sparkly bra?

avery

i watched the premiere of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila 2 the other day, and in the beginning, she has a really sparkly bra. does anyone know where i can get one?

Answer
yep, making it qould prob be the best way to go about it. just go to a craft stroe and pick out all the jewels and use a fabric glue to put them on. or theres this other kind its a one step stud system called "GeMagic" which you can also get at craft stores to put them on and they come in allll different colors and sizes. Its like $8 for a larger pack of just the studs or like $28 for the studs and the applicator.

whats the difference between a breast lift and getting implants?

I asked aquestion a while ago on here about breast lifts and i u should wai until after u have kids because it affects the mammary ducts and they said sumthing about the implant settling when u get a brast lift so Im confused

Answer
A breast lift is where they cut circle around the nipple, then go straight down below that then curce a cut line under the breast itself. they then remove extra skin tighening it and replacing the nipple higher up centered and perky. Implants they only make a small incision and slide the implant in and you keep the shape of your breast. so if your nipples are pointing down just getting implants wont correct that. Ive had a lift with implants under the muscle and have had them over 5 years and love them love love love my girls. Im a 32 G and had a complete lower body lift all from loseing weight from gastric bypass. 240 to 89 now 120 and sexy as hell at 40!! enjoy life. love your body and do what makes you happy!

How do bra sizes work?

Can somebody explain to me how bra sizes work? Like double d? What does this mean? What is an average size? What is your size ladies? Is that big?

Answer
Bra sizes consist of a number, i.e. 32 and a cup size, i.e. D.

The number refers to the length of the band, which is typically the ribcage measurement (perhaps with a couple of inches added for comfort). For example a female with a 29-31 inch ribcage might wear a 32 band.

Then letter is the ratio of cup size to band length....cup sizes are not definitive, they vary in volume depending on the band size they are coupled with. For example, a 32D is smaller on the band AND cup than a 36D....in fact a 36D has the same cup volume as a 32E and a 32D has the same cup volume as a 36B.

I know it's a bit complicated but that's the way bra sizing works. Hope this helps you understand a bit better.

Are Victoria's secret bra sizes accurate?

Michelle M

So I went to get a fitting and they told me that I was a 32D but that seems way to big for me. I still fit into my 34 A bra that I bought from Victorias secret although I'm spilling out. Also can someone please tell me the formula to figure out bra size?

Answer
If they told you your bra size is wrong then it is definitely wrong because they add four to five inches to the band measurement to tell you your bra size. Bra materials stretch now so adding anything to the band measurement makes it in accurate. You need to get bigger cups because you could be constricting your breasts far too much... and always fit your bra to your bigger breast.

When the breast tissue is constricted or it is not supported then the tissue migrates, when you find your right bra size the tissue will slowly return to normal as long as you don't sleep in your bra and you keep up with the scooping method, you will most likely have to change your bra size multiple times in a year as the tissue becomes concentrated in one area again, you will probably have to continue going down band sizes and up cup sizes, fair warning but it is so worth it because it makes you feel great when you look in the mirror and everything is where it should be.

Every woman's body is different so there is no one bra that will fit you the best.

First verify your bra size, if you don't know your measurements then here is how to take them:
find a soft tape measure in inches
take off everything and stand up
use a mirror and stand sideways to it so you can see your profile
measure directly below the bust around the rib cage with the tape measure parallel to the floor make sure that the tape measure is tight but not pinching your skin
this is your band size, don't add anything to it or take anything away, if it is a 38 you are a 38 if it is a 37 I would try a 36 first but you may be a 38, if it is a 36 you are a 36, anything in decimal form then round down, trust me on that one, bra materials stretch a lot
Now write down your band size
for the cup size lean forward so that all of your breast tissue is to the front of your body
measure the same way as for the band with the tape measure parallel to the floor if you stand up but make sure you do this leaning over and measure it across the part of your breasts that 'hang' down the farthest when you are leaning over
while still leaning over record this measurement, it should not be tight, in fact it should be loose just resting the tape measure on your tissue and not compressing it anywhere
this is your bust circumference. Subtract your band size from this number
the number you just calculated is your cup size for that band size, round normally to the closest whole number. one inch difference is A, 2-B, 3-C, 4-D, 5-DD, 6-E, 7-F, 8-FF, 9-G, 10-GG etc.

Does the band ride up or are the hooks are easily placed on their tightest setting, if so go down a band size and up a cup size until they don't.

Do the straps dig into your shoulders? If they do then loosen them, if they are supporting your breasts then go down a band size and up a cup size until you could go without the straps.

Look for straps that are thick so that they don't dig into your flesh as much.

If you stand in profile to the mirror the fullest part of your bust should be about half way between your shoulder and your elbow. If higher then loosen your shoulder straps, if lower then tighten them or get a smaller band and bigger cup if it just slips down.

If your cups overflow or the cups dig into your breast tissue go up a cup size. If your brest tissue falls our the sides of the cup under your arms or the under wire rests on brest tissue then go up cup sizes until this doesn't occur. You may have to go down band sizes after this if the band no longer rests on the tissue.

If you stand tall with good posture then you should not have bulges or gaping, if there is gaping then go down a cup size, if there is bulging then go up a cup size. Bra's fit you when you have good posture, so if you don't want gaping then practice your posture.

Keep in mind the number and letter don't matter as long as your Brest's look good and you feel supported, go to a store and try on as many bra types and styles as possible in your size (it won't be the same size in every bra so be prepared to go through the above process with every bra that you try on) remember if you go up a band then you go down a cup and if you go down a band then go up a cup because the cup size is all relative to the ratio of rib cage circumference to brest tissue.

Note that back bulge or fat that looks like it is a result of a too tight band is usually a result of a too loose band that is riding up the back and forcing the tissue to ride up so try going down band sizes before you go up. oh and normal bra stores may not have the right sizes so go to a professional specialty store the first time to find your proper bra size.

Well known Bra fitting places?

Sum Girl

I'm looking for suggestions on places to go to get a bra fitting. I'm a big girl (i wear larges and size 12 pants) and My boobs are kinda big too (partially from genetics and partially from being fat but that's beside the point)
I don't think the current bra size or type I'm wearing is suitable for me because I always feel like my boobs are sagging just because the bra's I wear aren't fitting correctly.

I know I can go to Victoria's Secret but are there any other places that you can suggest? I live in close to Indianapolis, IN - if that helps anyone with local places but any well known retail stores helps too. Thanks in advance!

Answer
Most people on here are gonna tell you to go to Macy's, Nordstrom, Walmart , Target, Victoria Secrets, La Senzia, J.C Penny's and the like. most of the places are just not helpful. Either they don't offer larger cup size smaller band or lager bands, or they don't really fit you properly. I'm not sure where you live but you should try Intimacy. I would say even if you lived like 2 states over from on it was a trek go get fitted properly. Even if you can afford their bras you can then buy online and get the bras you need. I like Intimacy because they do try to fit you. But they also try to push their customers in to buying bras that are 100-150 bucks. They do have cheaper bras but you will have to ask to see the drawer and search yourself to get one.

The great thing about Intimacy is other than the fit they will fix the bras that you bought that break. How many times have you busted underwire or been in between sizes. They will fix you bra for free you just pay the shipping and handling which is 8 Bucks. If it busts they will felt it. If you need something about the bra reworked they will fix it. And one time did get a larger bra in the band and smaller in the cup just because they ran out of my size. when the underwire broke twice they gave me a store credit on the spot no wining or complaining.

You can look at the pdf to find other stores that fit like intamcy fits, that are near you.
http://www.myintimacy.com/images/stories/intimacy-retailers.pdf

Once you get fitted if your a D or DD plus you can get bras online. Some of them are quite nice.

Good luck.

What stores will do bra fitting?

ChristyCar

I know Victoria Secret will, but they don't have
my size bra. I've been a size C since I was about
12. Now I'm 17 and I believe I may be a D.
So what stores will do bra fitting?
Last time I went to Victoria Secret they said they only go up to 38C. Maybe its just because it was an outlet store.
And also, I'm like 40 in band size and I know that Victoria Secret doesnt have 40+

Answer
Forget Victoria's secret, my best friend was a manager there during college then last week we were shopping for bras at a department store and she asked for help choosing a size. Anyway, not all their bras fit the same and I think you can do better.

Macy's, Saks, Bloomingdales, pretty much ANY store that sells wacoal bras. Just call your favourite dept store and ask when the Wacoal reps are coming b/c you want to be fitted by them. THEY ARE THE BEST and they will teach you things that apply to any bra (not only theirs) beyond that, if you need help right away, I find the higher end dept stores have the more knowlegable staff and I would call to see who their best fitter is and when that person will be working.

Are push-up bras meant for older women?

Ill.

Im wanting a push up bra, im a young woman though, not because they are sagging, It's just a regular bra doesn't look great with some of my shirts. My boobs arent tiny, there a regular size, im just curious how they enhance. Im not trying to be skanky, or look at me everyone. I think they look better than wearing a regular bra, especially for occasions ;-).
So, if you own one, do share how comfy, or awesome they are. =D

Answer
i love my push up bras :)
its better to use them if you have small cleavage and you want to make it look like more.
i just wear it because its comfortable, and that's what I look for in a bra.
Try Victoria's Secret bras, they are the best I personally believe- but everyone has different opinions.
If it helps i'm only 16 and a 32 B bra and its pushes my boobs to make them bigger just watch out when you wear v-necks lol because I always tend to have too much that i wear a tank top under the v-neck.

:)

Dating an older woman.?

BashTheDru

Ok.Here's the situation.I sent her a message on a site I recently joined made for the purpose of Ow/Ym dating.I sent her a message because she had viewed my profile a few times.Well,She responded back and asked "Where and what time".So,She is looking to meet.I do have a lot of info. about me in my profile, but there is really nothing in hers, specially a pic.I know older women don't play games,So,I'm wondering what that could possibly mean. She's seen my pic and finds me attractive, but she wants to meet off the bat.I'm not too sure on what to expect.Mainly because I don't know much about her.I am excited about it and all,but wanting to meet so quick was a real curve ball.Any suggestions? Any thoughts?
By the way,I'm 19 and she's in her 40's.

Answer
Listen bra, if you're going to go cougar hunting, you best learn some things - First, this one wants to get laid, nothing more. So, if you want to bag a Coug- then go for it, but suit up your man before you send him in... who knows where this Cougar has been! If she wanted a relationship, she would have more info, would want to talk first - this one doesn't. Might want to meet in a public place and have a bit of a chat do see what's up before taming the kitty.
Second - Cougars are smart, experienced and have heard everything you can imagine, so don't pretend to be someone you aren't, they'll see right through it!
Cougar hunting is fun, but can be dangerous. Be careful, be cautious, have fun!!

Bra shopping?

x.Charlene

I'm having a bit of trouble finding shops that do a selection of bras that go up to my size. I'm quite petite, but I'm a size 34F and I am pretty much restricted to places that are really expensive, and don't evan look that good!! Anyone know of any good places? Thanks xx
even** sorry..

Answer
Whoo! You are petite!
I'm a 38F, but still have some of the same problem. I mean who wants to spend $70 on a granny bra?!
I have to order mine online from Fredricks of Hollywood http://www.fredricks.com
I believe they carry your size, and they have a huge assortment of bras!
Depending on where you live, it takes a few weeks to ship. I live in Northern Alberta, Canada, it cost $180 Canadian for four bras (this was the total bill after shipping and the U.S. exchange.
I think they are at a pretty decent price.
Good Luck!

What are some cute bras and underwear?

Emily

Answer
Victoria's Secret has some very cute bras & panties and they are very high quality. They come in a variety of prints and styles, and fit extremely well. However they are quite pricey, so if you're looking for cheaper ones or you don't have a Victoria's Secret near you, I recommend Target. Their panties are very cute & can usually be found for 5 for $20. Their bras are also cute and of good quality, and depending on the size and style vary in price from $10-$30. I would also recommend Rue 21 for panties, you can sometimes find them there for $1 each (on sale). Good luck!

Different bra sizes for different bra companies?

I noticed in some brands the size doesn't feel right and decided to try on a different size. Any other women have this issue when buying different brands for bras?

Answer
There are many brands that size differently. Some brands use US sizing, others UK sizing, etc. Also, there is no such thing as true to size. What may fit in one brand will not necessarily fit in another brand. That's why there is something called Sister Sizing. Check out this article:
http://www.biggerbras.com/maria/bras-sister-sizing.shtml

For example: I am a 38DD bra size
When I wear Le Mystere Dream Tisha 9955 I have to wear a 40D because the band on this particular bra fits me very tight.

http://www.biggerbras.com/le-mystere-renaissance-full-fit-bras-panties/le-mystere-dream-tisha-t-shirt-and-sweater-bra-9955-ren-9955.shtml

In another brand if the band on the 38DD fits me loose then I must wear a 36DDD in order to find my comfortable fit.

As you can see when the band changes, so does the cup to accomodate the size of the band. All these 3 sizes fit me the same way in the cup. The band either goes up or down in order to fit me properly.

Hope this helps.

Can You Recommend any bras/companies for bigger sizes?

Lou x

im a 36E and dont always feel like im being supported properly
the back tends to ride up and the straps seem to stretch
is there anywhere in the UK i can get a really good bra
that will support me and push me up a bit lol
but that is also pretty
i dont really mind how much is spent as long as its not ridiculous
hope you can help!!
p.s i dont want a reduction lol
just a nice bra!

Answer
If the band is riding up, it's too small. If the straps are digging in, the bra is probably too big in the band and too small in the cup. Do you have a Bravissimo near you? Check their website: http://bravissimo.com and use their store locator - they specialise in bigger bras. It sounds like you could be looking at more 34F/FF than 36E.
My advice is to get a fitting from there, then look elsewhere for bras. They're nice, but aimed at an older audience. I'm 16 and don't have all my bras from there (I'm a 28F, so the only place on the high street I can get bras is from Bravissimo. About 40% of my bras are 32DDs, which is the equivalent cup volume). They're also quite expensive, but see if there's anything you like.

where to find plus sized maternity tops and bigger nursing bras?

sarah beth

my cousin and i were shopping all day. her baby shower is in 2 weeks and she has nothing cute to wear. She has always been a sweat pants and nikes kinda girl so up until now maternity clothes werent an issue.. We tried going up a size or two in plus but they didnt seem long enough for the belly.. Also where can you find plus size nursing bras? any web sites?! she is disgusted and im exhausted.. lol please help us. thanks!
i was thinking about buying a bra in her size now and being creative and sewing it into a nursing bra.. then when she has the baby if she needs a bigger bra i'll know how to fix it up and she will be set when she gets home.. and we are trying motherhood online now.. thanks!

Answer
Honestly, I've been looking for plus sized maternity bras and have been told by 6 maternity stores that I'd have to buy custom made ones for about $150-$200 each. If your friend is any bigger than DD before pregnancy then she may have to go this route as well. I'm just going to use my normal bras. Women did it for years before maternity bras were invented so I figure I can figure it out. lol

Where can I buy punky plus sized(36/38DD) bras?

Roatha C

I'm looking to buy some lingerie for my wife. She's well endowed and finding bras is usually a difficult task, especially if she's looking for something that looks nice. Anyone know where to find some cute punkish bras in 36dd-38dd? Kind of like the styles you see at Hot Topic etc.

Answer
No sure what you mean by 'punkish bra' but i presume you mean designs with a bit of flair.
I would try Marlies Dekkers (she's a amazing dutch designer)
Playful Promises (they're UK based, ship to the US and are having a up to 70% off sale right now)
Also try bare necessities website, they have an amazing selection from brands like Simone Perele, Harlequin. Elle Macpherson
Myla US is currently having a 70% off sale (prices from $18.00)
The figleaves website has also a good selection of nice bras in those sizes

does this bra fit correctly?

So, i was told I'm a 32 C, but my boobs bulge out a little. Im not sure if it fit correctly or not. I tried a 32 D, and it covers my breast much more nicely, but the one thing i don't get it the middle of the bra, in between my two boobs, isn't flat against my skin. But it fits well, on my breast, and the band size doesn't ride up and feels comfortable. I know a larger size would leave excess baggage, so i know it would be too big. So I'm a little confused. Also, this bra gives me nice cleavage. just adding. Why is the middle not flat? I've heard its a sign of an ill fitting bra.
the middle of the 32-c also didn't lie flat

Answer
The bra does not fit. A well fitted bra should lay flat in the middle, not bulge on the sides or top and the straps should not slide around. Get fitted at a specialty store to be sure. If you don't feel comfortable in a 32C but that should be your size, the problem may be the bra style. Try a different style. Or you could go down a cup size and up a band size. (34B) It might fit better. Sounds like it would be smaller, but it's actually the same size.

how do you know if your bra fits?

blue eyed

for some reason when i first buy bras, when i try them on they fit perfectly around my boob.. but later on, theres space between my bra and boob and when i bend down theres space so you can pretty much see half my boob... why is that!? is the bra to big? to small? tell me.. cause this is always happening.. idk what is wrong.. are my boobs shrinking or something?

Answer
Bras strech all the time, so when your buying one make sure it fits you on the losest hook at the back so you can tighten it as your problem begins also en ensure that there is room to make the straps tighter, this will help you maintain its perfect fit. (These straps should be adjusted after you eash your bras as they often losen)
Signs that show you your bra is not fitting correctly:
-back of bra riding up your back = straps too tight.
-any loseness of the cup = need a smaller cup
-any bulges and the side of top of the cup = need a bigger cup

1. 3 ways that Scarlet O'Hara demonstrates un-ladylike behavior.?

GennyJ

Well my english teacher showed us a clip of gone with the wind. And asked us to point out some not so ladylike behavior of the beautiful Scarlet O'Hara. Needed a little help!:)

Answer
Haha in like every way possible. Just to name a few...
1) She 'showed her bosom before 3 O'Clock' when they went to the Wilkes's BBQ. (ladies back then weren't supposed to show any cleavage until the ball at night)
2) She dances with Rhett at the Bazaar when she is a widow and is supposed to be in deep mourning (she wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place)
3) She goes into business when she has a perfectly able husband who is working (Frank Kennedy) and to make it even worse, she leased convicts. She was also (in the book) rode buggies with Rhett while she was married to Frank. (in those days, women weren't supposed to work at all if they didn't need to. If they had to bc of financial issues or something, it would have to be in a 'ladylike' way such as baking pies or teaching music lessons)
4) She re-marries barely a year after her (2nd) husband's death (I think that explains itself)
5) She went buggy riding alone through dangerous parts of town (Shantytown, where she got attacked). And in those days, women were NOT supposed to ride alone.
Hope I helped! :)

Fastest way from O'hare area to Wrigley field?

Stu

What is the fastest way (cab? train? other?) to get from O'hare airport area to Wrigley field on a Tuesday around 6pm? How long would this method take? Thanks!

Answer
The problem is getting from the train to the park. During the hours hours before the game, Addison is an absolute nightmare. It is only one lane in each direction and everybody who doesn't know any better is using it, plus you are at the tail end of the rush hour.

Do not get off at Addison. Get off at Irving Park Rd, the stop just before Addison. Irving Park is two lanes in each direction and gets less Cubs traffic. Take the 80 Irving Park bus east to Sheridan/Sheffield (it's Sheridan north of Irving Park and Sheffield south of Irving Park) and walk three blocks south on Sheffield to Wrigley Field.

And I am not convinced that taking the train is the fastest way. You will be going at the end of rush hour so a taxi will probably get you there faster. Hopefully the taxi driver will know better than to take Addison. Taking a taxi also eliminates the time it takes to wait for the next bus/train, the time it takes to walk down to the train station and then from the train to the bus stop. And a taxi is going to run on the same street as the bus without having to stop every two blocks along the way.

A taxi is going to be a LOT more expensive. But if time, not money, is your concern, go with the taxi.

What is your favorite brand of plus size clothing for women?

Q. I was a comfortable size 18. I am losing weight but am still heavy in the bust area. I want to know what favorite trendy and instyle plus size catalogues or stores you may shoppe in? I am not ready for Blair catalog yet Ladies!!!!!!

Answer
im not plus size but i have a couple friends who are and they always come to me for fashion advice so i hope i can help.

Lane Bryant has some really cute stuff as of late. like, theres a few things there im jelous im not big enough to fit in, so be sure to give them a shot.

Torrid is like, my favorite plus size store ever because they carry all sorts of funky modern stuff, cool rocker stuff, and some really chic stuff if you need to dress up for things.

not everything in the plus size sections at department stores is terrible either, so if your in Kohls or something and the first thing you see is some horrid plaid dress that looks like it was maid from a picnic blanket, dont give up hope. my mother is plus sized and she does most of her shopping at kohls and she is way way fashion forward for her age.

idk where they all have locations but i know there is a plus size type store called CJ banks that has some nice stuff too. they are really good if you need work type clothes.

hope i helped, and i hope you find some really cute clothes! they are out there. i think its kind of insulting how many unflattering clothes there are for plus size people out there. dont get discouraged if you dont find stuff right away, NO ONE ever finds exactly what they are looking for on the first shot

good costume for plus size women?

susan_s530

Looking for a creative costume idea. Though I am plus size, don't want to hide behind a box costume. any ideas? (I'm not GROSSLY overweight, just a little plump!)

Answer
There are lots of excellent plus size costumes available. Good ones to give you curves are plus size costumes with bodices or have a wide belt such as princesses, pirate wenches or gypsy fortune tellers.

If you want something a little more sexy why not go for Vampiresses, Devil Vixen or a Fallen Angel, looks great with ripped fishnets, tattered wings and a wonky halo! :0)

Fairies and fairytale characters seem to be popular this year, Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Queen of Hearts, woodland fairies etc.

For TV and movie characters there is I Love Lucy, Tracy Turnblad, Batgirl,(wear with leggings if you don't want to show off your legs too much), Dorothy from Oz, Betty Boop,(slinky red dress that you can wear again, plus wig and a garter...voila!)

Hope that has given you some ideas.

Is a womans moan a turn on for you?

Lamar

Is moaning a turn on for you or not . Is it weird to get turned on by hearing other people have sex ? Random

Answer
As a woman, I always thought that a woman's moan is a turn on. I think its because its an empathetic quality that women have by nature; if a woman is enjoying something (namely sex), we automatically feel empathy towards her therefore increasing our libido.
As far as hearing people having sex, all I can say is it can definitely be a turn on for some, especially if I know the women is having a blast. Plus, hearing sex automatically makes people think of sex; and with hormones raging, it can be a turn on.

Why do women moan during sex?

aksaggi

Answer
Pleasure.

Some women are moaners. Some are very quiet. Every woman is different. Attend the Vagina Monologues and watch The Woman Who Loved to Make Vaginas Happy. It'll explain a lot about moans.

Guys: how much does bra size really matter?

Sammi Sixx

I'm really worried that guys won't think im pretty or sexy because I'm only a B cup. I'm really insecure about it... I would appreciate if you tell me what you think. Like whats the best size cup size and what why do you find boobs so attractive?

Answer
The really nice mature guys will not be all that concerned about bra size. Only the jerks with their heads between their legs think like that. So don't worry about that. If some guy starts asking you questions about your bra size, slap his face and tell him to go to _______..

Why do so many guys who swear they love big breasts when they have no idea about true bra size?

mwdogg1

I hear so many guys talk about how they love women with DDs but do guys even know what that means? Will you actually pull ou a tape measurer and dump her if she's not a certain cup size? Seriosly just as long as her breats are noticable I think most guys are fine. Guys don't know about real bra sizes. Comments?

Answer
Objection. You will never see a woman get out her ruler to make sure a guy is at least 6 inches long and 5 inches girth, but yet, you often hear women talk about needing a penis to be at least x amount of inches long for satisfaction. When we talk about sizes (in this case, breast size), its not like we actually take out tape measures or anything, its that we associate what size breasts we like with whatever their bra size is. Oh, and BTW, they need to be more then noticeable. If they are less then a handful, forget about it.

how to measure bra cup size?

Colton J

my grandmother wants to know how to measure bra cup sizes

Answer
Good god don't ever go to VC, they're so full of it. Just measure under the bust, round up if it's odd. There's the first band size you should try. Measure the fullest part of your bust, and subtract the band measurement from the bust measurement. There's the cup size to go with the band size.
Example:If you end out with a 32/35 measurement, try a 32C, and the sister sizes of 34D, and 30B.

Protip: never add more than an inch or two to your band measurement unless you want a FAILbra with band riding up your back and no support to the bust whatsoever.

Aerie bras???

Molly <3

Do you like them? Have you ever tried them??? Are they comfortable?? I am thinking of getting the katie bras from there. What do you think??

Answer
They are good T-shirt bras. They make sure everything is in place, and they don't go deformed after wearing and washing.
Katie bra's are really comfy.

So yeah, I like them. They're everyday bras.

aerie convertible bra?

lovee

sorry for the repost. my last question was all messed up.

http://www.ae.com/aerie/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat1870008&productId=prod3370033

are they convertible as in just strapless or can you change the straps like the victoria's secret convertible bra?

thank you
also would you suggest the vs bra or ae one?

Answer
It's not the same as the VS bra.

You can change around the shoulder straps on both and you can wear both strapless.

But with the VS bra, you can remove the back strap and attach a special strap so that you can wear low backed tops without your bra showing. You can't do that with the ae one.

So if you want to wear a low backed top (and don't want your bra to show), get the VS bra.

I have a question about maternity bras?

Britt

So where is a good place to by one? Do they actually make bras that are just better for being pregnant or does it have to be a nursing bra? When do you make the switch? I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to be buying a bra soon and someone said something about a maternity bra. So that's why I'm curious. Thanks everyone. And good luck with all of your pregnancies!
Well my bra is just getting so small and I'm not really interested in a nursing bra because I'm only 11 weeks pregnant. So is there some kind of just pregnant bra that helps supports the girls without having the openings?

Answer
Basically a maternity bra is just a wireless bra. The idea is that it wont harm your mammary glands so that you'll be able to breast feed when the time comes. I have one but because I have a large chest I really can't wear it in public so I wear a regular bra during the day and the maternity bra at night. Personally I would get a comfy athletic bra for night and get a regular bra for the going out and what have you. I'm hesitant to buy nursing bras until the baby comes cuz I'm not quite sure how big these things are gonna get. Good luck

maternity bra??

Mrs. Giggl

So when did you half to go into a maternity bra? I have an underwire right now and itâs killing me but im not sure what to do cause I think Iâve gone up in size. Iâm 18 weeks so should I just go up a size in regular bras or go to the maternity? Someone told me that underwire bras will mess up your milk glands?

Answer
If your breast are already swelling I would suggest going to a maternity bra. If your not sure what size go to a maternity store and their salespeople will size you. This is a good thing to do after the baby, too, if you are going to nurse. A too small bra is not only uncomfortable but it can mess up your milk development and flow.
You can still wear under wire though. Maternity bras come in all shapes and sizes just like regular bras. But, again, I would suggest being sized because wearing the wrong kind of under wire while pregnant and nursing can actually cause a bad infection. If it squeezes you in the wrong places it will clog your milk ducts and lead to an infection that can cause high fevers and ALOT of pain.
18 weeks is a tad too early maybe but, it wouldn't hurt to look into the pricing and sizing. I went up a size and was very uncomfortable. When I finally went to a store it turns out I was wearing a bra 3 sizes too small!!!
If your not ready for all that yet, try a sports bra. They are really comfortable and less likely to rub you when you begin to get sensitive.
And, finally, remember that if you want to nurse wearing the correct bra can be very, very important. If you do not want to a snug bra will do better as it will decrease milk flow and production and help you dry up quicker.
Hope this helps! Best luck and congratulations!!!

Good bra brands???????????????

first14565

my 11 year old girl needs a size 32 A bra... the target brand alredy broke any brands?

Answer
My favorite bras are from Victoria's Secret. They even measure you if you ask, so you know you're wearing the right size.
VS also has a PINK line, which would be more suitable to younger ladies. I'd reccommend getting the VS Pink 2 for $32 "wear-everywhere t-shirt demi bra" http://www.victoriassecret.com/commerce/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=GM-253978&page=1&cgname=OSPNKBAPZZZ&rfnbr=4665&atp=a because they're comfy & the best deal (plus they come in the essential colors, like nude & black).
And if you're looking for some good deals at Victoria's Secret, I reccommend that you go in January & June, which is when they have their semi-annual sale. Those are the best times to stock up because it's discounted. :)

You can also go to American Eagle Outfitters & check out their aerie line which specializes in undies, bras, loungewear, etc. http://www.ae.com/aerie/browse/category_full_fashion_guide.jsp?catId=cat520023&icid=AHP:ShopBras

Where to buy bras besides Victoria's Secret?

Nono Urbis

I'm not a big fan of the demi cup bra which is all Victoria's Secret carries (plus I don't like the majority of their designs). Where else can I buy nice/cute bras for a similar (or less price)? And it would be nice if the store offered other bra styles like balconette. And I hate shopping online for bras so please just stores available in San Diego.

Other info:
I'm 17, 36C, wide set breasts, hourglass figure, average height and weight

Answer
Check out The Enchantress in San Diego. They used to be in Old Town but now in Mission Valley area. Your size would be easy to find for them, but they can order all SORTS of wild sizes! Also they carry good specialty type stuff where normal bras wouldn't work.

Intimacy is a shop at Fashion Valley, haven't been there, heard its more expensive but some REALLY good bras :)

And a lot of people also seem to like Soma (I've been to the one in Carlsbad at the Forums), but their designs are more plain, not quite as "pretty"

Bras??????

What size bras are out there i 've head of HH and A,B,C,D but not like GG of HH what are they?

Answer
There are two components to a bra size, a number and then a letter i.e 38D.

The letters stand for the cup size, or how far out from the chest wall the breast tissue grows. (how big the boobs are) They run from size AA (smallest) through to H (very large). There are bra sizes out there for even bigger boobs, but ive never heard of anything larger than J. You measure over the fullest part of the breast and around the back to find the cup measurement.

The number in a bra size is a measurement of your back. I.e a 28 inch measurement of your back taken from under the breasts will need a 28 numbered bra.

The ideal bra will be flush around the whole body and between the breasts, will fully encase the breasts with no bulges or gaps, offer good support, lifting the breasts and the back should not ride up.

Larger nursing bras?

jdecorse25

I am normally a 34F. I'm trying on nursing bras now and am now a 38F (so far that I can figure. 36's are just a tad too tight around, and the cup is still too small. Where can I find a 38F or higher(G-H) but not pay an arm and a leg? Also, would they take them back if they don't fit? I hate buying anything over the web, but I think that's my only option.

Answer
Online will probably be your best option, I love www.motherwear.com. JC penney has some good bras online too. I know you can return bras to both these sites.

Can you tell a cup size by inches around the bust?

Alexis S

If so what am I? (38 inches) Different bras are always sized oddly. Anyone?

Answer
http://www.85b.org/bra_calc.php

This is supposed to work but I find it doesn't when you are odd like me. (big breasts with a small frame).

Best way is to try on sizes and figure it out. If the bra doesn't fit right, I was told to keep the band size (under the bust) and move a a bra size or two. I was wearing a 34DD which was uncomfortable, so i now wear a 34DDD/F

How do you tell if your bra cup size is the right size?

In the mea

Answer
In my experience, the only sure way to tell is to try the next cup size up in the same exact bra. If that one is not too large, then try the next cup size, repeat until you try on a size that is obviously too large; the one right before that one is your correct size.

Whats a good strapless bra or "sticky" bra for fuller boobs?

Cassie

I've got D's..haha and I want a new strapless bra that will actually stay up and possibly give me some push up. i wear shirts without backs..and im tired of having to wear no bra with it. its really uncomfortable. thats a good "sticky" bra that will actually support my boobs and not have them saggy. thank you!!

Answer
When buying a strapless bra you should try going down in the band and up in the cup from your original size.

Example: if you wear a 34D then you should try a 32DD. The cups change in order to accommodate the band.

Since strapless bras don't have the straps to help the band stay up then you should try getting it a little snugger in the band. Also, strapless bras usually come with silicone grips that help the band stay put. Make sure you look at the band in order to determine if it has the grips.

Here are a few strapless bras that may work for you:

How strapless bra doesn't slip down??

May bEE I

My GF always complain of this. she wears 34C. ladies plz help?

Answer
Getting the perfect strapless bra for is not hard a task to undertake, although it does take time. The key to this puzzle is to shop around, visit a number of lingerie stores and actually try some on. A huge mistake can do in picking a strapless bra for shop for it online.must try it on before buy it. The reason behind this is that the piece should fit snuggly, without any gaps. If there are gaps, ought to ask for a smaller cup size. The best strapless bra for would be one that fits ribcage without stifling and does not have empty spaces between the fabric and the skin of breasts.

Another reason why should personally shop for strapless bra and make sure that it fits perfectly is that have to test how the bra works on while move. As said above, an ill-fitting strapless bra will not give much support and will fall off at one wrong move. To make sure that the bra does not behave that way, wave your arms, stretch, and even jump around in the dressing room when trying one on.

But even if it does fit perfectly, remember that some activities do not go with the strapless bra. Do not wear a strapless bra if are going to move around a lot or play sports or do heavy housework.

Once have found the perfect piece for, buy as much as can afford. Do not buy just one piece because might find wearing it more and more often as get accustomed to wearing one.

Wearing a strapless bra can be a nightmare â but only if wearing the wrong one. It does not have to be a nightmare at all, not when know the secret of how to choose the perfect one.

Can plus size women wear strapless bras?

te

Answer
yes if there are strapless bras in your size. The band of a bra is where you get 90 percent of the support of the bra. There are strapless bras up to a size GG and band sizes up to 40. There are some brand that do long line bras. These bras are strapless and hold up well.

Yukata sizing for plus sized American woman?

December

I'm a tall plus sized woman, 5'10" (70inches),
41 inches at the bust,
and
I am 47 inches at the hips which is my largest measurement.

from the base of my neck to the floor is 60"

I am getting married in three years and I have a wedding kimono already picked out.

I am dieting right now, to achieve the figure needed for the wedding kimono (and a more healthy weight anyways) by the 3 year mark, however for now, I am wanting to start wearing yukata to practice.
I have seen sites like kimono market sakura that says
their yukata adjusts like:

Yukata can be adjusted to height from 4.9feet to 6feet
It can be adjusted to a waist size from 20inch to 50inch

So I'm wondering if that means at my size, I can still wear the yukata the way it's supposed to be, like with an obi and koshihimo.

I am NOT interested in Americanized yukata bathrobes or shirts or anything that isn't * original * so to speak.
Americans tend to take something foreign and make it look very ghey.

I am really wanting to understand the SIZING of yukata, because I already know how to wear one.

Thanks for your help.

Btw, my fiancee is Japanese, and we're planning on holding
a wedding here (America) and in Japan (for his family). I have always been a lover of Japan, and even lived there for 2.5 yrs.

Answer
At your size, the Kimono Market Sakura yukata are not big enough for you to wear them properly. The two front panels are supposed to completely overlap each other, with the outer edge of one reaching the opposite side seam (so, the edge of the left front panel should be even with the seam running down your right side).

The good news is that you can find yukata and obi that fit -- I'm bigger than you and I have four that fit me. The bad news is that since yukata season is almost over and you're not the only woman who wears bigger sizes, most of the ones available to you online are going to be sold out already. If you're currently outside of Japan, try the kimono and yukata section of Jshoppers.com. Earlier this year they were selling three styles of larger-size yukatas and accessories. Many of the sizes were sold out when I bought mine way back in May, but you might still find one in your size. They have a fairly accurate sizing chart that shows the conversion between Japanese sizes and American sizes that should help you at least figure out your Japanaese size. Ichiroya also sold some larger yukata this year, and while most of their selection is sold out there are a few left. Ichiroya seems to label their yukata according to American sizes (so if you see a yukata labeled 4L that's fairly accurate to American sizing, maybe a touch on the small side). But they also give the maximum hip measurements the yukata will fit. You're going to want a hip measurement bigger than your actual measurement by a pretty good margin for a proper fit. If you're not sure what will work, email them and ask. They do speak English and they're very nice about helping people out. Just be clear in what you're asking.

You might have a hard time finding yukata that fit your height, but many larger yukata are also a bit longer than standard yukata so it shouldn't be to much of a problem. As long as it's not much more than 10cm shorter than you it should be okay.

Do all men think plus-size women are unattractive?

just4funya

I am in my mid-twenties and have a plus-size figure. I am fun and active, and usually am game for trying anything once. I don't feel that my weight effects my choices or my lifestyle very much, but it seems that being "fat" is a curse regardless of your attitude or personality.

My husband says that he love me and finds me attractive regardless, but sometimes I wonder. Any insights?

Answer
i am a plus-size woman myself and it just seems that there aren't very many men who do find plus size women attractive, despite what i hear. if there are any WHERE ARE THEY? and i do agree with you totally because it seems as though, no matter how outgoing, funny, or "pretty in the face" you are, if you are not tiny and half naked, you don't get a second look. its like we have to work that much harder at looking good than a smaller woman. and its like people say that beauty is skin deep and its whats on the inside that counts but how would any man know that i'm fun to be around and one of the most loyal people he could know if he is so repulsed by my outside? it just goes to show you that looks do matter, and as far as the plus size women are concerned, men don't know what they are missing!

What is the greatest in game dunk ever?

Anastasia

I don't care if it's in the NBA, the NCAA or just on like a charity game for this school I wanna know. Some say it's Vince carter over that French center Weiss in the Olympics idk though somewhere our there somewhere someone has pulled the sickest dunk
Possible

Answer
In the NCAA, perhaps this follow-up dunk by Cincinnati's Melvin Levett is (arguably) the best...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY3TV3vgs7k

As for NBA, it's a toss up between Shawn Kemp's in-game dunk list...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQeMhYJe5JA

...and Vince Carter's in-game dunk list (which includes the Weiss posterization)...

Is This The Best NBA Dunk Ever????

rapnewss

I have never seen anyone else ever do this.....

http://www.thesegalleries.com/link/f84e7c0c/18175

Answer
The white guy commenting on the dunk is an idiot.

That was not a 720 dunk.

When the guy took off, he was facing the foul line (his back was to the baseline).

When he actually dunked, he was facing the near sideline.

From the time he took off to the time he dunked, he did 1 and 1/4 revolutions (i.e. a 450). He then grabbed the rim to spin himself around, and he was still spinning around when he landed....

Even when he landed he'd done only 1 and 3/4 revolutions from the time he took off...(when he landed he was facing the far sideline), which adds up to 630, with the help of grabbing the rim to spin himself around after he dunked.

Watch it again, and stop the video when he takes off. You'll see what I'm talking about.

While in the air, he spun around exactly one and one-quarter times, and then dunked...the rest of his "720" (actually 630) was done with the aid of grabbing the rim..

In order for the dunk to have been a 720, he would have had to take off the way he did, spin around twice while in the air, and dunk the ball while facing in the direction of the free throw line (to complete the 720).

That didn't happen. That didn't even come close to happening.

That dunk was no big deal.

You're way to easily amused.

correctly measuring bra sizes?

Aungeni

how do you properly measure bra size?

Answer
Measure evenly and snug under your breasts, add 2" to this measurement, this is your band size. You DO NOT add 4 or 5" like some websites suggest because this will result in a band that is too big and also a cup size that is too small, because you need to find the correct band size first before moving onto what cup size you need.

Measure over the fullest part of your breasts, evenly but not snug. Subtract your band measurement from this to find the difference which will be your cup size.

If the difference is less than 1" you are an AA cup
1" A
2" B
3" C
4" D
5" E (DD)
6" F (DDD)
7" G (DDDD)
