Silicone bra storage?

:)

I just got one of those sticky bra thingys but I don't know how to store them without sticking to everything which might remove the overall stickiness?

Answer
I have one of those, and I wrap it first in wax paper, covering it with plastic wrap. :D Keep it in a really cool area, also.

Good bra organizer/storage method?

Justine

Right now I've got them in a drawer but I really don't like this. Takes up too much space and it's too hard to find the one I want. Anyone have recommendations on a better way to keep them? I don't have a lot of closet storage left, so something compact is a must.

Answer
I have a 6 hook coat hanger that is just inside my closet door and I hang my bras there. I love it, they are easy to find and don't get bent up. The only ones I can't hang are my strapless ones. You can also get these coat hangers that just hang on the back of the door.

where to find plus sized maternity tops and bigger nursing bras?

sarah beth

my cousin and i were shopping all day. her baby shower is in 2 weeks and she has nothing cute to wear. She has always been a sweat pants and nikes kinda girl so up until now maternity clothes werent an issue.. We tried going up a size or two in plus but they didnt seem long enough for the belly.. Also where can you find plus size nursing bras? any web sites?! she is disgusted and im exhausted.. lol please help us. thanks!
i was thinking about buying a bra in her size now and being creative and sewing it into a nursing bra.. then when she has the baby if she needs a bigger bra i'll know how to fix it up and she will be set when she gets home.. and we are trying motherhood online now.. thanks!

Answer
Honestly, I've been looking for plus sized maternity bras and have been told by 6 maternity stores that I'd have to buy custom made ones for about $150-$200 each. If your friend is any bigger than DD before pregnancy then she may have to go this route as well. I'm just going to use my normal bras. Women did it for years before maternity bras were invented so I figure I can figure it out. lol

Where can I buy punky plus sized(36/38DD) bras?

Roatha C

I'm looking to buy some lingerie for my wife. She's well endowed and finding bras is usually a difficult task, especially if she's looking for something that looks nice. Anyone know where to find some cute punkish bras in 36dd-38dd? Kind of like the styles you see at Hot Topic etc.

Answer
No sure what you mean by 'punkish bra' but i presume you mean designs with a bit of flair.
I would try Marlies Dekkers (she's a amazing dutch designer)
Playful Promises (they're UK based, ship to the US and are having a up to 70% off sale right now)
Also try bare necessities website, they have an amazing selection from brands like Simone Perele, Harlequin. Elle Macpherson
Myla US is currently having a 70% off sale (prices from $18.00)
The figleaves website has also a good selection of nice bras in those sizes

Ladies: Favorite Victoria Secret bra line?

Q. I'm a 36 D and I swear by the ipex line-- the most comfortable :)

Answer
Very Sexy Push Up and the Angels Secret Embrace. I'm a 32B and they really help give me that oomph I need with some of my tops plus they are very comfortable. The Ipex line is a great line as well and I love the shaping demi ipex bra.
Victoria's Secret carries the best quality of bras anwhere. If you handwash your bras they will last for a long, long time. I have a few bras from there that are 2 years old and still in great shape. I also have had other bras from walmart that were bent all up within 2 months. VS is an amazing, awesome store.

Which Victorias secret bras?

ski.racer1

I am currently ordering some bras online from VS and was looking for your advice! I am going to get their 2-40$ wear everywhere bras but I'm stuck on which ones to get. I am stuck between just getting two of the wear everywhere demi bras or one of the demi's and one of the where everywhere push ups. So what about the push ups? Is it worth it? is the push up subtle or completely over the top? Is it comfy? and does it wear out completely?

Okay and also, just for fun, what is your favorite VS bras and/or pantie style?? :)

Thanks!

Answer
the wear everywhere bras are pretty cheaply-made. they're nothing compared to the comfort and durability of the other bras.

go with 1 push up and 1 demi. however, it's not really smart to order bras online unless you KNOW you wear that specific size in that specific style. especially when it comes to the PINK bras, because since the PINK brand is aimed towards college aged girls, the cut and fit of the bras are going to be a little bit smaller.

push up degree is just right for everyday.

my favorite bra is the Incredible demi and the Incredible Push Up. it's the most comfortable thing you will ever put on your body. it doesn't even feel like its there. i'm in love with it.

my favorite panty style is the sexy little things V string. it's a one size fits all so it's super easy to shop for, plus they're extremely comfortable. i am addicted to them.

Bra Fit At Victoria's Secret?

Applestar

so i was thinking about getting a bra fit at Victoria's Secret. Just want to know if it costs anything and what they actually do. (i wanna know what im in for) Answers from people who hav actually been to victoria's secret and had a bra fit would be preferred but anyone else who has had a fitting before and could tell me a few things would be nice. :) thanks everyone

Answer
bra fittings are free. personally I would go elsewhere to get fitted. I have been sized there a number of times and always for the wrong size.

they measured me while standing inthe middle of the bra section, not in a dressing room, over my clothing and bra. they then sent me to a dressing room with this box of different bras in the size they measured me to try on. Basically to find out what style I liked best. That's it.

i don't believe they are the most accurate place to be sized. I was told that I was a 38D back when they still had the Body By Victoria Ipex bras about 4 - 5 years ago. I bought three very expensive ($50+) bras. And within 3 - 5 months, the wires poked out. This is generally a sign that the bra is either has too big of a band size and/or too small of a cup size. i went down a band and up a cup size to a 36DD per a fitting nordstrom's. I have never had the issue again.

Well known Bra fitting places?

Sum Girl

I'm looking for suggestions on places to go to get a bra fitting. I'm a big girl (i wear larges and size 12 pants) and My boobs are kinda big too (partially from genetics and partially from being fat but that's beside the point)
I don't think the current bra size or type I'm wearing is suitable for me because I always feel like my boobs are sagging just because the bra's I wear aren't fitting correctly.

I know I can go to Victoria's Secret but are there any other places that you can suggest? I live in close to Indianapolis, IN - if that helps anyone with local places but any well known retail stores helps too. Thanks in advance!

Answer
Most people on here are gonna tell you to go to Macy's, Nordstrom, Walmart , Target, Victoria Secrets, La Senzia, J.C Penny's and the like. most of the places are just not helpful. Either they don't offer larger cup size smaller band or lager bands, or they don't really fit you properly. I'm not sure where you live but you should try Intimacy. I would say even if you lived like 2 states over from on it was a trek go get fitted properly. Even if you can afford their bras you can then buy online and get the bras you need. I like Intimacy because they do try to fit you. But they also try to push their customers in to buying bras that are 100-150 bucks. They do have cheaper bras but you will have to ask to see the drawer and search yourself to get one.

The great thing about Intimacy is other than the fit they will fix the bras that you bought that break. How many times have you busted underwire or been in between sizes. They will fix you bra for free you just pay the shipping and handling which is 8 Bucks. If it busts they will felt it. If you need something about the bra reworked they will fix it. And one time did get a larger bra in the band and smaller in the cup just because they ran out of my size. when the underwire broke twice they gave me a store credit on the spot no wining or complaining.

You can look at the pdf to find other stores that fit like intamcy fits, that are near you.

Once you get fitted if your a D or DD plus you can get bras online. Some of them are quite nice.

Good luck.

Help with getting less cheap bras?

Emily Cone

my mom bought me bras at tjmaxx (im 32a btw)
for $4 a pack of 2. i am flat, but not flat enough to have bras that cheap. they are horrible and wicked uncomfortable. i have a gift card to aerie that i would use to buy my own bra and 10$ off an PINK bra. for some reason she thinks all the bras at those stores make me look like i have big boobs, which not all of them do. she doeznt care if they are uncomfortable and i even had to purposely rip them but she doesnt budge. help!

Answer
I'm not entirely sure why your mother is worried about you wearing something that makes you *look* like you have bigger breasts?

An ill fitting bra is a plague. There is nothing good about it regardless of how cheap it may be. There's nothing wrong with the bras from TJMaxx, they're still name brand and whatnot, but if they don't fit, they don't fit.

Before I needed underwire, I found that the VS "soft cup" bras were really good. I'm old enough to have a daughter and I can tell you, if she made a valid argument about *why* something was uncomfortable and offered up gift certs/promotional discounts to buy from VS or aerie, I would be ok with it. I'm a little young to have a daughter who *needed* a bra, but I'm just telling you how to appeal to her.

Where can I find cheap comfortable bras?

Christine

Ok I don't need any lingerie type or lots of lace. Just comfy, daily wear bras in simple colors like black, grey, white, or striped or stuff like that. Solid colors are fine too. Aerie and Victoria's Secret have lots of cute bras but they're 20 dollars, I just don't think bras are worth that much.....
So where can I find cheap comfortable bras? Thanks!

Answer
It's really hard to find comfortable bras under $20 unless you get lucky and it's on clearance in your size. The Gilligan & O'Malley lace gel bras (currently on sale for $18 at Target) are my favorites, and I highly recommend them. They're especially good if you have a small cup size, but the larger ones are also very comfortable, just with less padding. The material on the inside of the cups feels great!

I've had 2 of them for about 4 months, and they show no signs of wear at all.

maternity bra??

Mrs. Giggl

So when did you half to go into a maternity bra? I have an underwire right now and itâs killing me but im not sure what to do cause I think Iâve gone up in size. Iâm 18 weeks so should I just go up a size in regular bras or go to the maternity? Someone told me that underwire bras will mess up your milk glands?

Answer
If your breast are already swelling I would suggest going to a maternity bra. If your not sure what size go to a maternity store and their salespeople will size you. This is a good thing to do after the baby, too, if you are going to nurse. A too small bra is not only uncomfortable but it can mess up your milk development and flow.
You can still wear under wire though. Maternity bras come in all shapes and sizes just like regular bras. But, again, I would suggest being sized because wearing the wrong kind of under wire while pregnant and nursing can actually cause a bad infection. If it squeezes you in the wrong places it will clog your milk ducts and lead to an infection that can cause high fevers and ALOT of pain.
18 weeks is a tad too early maybe but, it wouldn't hurt to look into the pricing and sizing. I went up a size and was very uncomfortable. When I finally went to a store it turns out I was wearing a bra 3 sizes too small!!!
If your not ready for all that yet, try a sports bra. They are really comfortable and less likely to rub you when you begin to get sensitive.
And, finally, remember that if you want to nurse wearing the correct bra can be very, very important. If you do not want to a snug bra will do better as it will decrease milk flow and production and help you dry up quicker.
Hope this helps! Best luck and congratulations!!!

Maternity Bras?

Q. I'm 22 weeks pregnant, and am just now out growing my pre-pregnancy bras.

Just wondering what my best bra choice would be. Should I get nursing bras (I plan to nurse) already? Should I stick with normal bras just a size bigger? Is there any such thing as a maternity bra?

Thanks :)

Answer
I had a maternity bra that I slept in...It was like a sports bra, but with lighter fabric, and you could move the panels aside after the baby was born to nurse. I wouldn't buy anything just yet...I would purchase a cheapie, supportive bra at wal-mart in your size now, and wait and see if you go up another size. After the baby is born, your milk will come in and your boobs will gain another cup size at least. So hold off on buying the nursing bras until after the baby is born, since you can't return them and they're pretty expensive. Good luck and congrats!
