I have a question about maternity bras?

Britt

So where is a good place to by one? Do they actually make bras that are just better for being pregnant or does it have to be a nursing bra? When do you make the switch? I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to be buying a bra soon and someone said something about a maternity bra. So that's why I'm curious. Thanks everyone. And good luck with all of your pregnancies!
Well my bra is just getting so small and I'm not really interested in a nursing bra because I'm only 11 weeks pregnant. So is there some kind of just pregnant bra that helps supports the girls without having the openings?

Answer
Basically a maternity bra is just a wireless bra. The idea is that it wont harm your mammary glands so that you'll be able to breast feed when the time comes. I have one but because I have a large chest I really can't wear it in public so I wear a regular bra during the day and the maternity bra at night. Personally I would get a comfy athletic bra for night and get a regular bra for the going out and what have you. I'm hesitant to buy nursing bras until the baby comes cuz I'm not quite sure how big these things are gonna get. Good luck

maternity bra??

Mrs. Giggl

So when did you half to go into a maternity bra? I have an underwire right now and it’s killing me but im not sure what to do cause I think I’ve gone up in size. I’m 18 weeks so should I just go up a size in regular bras or go to the maternity? Someone told me that underwire bras will mess up your milk glands?

Answer
If your breast are already swelling I would suggest going to a maternity bra. If your not sure what size go to a maternity store and their salespeople will size you. This is a good thing to do after the baby, too, if you are going to nurse. A too small bra is not only uncomfortable but it can mess up your milk development and flow.
You can still wear under wire though. Maternity bras come in all shapes and sizes just like regular bras. But, again, I would suggest being sized because wearing the wrong kind of under wire while pregnant and nursing can actually cause a bad infection. If it squeezes you in the wrong places it will clog your milk ducts and lead to an infection that can cause high fevers and ALOT of pain.
18 weeks is a tad too early maybe but, it wouldn't hurt to look into the pricing and sizing. I went up a size and was very uncomfortable. When I finally went to a store it turns out I was wearing a bra 3 sizes too small!!!
If your not ready for all that yet, try a sports bra. They are really comfortable and less likely to rub you when you begin to get sensitive.
And, finally, remember that if you want to nurse wearing the correct bra can be very, very important. If you do not want to a snug bra will do better as it will decrease milk flow and production and help you dry up quicker.
Hope this helps! Best luck and congratulations!!!

What's the best bra to lift and shape?

Q.

Answer
The Best bra brand for lift and shape and support is Panache Superbra. They do bras from a 28D to a 42KK. I personally am a 30K and i love the Ariza Full cup bra http://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/sensational-sets/panache/balconette-bras/pnk4-details.aspx?colour=cornflower&ck=GocqCBVFNsVw%2bfJThDXzfA%3d%3d

But in general if you want good shape, support and lift a full cup bra is best no matter what your size. If you are meaning lift and shape as in cleavage however then you want a moulded plunge bra that is in the right size. If you get a plunge bra in the wrong size you may have more cleavage from the front but from the side you'll look like a pancake

What size bras are out there i 've head of HH and A,B,C,D but not like GG of HH what are they?

Answer
There are two components to a bra size, a number and then a letter i.e 38D.

The letters stand for the cup size, or how far out from the chest wall the breast tissue grows. (how big the boobs are) They run from size AA (smallest) through to H (very large). There are bra sizes out there for even bigger boobs, but ive never heard of anything larger than J. You measure over the fullest part of the breast and around the back to find the cup measurement.

The number in a bra size is a measurement of your back. I.e a 28 inch measurement of your back taken from under the breasts will need a 28 numbered bra.

The ideal bra will be flush around the whole body and between the breasts, will fully encase the breasts with no bulges or gaps, offer good support, lifting the breasts and the back should not ride up.

What Breast (Bra) Size do you prefer?

Judy

What Breast (Bra) Size do you prefer

Answer
Ah, the bra. This icon of femininity is no longer simply a functional piece of clothing. The science of the bra has progressed incredibly, providing us with amazing support and exceptional comfort that comes in all shapes, sizes, fabrics, and fashions.

Today bra types range from the flashy to the functional, from supportive to sexy, from novelty to nursing. Some you are likely aware of. You might just end up a little more bra-savvy than when you started.

The "Classics"
>The training bra is designed for young girls whose breasts are just beginning to develop. It doesn't generally come with underwire support and is much smaller than regular cup sizes. It simply provides a small amount of support while girls get used to wearing a bra.
> The full-cup bra covers most of the breasts and is a practical, every-day bra. This bra is especially good for women with larger breasts, as it provides a lot of support and comfort.
> The demi-cup bra is a half-cup style and covers just over the nipples. It can be worn by all sizes of breasts and works well with shirts or dresses that have deeper necklines.
> The underwired bra has a wire that circles the bottom half of the breast. The wire provides support and helps to maintain the shape of the bra, but some women find underwire bras uncomfortable.
> The soft-cup bra is the alternative to underwire, and relies instead on a strong band for support. Many women prefer the comfort of the soft-cup bra.
> The strapless bra has no shoulder straps so it works well with shirts and dresses that reveal the shoulders.
> The racer-back bra uses a V shaped pattern for the shoulder straps in the back. The straps lie close to the neck, making it a better fit under certain shirts and dresses.

The "Functionals"
> The sports bra is specifically created for women who are physically active. They are supportive and comfortable even during the most rigorous exercise, as they fit snugly and hold the breasts in place.
> The maternity bra is adjustable as a woman's breasts change in size and weight throughout pregnancy. It expands to accommodate breast development and sensitivity.
> The nursing bra was created to make breast feeding easier.
> The mastectomy bra was designed for women who have had one or both breasts removed due to cancer. The bra has special cups to hold breast prostheses, providing the appearance of natural breasts.

The "Enhancers"
> The padded bra is a traditional bra with a little extra padding in the cup linings. This gives the appearance of slightly larger or fuller breasts.
> The push-up bra is designed for maximum cleavage enhancement.
> The minimizer bra is specifically for women with a very large bust - generally over 34C. The minimizer bra compresses and shapes the breasts, not only making the breasts appear smaller, but also providing greater comfort and support.
> The bridal bra is a corset that shapes the waist to fit into a wedding gown. This bra style promotes good posture and provides comfortable support for the breasts.

The "Novelties"
> The shelf bra is little more than a band that runs beneath the breasts, covering little to none of the breasts. This bra provides no support, and is more of a sexual clothing item.
> The peephole bra is also worn in sexual settings. While it does cover much of the breasts, the peephole bra features holes that expose the nipples.
> The cupless bra is a third erotic bra style. It is essentially a brassiere frame with no cups, which allows the nipples to be displayed prominently.
> The novelty bra is the final bra style that is more for show than function. Novelty bras are often part of a costume and are made of unique materials like shells or coconuts.

The "New Fangled"
> The convertible bra is a handy bra to have in your wardrobe, as the straps can be detached and rearranged to fit the style or cut of your outfit. Some convertible bras also come with transparent straps.
> The built-in bra comes sewn into the structure of a shirt or dress. They provide a measure of support - most often with an elastic band, but occasionally with a full underwire frame.
> The t-shirt bra is designed for invisibility. It is created without any raised seams so that when a woman wears a tight shirt, the garment sits smoothly without visible bra lines.
> The u-plunge bra is a clever creation that provides excellent support even while wearing a deep plunging neckline. .
> The adhesive bra uses no straps or bands, so it really doesn't provide support. It is meant to be worn with backless outfits. Some adhesive bras are made of paper, and are disposable after one use.

whats my bra size supposed to be?

tiafranche

im a teenager, i have my period, im about 5''1 and weigh 95.5 pounds. what would you assume my bra size to be?

Answer
Your bra size could be anything from a 28-56 band with AAA to KK cups and it would be perfectly normal. Based on your height and weight, however, I would assume that you would wear about a 28 band. Whatever your bra size is, is fine. Your bra size isn't "supposed to be" anything and isn't determined by your height and/or weight. My friend and I are both 5'4"; I weigh 115 and she weighs about 145. I wear a 28GG/H and she wears a 32C/30D (same cup volume as a 34B). Both are fine. My sister is 5'5", weighs about 110 and she wears a 28DD/E (same cup volume as a 34B/C). Your bra size depends on how large your breasts are and that doesn't depend on your height or largely your weight.

MEN! Do you like it when women moan during sex?

When did you buy maternity bras/bigger bras b/c of pregnancy?

jen

Mine are kinda getting small already now (only 12 weeks) but I don't want to get new bras now and then need to get more later! But if I should I will... What do you think?
I meant my regular bra is snug.

Thanks to all for the answers!

Answer
I bought a nursing bra in my third trimester when my normal bras were getting too small in the cup. If you're just too small around your chest and you're already on the last latch - you can invest in an extender for $2 at Joann Fabrics. Wait until you're pouring out the top to get your nursing bra - or sometime in the last couple months, that way you'll be sure it's big enough, as your breasts will get larger once you start nursing. Worst case scenario if you're already pouring out now....buy an inexpensive regular bra (Gillian O'Malley at Target) that is just a little larger. It may only last you four more months - when you'll likely be ready for a real nursing bra in a much larger size - but you can also use that bra again once you stop nursing. Your breasts may end up staying a little larger at least for a while.
Also - the Gillian O'Malley nursing bras are only $15 - so if you do go ahead and get one now...you'll at least not have to spend too much if it doesn't last that long.

What is the most accurate way to measure chest/bra size?

Brittiany

At Victoria's Secret I'm always measured at 32C but the cups are usually too small and my chest spills over. Is there a more accurate way to determine bra size or a similar band size with larger cups I should be using?

Answer
The most accurate way to measure chest/bra size is to try a bra on. Victoria's secret are horrible fitters and I would advise against listening to their advice. They generally don't stock any band sizes smaller than a 32 (and many women should be wearing a 30 or a 28 band!).

Measure your underbust - the part of your rib that is directly under your breasts. Do this while not wearing any clothes, and make sure the measuring tape is tight. What number do you get? If it's a 28, you should be wearing a 28 inch band, if it's a 30, a 30 inch band, etc. Do not add any numbers to this measurement (contrary to popular belief, one should not add 4 or 5 inches to get their band size - this is simply incorrect). Not all bras are the same though, so you won't be a 30 in every single bra. I measure around 30 inches and I'm usually a 28 actually and not a 30. It all depends on the bra and how it is made and it's always best to try it on.

If you have a slim figure, it's likely a 32 is too big in the band. What hook do you put your band on when you first get it? It should be very snug/tight on the LOOSEST hook when you first get it, and sit paralell across your back. It shouldn't ride up. If you can hook it on the tightest hook when you first get it, chances are it is way too big and you need to go down a band size or two. When you go down a band size, your cup size increases by 1 size.

Let's say, for the purpose of this, you measure 28 or 29 inches under your bust and needed to go down a band size or two.

32C = 30D = 28DD - these are all the same cup volume.

Now, if you are spilling over your cups quite a lot, you may need to increase your size by 2 cups, and not 1. That would make you a 32D if it's spilling out a little, or 32DD if it's spilling out a lot. If you find after what I've said that the band is too big, this would make you a:

30DD or E in the 30 band.
or
28E or F in the 28 band.

I hope this helps. If it's still a little confusing, please visit this link, which is very informative: http://www.theholyfit.com/#/getting_fitted/ It gives you an idea of what an incorrectly fitting bra looks like, and what a good fitting bra looks like. The girl in the video went into the fitting room wearing a 36C, but came out wearing a 30FF! It also shows you that these sizes aren't necessarily as huge as people perceive them to be.

What is my bra size????

Meow

At the moment I'm wearing 36 c by my cups are slightly too small.

I'm 36 inches around (over my chest and around my back), each individual boob is 11inches from the left of the boob to the right, and each individual boob is 20inches round. From the side of one boob to the other is 22 inches (over the boobs) and my back is 15inches.

So what is my bra size with these measurements? It will be very helpful to know so I can buy the right sized bra.

Also, am I big (don't have to answer this but information before is a must to answer)
Bust: 36inches
Under bust: 30inches

I'm in Australia

Thanks :)

Answer
Hey,

The two measurements we need to answer are around your body directly under your bust, and around your body over the fullest part of your bust.

Also need to know what country you're in since bras are measured different ways in different places, and it would be helpful to know how you find the fit of the 36C, both in terms of how you fit into the cups, and how the band fits around your body.

I know you put a lot of effort into providing measurements there so I'm sorry to have to say "don't know yet..." full marks for trying though! :)

EDITED TO ADD: Okay! Well, you don't mention that your band is too loose, but if you're only 30 inches around your body under your boobs a 36 band sounds way too big. You do say the cup is a little small, so I would suggest you try a 34D, that would seem the logical next move and would be your correct UK size. I think in Aus that's a 12D, but I may be wrong... I can't say I've bought many bras in Aus!

Unless you're miles from the nearest store do try them on before you buy - any measured size is only a guide, and there's no substitute for trying them on.

Oh, and I wouldn't say that's 'big', but it's certainly a good size - on the large side of medium - perfection in fact. Happy shopping! :)

What is the CORRECT way to measure my bra size?

Floss

I have looked on numerous websites for the correct way to size myself. The method where you measure your under bust and full bust (on Wiki for example) has told me I'm an F... and the method where you measure both of these plus an upper bust has told me I'm an A! I'm sitting very tightly in a D at the moment... so what's the deal???
i tried your method Kara S and it told me i'm an F....

then i tried rarabear21's method and it told me i'm a B....

this is what i mean haha!

Answer
Do NOT add 5 inches! I'm on the same forum as the girl who wrote the wiki; she makes corsets and knows what she's talking about. Ignore Lingerie Lady; her name is misleading.
Have you heard of Bravissimo? If not, they're a UK D+ bra specialist. Every fitter they have has been professionally trained and - most importantly - they don't use tape measures. This is what is written on their website:
So many people still consider a DD or E cup to be of glamour girl proportions, believing that a size like that could never be for them, and yet Bravissimo estimates that a 34E is the average UK bra size. We want to challenge any misconceptions that still linger about bigger boobs and how bra sizes can look.

And this is what they say about measuring:

Throw Away Your Tape Measures!
For many women, past experiences in trying to find the right bra size have meant hunting down a tape measure and measuring themselves - taking over and under bust measurements, adding or subtracting another number, working out the difference between two other numbers and then, hey presto, ending up with a bra size.

At Bravissimo, years of experience of working with you to find your perfectly fitting bra means we believe that tape measures don't help when it comes to finding a bra that fits properly. Every woman's boobs vary in volume, shape, size and spacing and these are all factors in getting the right size. The volume of your boobs may be more at the bottom, sides or top, and this will affect the size you need to ensure you look great and feel comfortable. If you take a number of women with identical over and under bust measurements, our experience shows the bras that actually fit them may all be different sizes.

However, if you really don't have a clue what size you are, and there's not a PROPER bra specialist near you, measuring might be a good idea - but only so you get a rough guide. Say your measurements suggest a 30E; try it on. If it's too loose in the band, go for a 28F, if it's too big in the cup, try a 30DD, and so on.
Don't be freaked your measurements suggest an F. Mine say I'm a 28F, and I wear 28E/F. If you do the usual 'add 5 inches', I'd be a 32C. I wore that size for years and now I can't believe I used to squeeze myself into it. Say everyone uses that technique; people are wearing a band too big and a cup too small. And if everyone got a proper fitting, the 'normal' sizing would go from 32-38 A-C, to 28-36 A-G, or whatever.
So - use the Wiki page. Here is the girl's website: http://www.belladonnaeyes.co.uk/menu_page.htm
If you look on the 'bra fitting' page, she explains, with great detail, the myths and problems with bra sizing and fitting.

Is a compression shirt healthier than a bra?

Kai L

I know some women wear compression shirts as a comfort thing, and I wondering about getting one for more purposes than just crossplay. Bras, for me, are a hassle. I'd rather not wear one, but then the boobies would get in the way.

Answer
Do whats comfortable. Bigger breasted women should wear a sports bra when participating in a sport rather than wearing a compression shirt. This is going to help with gravity in the long run. Otherwise it should be a comfort thing. For me I rather be and know that Im supported.

Is it alright to wear sports bras all the time? HELP?

whatever

I am a B cup and I find that sports bras are more comfortable than normal bras....I wear the compression type. However, would wearing sports bras all the time cause sagging? Are underwire or pushup bras the only supportive kind of bras?

Answer
Sports bras are for sports so unless you are playing basketball or running 24/7 I would suggest you go to a place like Victoria's Secret and get some help with being fitted for a bra that will offer support. You don't want your boobs smashed flat all the time or they will become saggy. I know sports bras are more comfortable but you can get used to underwire or push up bras. I know a lot of younger girls start out wearing sports bras but really it's a bad habit to get into. Good luck. :)

training bras....8th grade?

just a gir

im going to 8th grade in a few days and i just started wearing training bras. when i went shopping i told my mom i needed bras and she got me training bras. im a size 36a. she wont let me wear cupped bras because she says they are for older women and they have underwires and show cleavage. should i be able to wear cupped bras?

Answer
Cup bras dont show clevage, what kind of shirt you wear does.

Tell your mom you need one and that girls your cup size wear them.
Tell her that you will be changing for PE and you rather not be made fun of because you wear a training bra like a small child.

I don't think the push up bra method is good enough for me. I am a male swimmer who crossdresses... so I have a pretty toned body, so there isn't much fat in my chest area.

How can a woman still stay curvy and plus size but still lose weight?

Lady Misfi

How can I lose weight but be curvy (not fat)?

What's the difference between curvy/plus size and fat?

Answer
Plus Size Women normally have extra weight or bulge in the irrelevant spaces. If they reduce them either by proper diet, doing proper exercise, going to gym and wearing proper shaping and uplift bra and panties. Wearing Shaping Bras or Uplift Bras would help in keeping your assets in the Plus Size at the same time Curvy. You need to shed the extra weight at the unwanted areas.

Do men really like curvy women?

Breanna La

Im 5 ft 5, and weigh about 135 lbs.. my jean size is between a 7 and 9, and my bra is a 36D... A lot of my friends are jealous and say they wish they looked like me cause i have hips and a butt for a white girl, but im jealous of them because theyre really skinny and tall, whereas im 'curvier' and 'short'. i dont know my waist size; ive never measured it... but what im pretty much asking is do guys really prefer curvier girls, and why?

Answer
You should definitely NOT be jealous. I'm a guy and i would much prefer a woman with curves. Its more attractive to most guys. Height shouldn't really matter unless your gargantuan or extremely small. Anyways guys prefer curvier girls because they're just more attractive. Most guys like bigger butts and breasts then a skinny body. Hope this was what you were looking for.

How do you tell a girls cup size?

Robert

I've always wondered this? But never knew how they actually measure? Can someone help ?

Answer
The correct way is to measure the bust and subtract from the underbust to get the cup. Underbust is the band, give or take. This gives the best starting point for finding the most supportive bra.

Example
30" underbust
38" bust
8" difference is an FF so 30FF. Each cup is an inch so A/B/C/D/DD/E/F/FF/G/etc. AA is less than an inch.

HOWEVER, many places don't sell this size but instead of telling the girl the truth they use weird measuring methods to force the girl into their size range. It's very common to add 4 or 5 inches to the band and then subtract from there. So under the "adding inches" method a woman with a 30" bust would be considered 34" and the difference is now 4" which is a D so 34D.

This is why people think D cups are big. A *30FF* is forced into a 34D even though it's completely the wrong size for her. True D cups are not big.

How can you tell you are inbetween two cup sizes?

Byte-Sized

I'm wondering if I am a BC cup, but have not been able to find any sites with information I want. I've only found sites that tell you if you are an A, B, C, and so on, but nothing on inbetween measurements. If anyone knows of a site, that could help as well, or if you know how to tell, that's good. Thanks.

Answer
I also think it was Playtex that was advertising half sizes. Try Victoria Secrets. When you go in a Victoria Secrets store there is someone in there that will measure your breast for you and they'll let you know what would be a better fit.

Plus Size Fashion Tips?

widdle_nes

My Friend whos a size 22 has asked me to help her with her fashion sense, i'm usually good with giving advice and putting together outfits, but when it comes to plus sizes i'm not to sure whats looks good and whats a no go zone.
Just some more info on her, she is very tall, blonde hair and carries most of her weight around her stomach and hips.

Any advice would be nice THANK YOU!

Answer
Think of your friend as yourself choose things that's similar to what you wear or what you know is IN, just nothing that has the stomach showing or arms some poeple find that in bad taste for plus size women....and if you DO find a nice plus size top that is sleeveless, tube, or spaghetti strap match that with a nice bolero to cover the arms but not make her hot since it's almost summer. go to http://www.torrid.com and check out the diff types of clothing they have online and you'll get the feel of what goes and what doesnt for plus size women. also shorts r sorta a no go for plus size women but if she has the legs for it...it's totally ok. If she's a BOLD type of OUT OF THE BOX dresser try pairing those shorts with a cute pair of leggings or SPANX...now this doesnt work for all shorts so you'll have to endure a bit of trial and error in matching some cute shorts with the leggings or spanx. You two should go to a mall that has a plus size store in it...mimic the styles that they have the mannequins wearing!

*Edit* Torrid sells TALL plus size womens clothes

Forever21 has a plus-size section, although it is fairly limited and F21 clothes are cheap in general. Aside from there, you could try department stores like Macy's, JCP, Sear's, etc; or, stores like Target.

Personally, I loove ASOS, and they also have a huge plus-size selection! They're UK-based, so keep in mind size conversions, but shipping is free in the states. Seriously, their clothes are super cute :).

Your best bet would be to look up stylish plus-size blogs! Plus-size fashion bloggers would probably have great recommendations for wear to buy cute clothes.

2 strapless bras (one nude one black)
6 underwire bras (though i do have 2 favourites)

Opinion on bra size..?

SHAYNA

Female aged 16.
I'm pretty thin (I have a fast metabolism)
My height is 5''5.

My bra size is pretty unusual for that type of body but it is 30DD.
I'm unsure if this is big or small for my age/size.
What do you think? I normally get called flat chested.

Answer
Bra sizes don't go by age.

Your breasts sound proportional. It only SOUNDS big because majority of people don't know how bra sizes work. A properly measured DD cup is not big at all, especially on small band sizes.

30DD: http://www.brabandproject.com/gallery/search?band=30&cup=DD&age=&brand=&sister_sizes=0&search=Search

If you're bigger than that, you're in the wrong bra size.

Bra size and fit help?

cloe

I've been round about a 36B in bra size for the past three years (I'm almost seventeen), during which time I have grown two inches in height and forty pounds. However, I've recently lost about 12 pounds and a couple inches across my body, and I'm reconsidering what bra size I am.

Not too long ago, I had a rib cage measurement of almost 33 inches and a bust measurement of almost 38 inches (I think; I measured myself and didn't write it down anywhere). Now, I have a rib cage measurement of 31.5 inches and a bust measurement of 37.5 inches (self-measured, again).

At one time, 36B bras fit me perfectly, but as I've gained and lost weight, my bras have become more or less comfortable. I'm considering whether I'm now a 34C.

Bra size calculators tell me that with my current measurements, I'm still a 36B. But I have some fit issues: 1)With my bra hooked on the loosest setting (which is how I usually wear it), my bra tends to ride up. Should I hook it tighter? 2)The cup of my bra fits a bit weird. It's kind of like a tent, as in the round tip of the cup doesn't touch my nipple, the cup kind of pushes against the sides of my breasts near my ribcage, and the band connecting the cups in the front doesn't touch my skin. It doesn't feel like they quite fit or support well.

Please don't just say "have a professional measure you." I'm underage, so I don't know how that would work. What is your personal experience with bra fit? Should the cup fit like memory foam, touching every surface like it was custom made? Have you ever used a bra size calculator and found it to be wrong?

Answer
Bra size calculators are wrong a lot. They sometimes get the cup size right, but the band size completely wrong. According to calculators I'm a 32A, even though a 34B is a bit small on me.

Some fitting tips:
-The middle part between the cups should be touching the middle of your chest completely.

-The band should be pretty tight even on the smallest hook, It shouldn't be suffocating you, but you shouldn't be able to pull it more than around an inch away from your back. Try to get it as small as you can without suffocating. There's bigger hooks so that when the band starts to wear out, you can just use those. When you wear them the first time, it should be on the smallest hooks. I think you could possibly fit a 32 band at the lowest, so try that. Bra calculators may tell you you're a 36 band, but still give 32 a try, you might be surprised to find that it fits.

-The cups should fit completely around the breasts and be touching every part. If it's like a tent, then it might mean the bra cups aren't wide enough and big enough.

Just keep trying on bras until you get one that fits PERFECTLY. It may be a weird size that you think is too big, like a 32D, but when you go down a band, you usually go up a cup, and seeing as your cup may already be too small, you could probably fit a 32D or 32DD. D's aren't always HUMONGOUS, when they get lower in band sizes the cup downsizes as well. A lot of people are wearing the wrong bra size because they don't get the right band size and in turn don't get the right cup size.

What's a good way to learn streetball dribbling moves?

john b

Should I just watch them play and then practice or what?

Answer
I can only tell you how I did it, obviously. When Iverson first came out all I did was watch the same footage over and over and replicated his movements without the ball while I watched it in slow motion. The moves work the best when you don't think about them. Learn the rhythm and placement of everything, the opposing player, the ball-handlers feet, the distance between the two. I never had my own court so a buddy and I would practice crossing each other up and down the whole parking lot, in a zig-zag pattern. If you are really serious you can get the moves. I would suggest that you start with the fundamentals suggested by another person below. Look at youtube clips (wish I had these when I was younger...anyway) of Tim Hardaway, Isaiah Thomas, Pistol Pete Miravich and then go on to Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Byron Davis, and then to the And 1 players. But please understand that the And 1 players do a bunch of illegal crossovers. Especially hot sauce, his best mixtape was probably his first Mixtape volume 3. Remember to keep your head up, no move can make up for missing the open player right under the basket (remember you're trying to win ultimately, not just embarass the opposing team). I got more to help you out but I'll stop here...after this last point. Please don't waste a bunch of time with air alert, jump soles and all the other crap at the end of slam magazines (I love slam, don't get me wrong) but that stuff will only divert your energy from the important stuff. If you want to weight train ask if you can join the football team so you can do it properly. There are also some great clips of MJ teaching the fundamentals on YouTube, plz learn this stuff as well...ok that's it have fun, you got a lot to work on......Oh play basketball every chance you get especially in front of a crowd. Like AAU...ok I'm done...

Are Aerie (American Eagle) bras comfortable/ Nordstrom bras?

ana c

I am going bra shopping before school starts this fall and I was curious if the Aerie bras from American Eagle are comfortable? I went shopping with a friend, and I saw some and they looked cute, but how comfy are they?

Also, I'm going into 7th grade this year and I think I'm like a 32 or 34A or B or something and so would Nordstrom bras in the lingerie/ women's active section be good for me? For some reason my mom still thinks I should be wearing training bras, which I shouldn't (I need a cup bra). How do I convince her I need a cup also?

Finally, during the process of REAL bra shopping, like cup bras, what should I expect to happen? Like what do the people say? And is it ok for me to get bra fitted at Nordstrom?! Thanks for answering my questions! :)

Answer
Oh my fuck, Aerie/Nordstrom bras are the most comfortable things ever known to mankind. I went bra shopping there last week for new bras for 8th grade.

When I was going to seventh grade, the way I got my mom to let me get cupped-bras were that I picked out training bras that were way too thin/small and when I turned around in the dressing room, my mom was like: yeah.. we need to get you real bras.

You should have no problem with getting fitted for a bra. I was at Victoria's Secret and all they did was measure me, totally professional about it.

BTW, my favorite Aerie bra are the Hannah/Audrey bras.

Ella gel or Emma aerie bra?

Massie

I'm a 32b and I like the Emma and the Ella gel but I'm afraid the Emma will be too noticable. I heard that you can take out the pushup inserts in the Emma and I think you can do the same with the Ella gel, which would be really great just incase it IS too much. Let me know about that part and which one is best for my size

Answer
I work at Aerie! Ella Gel doesnt have removable inserts because her pads are gel! Hence, Ella Gel! If you like Emma, I would also try Brooke! Shes my favorite, she doesnt have too much padding, so its not a big difference but she just lifts you up a bit more! Scarlet is our new girl, she has adjustable cleavage snaps in the front, and removable inserts! So, if you wanted something with the removable inserts, I would suggest Scarlet. Shes my other favorite! Just go in the store and ask to try these on and see which best suits you! I really recommend Scarlet!

what is a nursing bra?

peterthepa

I am 17 weeks pregnant and my bras are getting tight and I don't know what type of bra I should get I saw online what is called a nursing bra is that only for when you breast feed? or is that to support your breast during pregnancy? but what type of bra should I buy? and my bras are a 34 B so what size should I move up to?

Answer
Nursing bras are just for breast feeding. If your bra is getting tight, you should move up a size in regular bras. I would suggest you just get measured by a proper fitting specialist. You can get measured at JC Penney, Nordstrom, or Victoria's Secret for sure. Even if you're measured at one of the stores, you don't have to buy a bra from there if you don't find a good one. Don't feel bad about leaving with nothing. But do find a good one in the right size. Maybe a 34 C

Do you NEED nursing bras?

tinabinas1

To all mothers that have nursed their babies, did you actually need to buy nursing bras? Just wondering. I have been to the stores and can't find anything that I like! Should I spend money on a nursing bra?

Answer
I used my nursing bras the first month or so while I was learning to breast feed and adjusting to it, but then I went to normal bras...then I went back to my nursing bras...yeah they're ugly, but they are made for breasts to 'grow' and 'shrink' because your breasts won't always be full (like after a feeding they're not as full/large)...I found that in my normal bras I'd get more engorged (later I found out that bras with underwire can cause clogged milk ducts which leads to engorgement and not very comfy)....My son is 13 months and still nursing but now I wear my normal bras and just lift the cups up 1/2 way over my breasts when he nurses....but I'd say buy yourself a nurisng bra or 2...I actually liked these cheap ugly pink packaged ones from walmart best. Once you've got breastfeeding down you'll know what kind of bra you prefer. Best of luck and congrats on breastfeeding!

Fastest way from O'hare area to Wrigley field?

Stu

What is the fastest way (cab? train? other?) to get from O'hare airport area to Wrigley field on a Tuesday around 6pm? How long would this method take? Thanks!

Answer
The problem is getting from the train to the park. During the hours hours before the game, Addison is an absolute nightmare. It is only one lane in each direction and everybody who doesn't know any better is using it, plus you are at the tail end of the rush hour.

Do not get off at Addison. Get off at Irving Park Rd, the stop just before Addison. Irving Park is two lanes in each direction and gets less Cubs traffic. Take the 80 Irving Park bus east to Sheridan/Sheffield (it's Sheridan north of Irving Park and Sheffield south of Irving Park) and walk three blocks south on Sheffield to Wrigley Field.

And I am not convinced that taking the train is the fastest way. You will be going at the end of rush hour so a taxi will probably get you there faster. Hopefully the taxi driver will know better than to take Addison. Taking a taxi also eliminates the time it takes to wait for the next bus/train, the time it takes to walk down to the train station and then from the train to the bus stop. And a taxi is going to run on the same street as the bus without having to stop every two blocks along the way.

A taxi is going to be a LOT more expensive. But if time, not money, is your concern, go with the taxi.

What is a fast and easy way o train in Pokemon Platinum?

sf25

This is my team:

Floatzel-Lv.34

Houndoom-Lv.32

Luxray-Lv.32

Staraptor-Lv.34

Toterra-Lv.33

I just got on Route 210 and am on my way to Celestic Town, I feel that my pokemon are weak and want/need badly to train them, please help me!!!

Answer
Well you could use rare candy (but you can't buy it so use it wisely)

You could leave your pokemon at the daycare centre but I recommend you don't because they delete some of the moves and teach your pokemon crappy moves (unless you have a way of getting back the tm or hm your pokemon use to know).

Put the Exp. share on the weakest pokemon you have (or any pokemon you just want level up faster). Go to really strong trainers and use the vs seeker. After you've fought all the the strong trainers go to the grass and fight pokemon. After a while (over half and hour) go back to the strong trainers and use the vs seeker again.

If you know anyone else with a ds (like a friend or someone in your family) that has pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Ask them if you can trade pokemon, if they say yes trade the pokemon you want to level up faster back and forth everytime
you trade a pokemon, their normal ammount of experience bar will be shorter, making it easier to level up!

Hope this helped

msjanet181

I don't think my bra is fitting right. It is slightly rising at the bottom and doesn't completely cover the top of my breast. Where could I get fitted at the mall? Would department stores fit girls for bras?

Answer
Marks and Spencer is where I got fitted for a bra, they are very accurate :)

Bra Fit At Victoria's Secret?

Applestar

so i was thinking about getting a bra fit at Victoria's Secret. Just want to know if it costs anything and what they actually do. (i wanna know what im in for) Answers from people who hav actually been to victoria's secret and had a bra fit would be preferred but anyone else who has had a fitting before and could tell me a few things would be nice. :) thanks everyone

Answer
bra fittings are free. personally I would go elsewhere to get fitted. I have been sized there a number of times and always for the wrong size.

they measured me while standing inthe middle of the bra section, not in a dressing room, over my clothing and bra. they then sent me to a dressing room with this box of different bras in the size they measured me to try on. Basically to find out what style I liked best. That's it.

i don't believe they are the most accurate place to be sized. I was told that I was a 38D back when they still had the Body By Victoria Ipex bras about 4 - 5 years ago. I bought three very expensive ($50+) bras. And within 3 - 5 months, the wires poked out. This is generally a sign that the bra is either has too big of a band size and/or too small of a cup size. i went down a band and up a cup size to a 36DD per a fitting nordstrom's. I have never had the issue again.

victorias secret incredible bra review?

POLL: GUYS does bra size matter?

Q.

Answer
Yes, bra size/boob size really does matter. A woman has got to have at least a handful in order to be dateable and to be physically and sexually attractive. Anything less then a handful is just gross. Also, bigger is better, and huge breasts are ideal.
