearing sports bras under my leos or the half leos under my regular leos for extra support which they give, but they look so bad under some of my prettier open back leos. Any suggestions for dance bras with a clear back that are good for a bustier girl?? Thank you =)

Answer
revolution came out with a multi way bra for dancers. It is nude in the front and very supportive. It has a clear strap in the back, and it is convertible to a cross back, racer back, spagetti, halter, strapless, multi strapless, and it is only $22. My friend is a 44 DD and she is a large, so you would probably be a medium, maybe large.

its called a convertible bra, and comes with clear straps too!!!

In a high school game, I'm sure it could be pulled off, but it would look terrible for you and your school if you mess up. And even if you do it, it would make you look trashy and cocky.

What are good Army BCT Sport Bras?

Kay

What are some good sport bras for bigger chested woman in BCT? Any help would be great! It really does not matter how much they cost I just don't want to get there and have problems.

Answer
on my 1st deployment I was issued under armor sports bras. The most comfortable, moisture wicking, and supportive sports bra I have ever worn. Be prepared, they are expensive.

better go with a white one (or ask your recruiter for the current colors authorized in BCT)

P.S. not that I'm saying its not true, i've never heard of the ace wrap, but have heard of women wearing 2 sports bras

Where to find a sports bra for a DD chest woman?

Collegebou

I ve been everywhere even Dick's Sporting Goods and the biggest cup sized I've came across was a D. I am starting to take working out seriously to lose some extra weight i have but very self conscious about my DD chest that i feel i don't workout to my full potential when I'm at the gym. I need a sports bra that will keep the girls in place and bouncing to a minimal lol. Please help ! any suggestions will be great :D THANKS!
Thanks for all the answers going to check them all out !!

Answer
I have to second the recommendation for Shock Absorbers. I bought mine off ebay for about $13 and I wear a 28H. If you do look into Shock Absorber, I suggest going up a cup size or two (an E or F cup because they use UK sizing) and I have heard that the bands run small, but I found the 28 band to work well. Some reviews if you scroll down:

Other sports bras I have haven't tried but I have good things about: Enell and Freya Active. Here are some links to reviews on herroom.com, but there are cheaper places from which to buy, but Herroom has a lot of reviews posted.

Are there any supportive bras for full figures that have skinny straps so I can wear them with tanks?

charleston

I know I am asking the impossible, but there must be something out there.

Answer
Wacoal bras have it right. The band and the cup support your breasts, so the straps can the thin! Hurray, it's a reality for those of us with big boobs! Now go to macy's or Nordstrom and try them on. They make great bras for the flast chested to the biggest sizes, they know what they are doing.

I usually see either the lilyette or wacoal minimizer as the best minimizer bras out there. You should be able to find them in a department store.

white flakes in bra, pregnant?

ashley h

I'm 9 days late. it's thursday. i tested negative on monday. last night i took off my bra and notice white flakes inside and around my nipples. they are leaking slightly too. should i test again?

Answer
Lets see you are 9 days late, and are leaking, I would think this def. means you are pregnant. Many times the HCG hormone is not prevalent enough in some women until 2 weeks after their missed period. I know with my 2nd child I totally thought I was, and then took a test and it was negative. It was such a bummer, but a week later I decided to take it again, and it was for sure a positive. Be sure to take the test first thing in the morning though, because that is when you have the most of th HCG hormone. Good Luck!!

P.S. My current pregnancy I didnt find out until I was almost 6 weeks along,

Is a 32D a big bra size?

Victoria

I'm 16 and i weigh 45kgs and i am 159cm tall, and my bra size is a 32D. All my friends say my boobs are HUGE but i don't really think they are? Maybe its just cause i'm used to them? but i just want to know, is a 32D considered to be big bra size?
thx :)

Answer
Most people would consider it big, but only because they don't know how bra sizes work and think D is the biggest size possible.

In reality, D cups are not big and bra sizes can go to K, sometimes L depending on where you look: http://thebrafitter.com.au/index.php/myth-no-2-dd-cup-is-huge/

VAST majority of large breasted women who claim to be D cups should actually be in F or higher but places like Victoria's Secret perpetuate the myth that DDD is the biggest cup size available. So women who should actually be in Ds buy B-C cups because D cups are supposedly huge when they're not.

Bra survey (I need advice)?

cutiger93g

I'm a guy who wears a bra.
I posted a topic about quantity/types of bras i should get
but couldn't get a straight answer.
I'm a B/C cup.
Could you guys/girls fill this out?

Bra size:(Dont put if you feel uncomfortable)
Amount of bras:
Types of bras you own:
What is the best kind of bra to wear?

Answer
Bra size: 34/36C.
Amount of bras: Maybe 12.
Types of bras you own: I usually wear full-cup bras with under wires. No padding or anything fancy. Just solid colors. I wear sports bras sometimes too, but only when I just feel like wearing a t-shirt and jeans around or I have to do physical activity. I have some sexy bras too, but they're only worn on special occasions.
What is the best kind of bra to wear? Something comfortable and well-made. You don't want to buy something cheaply made because it will come apart easily and the under wire will start poking you. I think comfort is more important than how the bra looks, personally.

Question about bras :)?

Q. Hey everyone! :) Do sports bras ever get to small? R they kinda like training bras where u grow out of them? I wear a sports bra and i was just wondering if i will ever have to start wearing a bra with cups? SO could u tell me if i willl have to start wearing a bra with cups and if sports bras ever get to small? Thanks soo much. Also I kinda want to wear a cupped bra on special occasions but i dont want my boobs to look like they have grown over night because i wear a sports bra every day. SO can i wear a cupped bra without looking like my boobies have grown over night? Thanks so much for ur help :)

Answer
sports bras are meant to prevent excessive bouncing during heavy activity. However as you probily noticed sports bras are not sized like cup bras. Sports bras are just sized based on your width, while cup bras are sized based on width and size of boobs. It seems like you are wearing a sports bra to do a training bras purpose. So to answer your question as long as your width doesnt increase your boobs cannot outgrow a sports bra. However if your boobs are big enough to fill an A cup, you should start wearing cup bras on a day-day basis. And since a sports bra kinda smothers your boobs to prevent bouncing, when you transfer to cup bras it really will look like your boobs grew overnight, And people including yourself will just have to deal with the fact that you actually have boobs

my best guy friend tried to take off my bra?

Nutella

me and my 3 best guy friend were coming back from school and we all had the same way.. it was very hot outside so we decided to buy ice-cream we bought them and they looked like red dicks (they didn't have the top thing) anyway we saw a sunny field and ran on it and lay on the grass.. we were all talking until I took off my jacket because it was very hot.. i was wearing pink (candy) bra and I didn't knew that it could be seen even thought I had worn a white T-shirt.. at first they didn't see and one of my best friends went home (the not-pretty-one) and after some time one of my friends touches my bra unhooker and i just said stop you fool and he stopped then when the other best friend (the sexy one that i think i like) see's my bra and tries to unhook it (without taking my T-shirt off because it was wide enough to unhook the bra from the outside) and I just keep trying to pull him away from me but he was VERY strong (he's all musculs and thing) he pushed me on the ground and kept trying and trying to take it off we both were laughing and then after i got up he finally stopped and when I sat down normally again I said you're a bad bad boy and we kept laughing and he took my bra strap and pull it UP and sad its candy pink right I said yes and don't touch me anymore (smiling) he didn't touch m anymore and so we all packed ourself up to go home and he kisses me gently on the cheek.. 2morow at school he smiled when I got in the class and on the brake he comes near m and we started talking and we was talking about himself telling me how smart and special he is and asked me who do i have a best guy friend and I told him .. (him and the two others) he laughed and we hugged each other a lot and all the day he was lovely to me not like the other days when he made jokes with me trying to make me nervous even thought he knew I knew he was joking....

I really like him and really gets my thing up if you know what I mean and he's very sexy... sometimes I imagine myself kissing him but i don't know if that means if I like him or not by the way he has given me a lot of signs that he likes me... please help me I really want to know what should i do or think...
by the way i almost forgot Im 13...:)
It wasn't any kind of sexual assult or rape it was just fun and non of them or me had any sexual mentioning ... and please dont just write any kind of answers to make more points be more understanding...

Answer
I'm not sure if it's normal for 13 year olds to play "unlock your friends bra"
specially with a male, or two... but pulling the straps hard to make it snap back
is pretty common when friends annoy each other... so i am unsure about it...

anyway, maybe he was just fooling around,
or maybe he was horny... (we can never tell)
either way, if he didn't touch or see your boobs
then it's still nothing bad...

but you have to understand the fact that stuff like that
would surely freak out an adult and make him/her nervous
because you were with two guys and they were trying to unlock your bra O_O
and i hope it was just "trying to unlock the bra"... i hope you see what i mean...

but still not wanting to sound like your dad or be a total kill joy
all i can say is just be careful because you are still young,
things like these happen to everyone and it's pretty normal
but things might happen so fast without you noticing
so just be cautious about the things you all do... :D
it is ok to have some fun and enjoy with your friends
but just be smart about it and try to be a responsible teen :D

Why does it hurt to take my bra off sometimes?

Krystal

Sometimes when I take my bra off after a long day, my breasts hurt. Like, right after I remove the bra. What causes that? Does that happen to you?

Answer
happens to me too, its normal. its just because bras like compress them i guess, and when you take off a bra it 'sets them free' and i guess it hurts them from being compressed

A lot of people are wearing the wrong bra size because they don't get the right band size and in turn don't get the right cup size.

bra size meaning?

Q. can any one explain me the signicant of DD and cup size in bra
how can we know what is size of girls bra?

Answer
bra sizes are measured by the size of a womens breasts
but i think you already knew that

the number is the measurment of in ches right under the bust

and the letter is a cup size a cup size is measured by the differnce of the amount of inches between the bottom of her bust and the fullest part of her breasts

DD is the slighty above average for women
it goes
from AA-DD usually but they differ
it you still dont get it you can go to any teen magazine website and they'll probably have some kind of forum

maternity/nursing bras?

onearkansa

I am at a loss as to what size I need to buy. I am currently 25 weeks, and my regular bras still fit just fine. But I plan to breastfeed, and have no clue what size nursing bra to buy so that I am prepared ahead of time. My regular size is 38DD. Any body have any tips has to how to figure out what size I will need?

Answer
Do you have a motherhood maternity store around?
http://www.motherhood.com/Nursinghome.asp

Here is what I would do: buy what is called a "sleep bra" which is a soft cup sports-bra type nursing bra. They come in S-M-L-XL so there's a lot more leeway size wise.

http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?ViewSource=&Product_Id=975400360&category_Name=2+For+Deals&Category_Id=0360&MasterCategory_Id=MC29
http://www.motherhood.com/Nursinghome.asp

You could also try one of these in your size to have on hand, these are only $12

http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?ViewSource=&Product_Id=902510361&category_Name=Nursing+Bras&Category_Id=0361&MasterCategory_Id=MC29

GlamourMom Nursing Tanks are great too, and since it's S-M-L-XL you don't have to worry about cup size so much. You can buy them online at glamourmom.com but they are cheaper at motherhood maternity stores for some reason.

I would only buy any nice (ie expensive) nursing bras about 3-4 weeks after birth when you know what size you'll be. Otherwise it's a waste. You won't want to wear a real bra at first anyway, trust me.

Target also carries larger size nursing bras and nursing tanks

Bra Size Poll!!!!!?

Q. Do you think a C cup is small?????

Answer
Which band size? The bigger band, the bigger cup. A 28C bra cup is relatively small, but something like... 50C is fairly big.

Don't believe? Look at two DD cup bras comparison:

POLL: GUYS does bra size matter?

Q.

Answer
Yes, bra size/boob size really does matter. A woman has got to have at least a handful in order to be dateable and to be physically and sexually attractive. Anything less then a handful is just gross. Also, bigger is better, and huge breasts are ideal.

Bra questions please?

Tiffany

I just thirteen like a month ago, and my mom hasn't even thought about buying me a bra. When i change in the locker rooms, all the girls are wearing either trainer bras or bras. I had to go out a few months ago and buy myself a few bras because not only i, but my sisters also noticed that my boobs were getting bigger. I'm not exactly sure what my bra size is, but i know its a bit smaller than a 32A. Whats a possible bra size for me? Where are good shops for comfortable teen bras? And will my mom ever notice that she needs to buy me bras? I'm her first daughter, so im not sure if she knows how to react to how my body is changing.
I just turned thirteen*

thats what i meant. sorry.

Answer
well u can buy bras that are like the same shape as bras like older women wear but they arent padded. im 13 too and i have a padded bra and its 32A but to small and im to scared to ask for a new one cause its deff hard. you just gotta know u cant get in trouble its only in your head just supper scary. but yahh the training bra in the same shape as ours i had and it was pretty good but u can get like 34AA which is smaller then an A. yah its extremely embaracing bra shopping i went when i was 12 and my mom was in the change room too cause she had to make sure it "fit" me well and it was extremely embaracing but walmart is the best store for bras if your not that big. I suggest either asking her iff u can get a bra or go to the mall yourself or with a friend and buy one and make sure it fits and in the mean time just layer your clothes. haha yahh i talked alot and i just rambled on but yah i suggest you just go get one yourself. you can get a training bra in the shape of a real one or if your to big for a training bra and its just not cutting it go into the padded ones i though 32A would be to big but trust me its not that big at all and if it is try AA.good luck! xoxo

PLEASE help me

Bras????????

fran

ok, so just a month ago i was wearing a 34B bra size. It started to feel real uncomfortable during school, so i bought 34C cup bras. When i was wearing 34B bras my breasts were not spilling over the tops of the cups, it just felt really uncomfrotable. I measured myself and my breasts are about 37 inches and my band size is 30 inches which makes me a 34C. When i look at my breasts in the mirror they dont look like a C. They are not full but they do stick out. I read somewhere that girls with 34C cup sizes have breasts the size of grapefruits, and mine are definitly not that big. I am wearing 34C bras because they are comfortable but i know that when i look at my breasts in the mirror they do not look like they are that size. Do other girls/women feel that way? I am 16 and i got my period when i was 11. Could me breasts still grow?

Answer
The manufacturers have changed bra sizes. Just like a size 0 in jeans now was a size 6 just two years ago. I have always worn a 32 A-I bought some new bras and had to buy a 32 B same manufacturer as the older 32A's. They are making them smaller I've been an A since I was 14-now all of a sudden at age 55 I'm a B? I don't think you're going to get any larger unless you start hormone therapy or get pregnant or gain a lot of weight. Bring back my old size bra!!

Playtex.com and VictoriasSecrets.com both should have sites you can check out and a listing of stores in your area that carry those styles your looking for, or just go to the Mall in the nearest big city to you. Try putting that size in under a Goggle search and see what comes up? Those are colors that I love to see women in myself, bet you'd look great in them so good luck in your search.

I dont know how petit you are, do you measure 30 around underbust? or less?
I think Victorias Secret has got bras for petit woman too
they definately have bras for women who have 32 as underbust
they have quite good quality, all kinds of bra, some enhances the shape of breasts and helps it with sagging
if you can't find try Japanese bras, they have all sizes, various
a lot of women are measure 30 or less around their undersbust in Japan
size ranges AA~H but I think japanese size is half or one size smaller or maybe even one and half!
like B in Japanese brand is A in the states

Bras for petite women with not so small boobs?

K.

Okay so I'm a 32C, which is already hard enough to find... I'm 5', about 110 lbs, and I guess you could say I'm "small boned" I can only go to victoria's secret, cause I can't find my size anywhere else, and I'm paying $50 for a bra that still doesn't fit me right...
I have the straps all the way tightened, and it's still not tight enough so my boobs are kind of droopy, and because of that it feels like the cup is too big.. But if I wear a 32B then they're falling out all over the place, so I know I'm a C! I have to wear a tank top with a built in bra under whatever I'm wearing, so the top of the bra doesn't flip out and cause it kinda helps holding them up.. Even my boyfriend has noticed, and he's who suggested I get a custom fitted bra.
I'd like to find a place that would custom fit a bra for me, but without me having to pay a fortune to be comfortable... I'd love to find a place somewhere in Northern Utah so I don't have to order off the internet, cause I'd like someone to actually measure me and fit me IN PERSON so I know it's right, and so I'm not paying all that money for a bra that still doesn't fit....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah I can sometimes find 32C at Walmart and stuff but not often lol but I'll try 34 B and C and see if it helps :)
Oh and there's not really a gap between my bra and my boobs, I guess a better description would be to say that my boobs "fall down" I'm constantly pulling them up.. Idk it's really hard to describe lol but I'll try some 34's and see how they do..

I'm 5'2, 105 pounds, and also small boned. I wear a 34 C bra. Victoria's Secret is good for younger women (I'm 40, 2 kids...i.e. droopy boobs), but as you get older, or if your breasts are especially heavy; as C cups on your frame would be, you need a more well- constructed bra. Tiny women need petite bra's cut for a smaller frame. The straps are not as long, and the proportions suited to 5'3 and under, petite frames. Wacoal Petites, The Little Bra Company, and Calvin Klein Petites are very good petite lines. Lily of France bras are also excellent for small women with larger breasts. My personal favorites are Lily of France and Wacoal. The straps fit great, and the bras are pretty as well as very comfortable. The bras are not cheap; $40-60 each. But a good quality bra will last longer, and fit much better, than a cheap one. Before you buy, go to a Victoria's Secret store and get measured. TAKE THE TIME! You will be so glad you did. I was wearing 36 B's for years, and finally got measured and found out I'm a 34 C. The fit difference is amazing. My boobs are no longer falling out of the cups and my band and straps are comfy. Plus I look way better in my clothes. Good luck!

Answer
There were many bra like garments throughout the ages but the first true bra like the ones we wear today was invented and patented by Mary Phelps Jacob, a woman. She was a remarkable woman who led a remarkable life as an intellectual writer, poet, social activist, peace activist, and publisher. She helped many important 20th century authors get their first works published. The bra is only one of her many accomplishments. She was a rich socialite and for a party she had a new Paul Poiret dress brought in from Paris. Poiret was revolutionizing women's fashion by discarding the multitude of layers women wore. His dress for her consisted of layers of feather weight sheer organza made into a tunic and light, flowy harem pants under. The top was so light and sheer that every detail of her corset showed and she hated that. She couldn't go completely bare, it was 1910 after all, so she took some ribbon, a couple squares of fabric and sewed together a little bra to wear under the tunic. The bra was an absolute smash hit at the party. It was soft and comfortable and everyone wanted one. She quickly patented her bra and made them for friends and family. Once a woman tried the comfort and freedom she didn't want to go back to the corset.

Enter a business man named Warner who owned the Warner corset Company. He saw the writing on the wall. Between the new century, the new dresses, and a strong movement by doctors and women like Jacobs to ban unhealthy corsets, he approached Jacobs about her "contraption" as he called it. She sold it, and the rest, as they say, is history. The Warner's Corset Company became the Warner's Bra company and it is still in business.

In the 1920's a second bra was patented by the Maidenform company. Between these two makers the modern bra took its current shape. But the first true modern bra is most certainly the one patented by Mary Phelps Jacob.

Especially around the cups. I've tried Walmart, Warners, Penney's, haven't tried Victoria's because, well, with 2 kids and 3 dogs and a mortgage, I don't have the 40 bucks for a bra! Anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks!

Answer
You might get all the bras together and see what the label says they are made out of....you could be allergic to something in there.

Another thought is that it might be your laundry detergent....do you wash them separately in something other than what you do your normal clothes? Or perhaps because a bra is so snug against your skin the detergent is causing irritation when it might not affect you with loose fitting clothing.

This is what I would do:
Check the labels of the bras I have for a common bond - fabric or whatever.
Try washing them separately in something like Dreft with no fragrances or stuff
Go ahead, bite the bullet and try a better bra like from Victoria Secrets....those are the only bras I will wear and they have actually come down in price on some of them. Plus, they last longer than the cheaper ones I find so in the long run, it's the same $$$.
