Fastest way from O'hare area to Wrigley field?

Stu

What is the fastest way (cab? train? other?) to get from O'hare airport area to Wrigley field on a Tuesday around 6pm? How long would this method take? Thanks!

Answer
The problem is getting from the train to the park. During the hours hours before the game, Addison is an absolute nightmare. It is only one lane in each direction and everybody who doesn't know any better is using it, plus you are at the tail end of the rush hour.

Do not get off at Addison. Get off at Irving Park Rd, the stop just before Addison. Irving Park is two lanes in each direction and gets less Cubs traffic. Take the 80 Irving Park bus east to Sheridan/Sheffield (it's Sheridan north of Irving Park and Sheffield south of Irving Park) and walk three blocks south on Sheffield to Wrigley Field.

And I am not convinced that taking the train is the fastest way. You will be going at the end of rush hour so a taxi will probably get you there faster. Hopefully the taxi driver will know better than to take Addison. Taking a taxi also eliminates the time it takes to wait for the next bus/train, the time it takes to walk down to the train station and then from the train to the bus stop. And a taxi is going to run on the same street as the bus without having to stop every two blocks along the way.

A taxi is going to be a LOT more expensive. But if time, not money, is your concern, go with the taxi.

I just got on Route 210 and am on my way to Celestic Town, I feel that my pokemon are weak and want/need badly to train them, please help me!!!

Answer
Well you could use rare candy (but you can't buy it so use it wisely)

You could leave your pokemon at the daycare centre but I recommend you don't because they delete some of the moves and teach your pokemon crappy moves (unless you have a way of getting back the tm or hm your pokemon use to know).

Put the Exp. share on the weakest pokemon you have (or any pokemon you just want level up faster). Go to really strong trainers and use the vs seeker. After you've fought all the the strong trainers go to the grass and fight pokemon. After a while (over half and hour) go back to the strong trainers and use the vs seeker again.

If you know anyone else with a ds (like a friend or someone in your family) that has pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Ask them if you can trade pokemon, if they say yes trade the pokemon you want to level up faster back and forth everytime
you trade a pokemon, their normal ammount of experience bar will be shorter, making it easier to level up!

Hope this helped

Brandy off of storage wars wears what size bra?

Jessica

What size bra does Brandy off of the storage wars wear?

Answer
I didn't find her measurements posted online anywhere. From looking at her pictures, though, I'd guess a 36C or 38C, as she has nice-sized (but not huge) breasts and an average body frame.

Where to find a mastectomy bra?

Mookie

My grandmother had a mastectomy years back, and her insurance covers a free breast prosthesis and 2 bras. The problem is, the place she was accustomed to going is no longer open! The next available certified place is Nordstroms, and the Fitting "Specialist" appears to be no older than 20 y/o, and has about as much experience as I do! We've notified our insurance company about our dilemma, they claim only Nordstroms is available in our area. It's time for her renewal, she was hardly satisfied with the bras from last year, and we have no alternative. Any suggestions out there? We're welcome to all, this is so discouraging! Thanks to all feedback!
Thank you much, ladies, for the indepth info. I copied and asked this question in a different category, desperate to hear options, you wouldn't believe the inconsiderate answers I received! This has been such great support, breast prostethetic supplies are limited here, most have gone out of business, they were your local med supply stores that can't compete with big distributors. Doctors, sadly, just simply aren't informed, and you called it Honey, insurance is king! Sassy I wish you the best in your fight; my grandmother is 11 years strong bc survivor, my mother passed from it at 32, my aunt was just diagnosed. Thank you all tons, this helps!

Answer
Nordies can sew pockets in her favorite bras too. . . ask to see the seamstress who does this. I bet she knows a bit. . . also, Nordstrom's is a department store so they have a decent sized staff--ask the department manager who's got the most experience and when she's working. The mast. bra co's have training classes and actually certify the fitters--so even if Ms. Teenybopper can't do it--someone else can.

Also your Grandmother's cancer center may have a boutique that does fittings. Mine does. And our lady is AWESOME! She can direct bill the bras through insurance too so I left with two bras and a prothesis--actually 3. . . I needed a couple different shapes/types .. . . a couple were donated and were the heavier type but man they LOOk real (in the bra at least.)

Oh hey also, you could get Grandma fitted at another store and then go to Nordie's and buy what the other store recommended. . . sneaky but works.

Good luck.

sweetest dunk ever?

Icyboii

ok is not the best dunk ever, but i like it very much it has everything the swagger, the elevation, the nastiness and the FACIAL ON YAO!!!!

manu climbing over the "great wall of China"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmSxiiJBmiE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FokwIN8RRMg&feature=related

how bout this one manu over diop? SICK!!!

Answer
yeah those are some serious monster dunks by Ginobili. what i like about Manu's dunks is they always surprise me. It doesnt look like he's gonna dunk, and you are thinking he isn't gonna dunk, and then Wham!!
The sweetest dunk ever is a Shawn Kemp dunk probably around 1995-96. Not even sure who they were playing, but he totally slams it down on the run doing a one handed rock the cradle and then he lands, hops back, and with both hands points and laughs at the guy he just totally posterized. Shawn Kemp was the best dunker ever in my opinion. Even better than Jordan.

Best Dunk Ever??

khmagician

please provide an in game dunk (olympics, NBA, etc.)

and please provide a dunk contest one...

Answer
They don't have it on YouTube, but Dr. J (Julius Erving) when he was in the ABA finals with the New Jersey Nets jumped just inside the free throw line, faked left, the defender cut off his pass to the right so he continued his spin and dunked the ball. VERY impressive.

In a dunk contest, again not on YouTube. Gerry Wright (who played at USC and later at Iowa) did the most unique dunk I've ever seen. He started at the half court line running in while palming the ball - he didn't dribble in. He then did a handspring (or a round-off or a cartwheel - I'm not sure which) off his free hand and when he came out of the handspring he jumped up and dunked. I've NEVER seen anyone else even attempt such a dunk.

difference between juniors and regular womens sizes

thewayitis

What is the difference between juniors size 7 and regular womens size 8

Answer
for size 8 (i used target's size chart cuz they have both juniors and womens) waist:29.5in. hips:39in.
size 7 waist:27in. hips:37in.
so you can see that a size 8 is bigger than a size 7

which size is bigger?

Amy Smith

in bra sizes. is size a or c bigger

Answer
Cup size is dependent on band size, so an A cup can be the same size or larger than a C cup as long as the A cup has a larger band. For example, a 34A will be smaller than a 34C, but the same size cup volume as a 30C and larger cup volume than a 28C. A 34C has the same cup volume as a 38A and a smaller cup volume than a 40A.

US cup sizes are ordered AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, DD/E, DDD/F, DDDD/G, etc, but since cup size is based on band size, all A cups aren't the same volume and neither are all DDs. This is why when a woman goes up a band size and the cups in the original bra fit, she should try a larger brand with a smaller cup size. For example, if you're wearing a 34C and the band is too small and the cups fit, you will be a 36B to keep the same cup volume.

maternity/nursing bras?

onearkansa

I am at a loss as to what size I need to buy. I am currently 25 weeks, and my regular bras still fit just fine. But I plan to breastfeed, and have no clue what size nursing bra to buy so that I am prepared ahead of time. My regular size is 38DD. Any body have any tips has to how to figure out what size I will need?

Answer
Do you have a motherhood maternity store around?
http://www.motherhood.com/Nursinghome.asp

Here is what I would do: buy what is called a "sleep bra" which is a soft cup sports-bra type nursing bra. They come in S-M-L-XL so there's a lot more leeway size wise.

http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?ViewSource=&Product_Id=975400360&category_Name=2+For+Deals&Category_Id=0360&MasterCategory_Id=MC29
http://www.motherhood.com/Nursinghome.asp

You could also try one of these in your size to have on hand, these are only $12

http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?ViewSource=&Product_Id=902510361&category_Name=Nursing+Bras&Category_Id=0361&MasterCategory_Id=MC29

GlamourMom Nursing Tanks are great too, and since it's S-M-L-XL you don't have to worry about cup size so much. You can buy them online at glamourmom.com but they are cheaper at motherhood maternity stores for some reason.

I would only buy any nice (ie expensive) nursing bras about 3-4 weeks after birth when you know what size you'll be. Otherwise it's a waste. You won't want to wear a real bra at first anyway, trust me.

Target also carries larger size nursing bras and nursing tanks

Guys--Is a bra size 32B too small?

R

Here's an example of a 32B: http://www.gemzies.com/upload/page_thumb/anna_kournikova_bikini_portrait.jpg

That's what I am. I was thinking of getting a boob job to become either a 32C or 32D. Here's some more examples:

32C: http://media.egotvonline.com/files/2009/12/teri-hatcher.jpg

32D: http://thestarceleb.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/amy-winehouse-boobs.jpg

Please don't judge on the actual girl, judge on the breast size. Which is more appealing to you?

Answer
32B is a nice medium size on a petite body. But even if you're not petite, most guys *hate* fake breasts. There's an unnatural shape to them, they tend to have little or no sensation which takes a lot of the fun out of them (for the guy and woman), etc. Small and natural always beats big and fake.

Guys also have doubts about the confidence levels of a woman who would go and get fake breasts; it's just not a good statement about her personality, and IMO will attract the wrong sort of guy in terms of stable, long term relationships.

(Natural) larger breasts can be fun, and I won't lie and say Terri Hatcher's aren't nice. And I've seen some great 32D and 32DDs too, though I don't count Amy Winehouse among them because those are fake. (natural 32DD: http://tinyurl.com/yklhvnm )

But the best look for you is almost certainly to stick with what nature gave you. Be confident and enjoy the advantages of smaller breasts--you can get away with going braless once and a while, and they tend to be more sensitive than larger ones (even natural larger ones). And if you ever are in a position to try going topless at the beach, you'll find it favors small and medium breasts, since large ones tend to look best in a supportive bra/top.

Why do guys wanna know my bra size ?

It's so stupid I rather have them stare at my boobs then ask that so annoying

Answer
What guys say: What is your bra size?
What guys mean: I want to have sex with you, and if you tell me what I want to know that means you want to have sex with me

It doesn't matter if you like the guy or not any guy that talks like this without knowing you should get a slap to the face.

how to measure my bra size?

Kaitlyn Ta

im 13 turning 14 this friday. i weigh 87 pounds, im 5" or 5"1 somewhere in between. i wear a 36a which the band size is waaayyyyyy too big. my ribcage is 28 inches and my bust size is 30 inches. all the bras ive had never seemed to fit. so what bra size am i? and i dont wanna get measure at victorias secret, it seems way too awkward haha. thankss(:

Answer
Your measured size puts you as a 28B, but if the 36A cups fit, try a 28DD (it has the same cup volume as a 36A, but on a much smaller band). Your measured size is only supposed to serve as a starting point when trying on bras, so it is perfectly fine that you may need a DD when you measure out to a B.

Bra fitting videos:
http://brastop.com/fitting_room.aspx
http://www.frmheadtotoe.com/2010/08/ask-ms-bra-fitting-101.html (The only thing wrong in this video is that you're supposed to measure UNDER your breasts for your band size--where the band actually rests.)

how do i measure my bra size?

spoiled_ba

like i get the ribcage part..but i dont get how where you measure where your breast is the fullest?
it confuses me..
like where is your breast fullest...
aghh! im so confuusseed :[

Answer
Measure around your breasts making sure that measuring tape touches both of your nipples. This is the the bust size. Then measure around your ribcage just below your boobs. This is the rib size. Subtract the bust from the rib and then use a guide to find your bra size:
1 = A cup
2 = B cup
3 = C cup
etc..

If you are still confused many department stores will do it for you

Does the number in a bra effect the cup size?

purplefrui

I understand for example a 36c means a 36 inch rib cage, below the breast but would a 34c and a 38c have any differences in cup size? Is a 38c cup slightly bigger for the larger rib cage?

-Thanks

Answer
yes it is, the lager the back size the larger the cup size for example the cups in a 34c would be similar size to the cups in a 32d

Two Cups Size Padded Bra With AA Cup?

hiskid1973

I lost weight and went from a full B to and AA.. I got some spring/summer outfits that fit great but have
a lot of bust space.I got a VS bombshell but it sorta smashes me and doesn't feel comfortable compare to
a regular ppu bra.Is there an AA cup bra that is padded? Thanks.

Answer
You can find padded bras in almost any size, look around in different stores, especially Victoria's Secret. You could try the Miraculous Bra they have, I'm not sure if it comes in AA though. If you can't find any bras that work, there is another option besides breast implants: silicone enhancers, also called falsies, bra inserts, or cutlets. You can get them in stores that sell bras and panties or you can buy them online too. They come in different sizes and can add anywhere from half a cup two 2 full cup sizes to your chest. If you want to look like the B cup you were before, find ones that add 2 cup sizes and get a slightly padded bra in a B cup. The enhancers will fill out the extra space in your bra.

What's considered plus size for women?

doubleK

Is it size 8 and up? Size 10 and up? I'm 6 feet, female, and about 165 lbs. I'm trying to lose 10 lbs. I just don't think I could ever NOT be considered plus size, but my body doesn't look plus size at all! I'm like a size 12 now.

Answer
Plus sized is equivalent to Full Figured Size 14, 16, 18, 20, 22. Most women in that category are between 175 lbs and 275 lbs. Those women shop at "Women's apparel" stores like Lane Bryant, Roaman's, Ashley Stewart, the AVENUE, Sizes Unlimited, and other stores like that. They are also defined as wearing clothes that are 1x, 2x and 3x. It is certainly not anywhere between a single digit or up to a size 12. Petites, Juniors and Misses are not the category for Plus size.

What is your favorite brand of plus size clothing for women?

Q. I was a comfortable size 18. I am losing weight but am still heavy in the bust area. I want to know what favorite trendy and instyle plus size catalogues or stores you may shoppe in? I am not ready for Blair catalog yet Ladies!!!!!!

Answer
im not plus size but i have a couple friends who are and they always come to me for fashion advice so i hope i can help.

Lane Bryant has some really cute stuff as of late. like, theres a few things there im jelous im not big enough to fit in, so be sure to give them a shot.

Torrid is like, my favorite plus size store ever because they carry all sorts of funky modern stuff, cool rocker stuff, and some really chic stuff if you need to dress up for things.

not everything in the plus size sections at department stores is terrible either, so if your in Kohls or something and the first thing you see is some horrid plaid dress that looks like it was maid from a picnic blanket, dont give up hope. my mother is plus sized and she does most of her shopping at kohls and she is way way fashion forward for her age.

idk where they all have locations but i know there is a plus size type store called CJ banks that has some nice stuff too. they are really good if you need work type clothes.

hope i helped, and i hope you find some really cute clothes! they are out there. i think its kind of insulting how many unflattering clothes there are for plus size people out there. dont get discouraged if you dont find stuff right away, NO ONE ever finds exactly what they are looking for on the first shot

Bra Size Chart? From A to B?

Katy

What is the bra size chart from A to B. Because am just asking

Answer
There isn't really a chart. A bra size has a number and a letter, like I'm a 36D. The number means how you measure underneath your boobs plus two inches give or take. The letter is your cup size, which you find out by measuring the fullest part of your breasts. Take your breast measurement and subtract your band measurement. A one inch difference is A. Two is B. Three is C. Four is D. And so on. To find your ideal bra size, you'll just have to do a lot of trying on at the store. The measurements will get you your start.

Is there a bra size chart?

Me

So I'm like a 32 or 34 A in the kids bras, the ones you buy in the girls section (but not a training bra, it's padded and everything) anyway, I know that the 32 a you find in the girls is not the same size as the 32 a you find in the womens cause I bought one in the womens by accident once and it was too big. Is there like a bra size equivelent from girls to womens or one that shows you the size base off a measurment around your breast? Thanks :)

Answer
I don't think there's a difference in sizes compared to girls and women, but there is a difference in brands, so that may have been why it seemed too big.

What you should do is measure yourself to see what bra size you would be in women bras. Measure your rib cage, pull slightly tight. Then measure your bust, since your boobs aren't that large just yet, you probably won't need to bend down. But when you subtract your rib cage measurement from your bust, every inch equals a cup size. So I assume, since your band size is 32/34, you're probably around a 30-33 underbust size. If you were an A, you would most likely be a 30A or a 32A. Or you could even be a 28B or something along those measurements without even knowing it.

Should i play Pokemon Leaf Green, or Yellow?

Jimmy S

i am going to play all 3 games in order, and i dont know what one to play
1) in yellow i get pikachu and all starters
2) LG has better graphics and the other islands
what do u guys think, and why
i know i can get a pikachu in leaf green later (i think)
but i cant get all the starters
i meant the 4 pokemon games, as in the 4 generations

Answer
Leaf Green
you can still catch a Pikachu in Leaf Green, they're just hard to find.
And all the additions also make it better.
Also, in Leaf Green, after you get the National Dex, some Johto pokemon are available, so it has a lot more Pokemon in it than Yellow does.

and what do you mean "3 games"?
there are 14 main Pokemon games....

EDIT:
well, Leaf Green is compatible with all the 3rd generation games so that is also a plus. and you can send Pokemon from any third generation game (including Leaf Green) to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

Black and Yellow, or Green and Gold?

Answer
Green and yellow green and yellow green and yellow green and yellow.

EXTRA padded backless adhesive bra?

Farrah Smi

I am an A cup and I wear the bombshell basically every day.... I am looking for a PADDED backless, strapless adhesive bra that adds 2 cup sizes. I have gone to every store possible to find this type of bra and I am starting to get really frustrated and upset with my body. Anyone know of a bra like this??

Thanks.

Answer
Fashion Forms has a padded backless strapless bra that adds 1 cup size. If you really need an additional 2 cup sizes, maybe you can buy 1 cup size larger and add bra inserts that add an additional cup size?

Another option exists if you don't really need a bra that is fully backless as long as it plunges enough in the back to not show. You can buy a Victoria's Secret Multi-Way Bombshell bra which adds 2 cup sizes and a low back bra converter strap (from Fashion Forms, Braza, Magic, etc.) which usually come in clear, nude, black, and white. The low back bra converter strap would lower the back of your bra about 4 inches. If you need additional lift, you might want to consider getting clear bra straps.

i need one of those stick on backless bras for my dress

http://www.jaysbridal.net/store/product_detailed_rear.php?productid=19492

Answer
That's going to be hard to find- Most women with DD cups want more support than a backless bra can give, so many retailers don't bother stocking them since there isn't much demand. If support is what you're looking for, a backless bra really isn't going to give you as much as you want. I'm a D and I tried a backless bra once and I really wasn't that comfortable.

Here's one that I just found: http://sassybax.com/vb.php
It costs $78 but does come in size DD so you can give that a try.

Also can you have bra cups built into your dress by a seamstress or alterations department? That might be your best bet.

Beautiful gown, BTW!

I don't understand this commerical for playtex 18 hour bra... It says 'What could you do it 18 hours?'
Why is it 18 hours, what does that have to do with the bra...?
Please Explain,,,
Thanks!

Answer
It allows you to have the comfort and support of a bra for 18 hours of the day. they don't dig into your shoulders and they don't sag (you don't have to readjust the straps or hooks during a long day). They do have good staying power, but they are definitely not very cute! I would recommend them for more top heavy people who have a very active day.;)

Answer
In my bra!

Hm, Girl question i guess?! About Bras and that sort!?

Dani

Alright, I'm thirteen, I usually stick with one bra because usually some are more comfortable then others. I went from 36B and 34C? but i have a wider chest cage whatever thing. I'm a bit over weight but very tall for my age. I'm well into puberty and periods and all that stuff! But i have to wear a well padded push-up bra or i have horrible back pains. so i have a couple questions!

1. I can switch between those two sizes, so how do i exactly know my size?
2. Will my breasts develop more?
3. Is it bad or will it effect that i have to wear those kinds of bras even when i sleep with no bra on?
4. I sometimes have stretch marks on them, but they go away?
5. How do i tell if its fat or like the boob fat? lol weird question but does it even matter?

Thanks for your guy's help! (:

Answer
1.try one that fits the best

2. believe it or not, many girls think boob development is different. than why do women have differen sizes? ever seen a super skinny women with LARGE boobs, its called fat storage. each girl/woman has a different fat storage in thier body, thier butts, thighs, stomach, boobs etc. now WHERE you have it depends on heritity so if your mom has big boobs you most likely will have the same fat storage.

3.not at all, how do you think cave women slept? or in the old times. they had no support what so ever yet they survived, god created us,so he wont hurt us in any way

4.i swear, i have the same marks and my mom said its bcz theyre not fully developed. your mammary glands arent done. you probably see girls in the locker room with no marks, thats bcz their breasts arent thier fat storage so, they developed

5.easy, every boob is the same, so, its most likely fat if theyre not an A or something, that im not so sure about but be proud of your boobs, although us girls ABSOLUTELY HATE them being big,if i had small boobs, i want them to be big too!

Am I cursed to wear sport bras for ever?

Hannah-Bet

OK I Just started my first year at middle school. I have Gym first period and we do a lot of running. Being a 36 C cup I have to wear a sports bra and I Don't want to change my bra in front of people! I thought about just going to the showers and stuff but we aren't allowed to change there (and I have a locker next to a total tattle tale) Any advice?

Answer
Okay, so here's what you do: wear your sports bra to school and then when you want to change out of your gym clothes and into a normal outfit and normal bra, simply put your normal bra over the sports bra and fasten the back. then, place your hand over your boobs. (mainly to hold the normal bra and keep it covering your boobs) Tug on the sports bra and pull it up till it's not covering your boobs, the new bra is! Then, get your arms out of the straps and slip it off your head and voila! You've just successfully changed bras without showing the world your boobs! lol =)
Try practicing this at home before doing it in front of people, lol. Hope this helped! =)

edit: I wouldn't advise wearing a normal bra underneath; it would get sweaty and gross and also make your boobs look huge for gym class and then smaller later. (People could definitely say you're fake or trying to stuff your bra.)

Answer
Ill-fitting bras are uncomfortable, but I don't believe they damage breasts. I have had material wear down and been stabbed by underwires a few times, and that hurts. No permanent damage though.

Experienced Girls: Bra Help?!?

elizabeth

I have a lot of questions so u can just copy and paste them so you don't have 2 type all this again
1. I am a little embarrassed about getting measured at a store ( which I will get over) but how do you ask them to measure you?
2. What bra do you think is best ( push up, Demi, lightly lined, add 2 cups, bustier bra etc.)
3. What color bras should I get?
4. Where do you get your bras from?
5. Should I ask to try on a bra? Will the store let me?
6. I've tried measuring myself at home but over the past couple months ( about 3 I think...) I've gotten a 34aa then a 34a but I'm pretty sure I'm a 34B, should I get measured anyway?
7. I feel awkward going alone but I have no one to bring! How do I try to look older and less... Awkward???
8. Should I get a strapless bra?
9. How many bras should I start with?
10. What kind of bra do you like best?
11. This is the last one I promise lol but has anyone ever tried/worn a sports bra with cups?
Sorry if there are spelling errors thank u

Answer
1. Many stores measure wrong. For instance, Victoria's Secret will measure OVER the bust to get the band size, which makes no sense as you wear your band underneath. Measure yourself first and then go to a small boutique rather than a mall store, just so you know when something is off (if your underbust is 28 and they hand you a 34 band, you KNOW something is wrong.)

2. I personally like moulded cup bras, but soft cup bras are always good too. Moulded cup bras give a very round appearance under clothing.

3. Get one to match your skin color, one black, and one white at the very least. Those are the basics.

4. I get my bras online since I'm a 30E/F and no place in my city sells that size. And no, my breasts aren't even that big.

5. Lingerie stores should always let you try on bras.

6. This guide is the best I've seen: http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/fit_guide

They take several measurements rather than two (bust and underbust) in order to assess other factors, such as firm VS soft breast tissue, shallow VS projected breasts, et cetera.

7. Fitters see tons of women all the time, don't worry about it. Some fitters even see men.

8. If you're planning on wearing something strapless or don't want bra straps to show, then yes.

9. 3-4 is a good start. Bras will last longer if you rotate them (not wearing the same two days in a row). The elastic wears out much faster if you wear them everyday. Make sure the bra fits on the loosest hook first, that way when the band starts to stretch, you can switch it to the tighter hooks.

10. I really like lacy bras as well as bras with colourful prints. Longline bras are gorgeous.

11. I haven't, but I heard they're much better than the "uniboob" ones. :P

I need help measuring my bra size.?

Annyo

I measured my bust and it's 30 inches, then I measured beneath my bust and it's 28 inches. What is my bra size?
I forgot to mention that I do not fit in any AA cups and I can barely make some of the A cups work. So, I've been having trouble with my size.
I do not fit in a 32 A....

Answer
To best measure your bra size its best to do it with your bra off. Go into the bathroom, and use a soft measuring tape. Like the type tailors use, not the hard type constructors and plumbers use. Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of bust. For me and most other women this is usually right across the nipples. Make sure it is fitting naturally around your bust and not too tight nor too loose. Remember this number. This is the CUP size. Now, measure right underneath your bust. Some people say to do it on top of the bust but I like to do it underneath. Measure underneath your bust and remember this number as well. This is the BAND size. Now, subtract the BAND size from your CUP size. If the difference is:

0 inches--AA cup
1 inch--A cup-
2 inches--B cup
3 inches--C cup
4 inches--D cup.......so on and so forth.

Then you take your band size measurement and apply it towards your band size. For example your bust was 30 and your band was 28 so you seem to be a 28 B. However, 28 is a rather small band size. The smallest band you will probably find in most places is a 32. 32 should work just fine and shouldnt be much of a difference. I would go try on some 32 B size bras and let me know how they fit!

First time how the girls measure her bra size?

Genious

First time how the girls measure her bra size?

Answer
Well if this is the first time you are buying a bra, you should be a smaller size like A or something. But if those are too small:

Run a tape measure all the way around your body just underneath your breasts and take a measurement in inches. If the number is even, add 4 and if it is odd, add 5. This will give you your band size. For instance, if you measured 28 inches, your band size will be 32.

To find your cup size, measure around the fullest part of the bust in inches, not too tightly or the measurement will be inaccurate. Then subtract your band size from this measurement. This will help you to determine your cup size. If the bust size is less than the band size, you are an AA cup. If there is no difference between the two measurements, your cup size is A. A 1 inch difference indicates a B cup, 2 inches is a C cup, 3 is a D cup and so on. You can use this chart to find out your cup size.

minus 1 inches AA
0 inches A
1 inches B
2 inches C
3 inches D
4 inches DD
5 inches E
6 inches F

Where can I buy punky plus sized(36/38DD) bras?

Roatha C

I'm looking to buy some lingerie for my wife. She's well endowed and finding bras is usually a difficult task, especially if she's looking for something that looks nice. Anyone know where to find some cute punkish bras in 36dd-38dd? Kind of like the styles you see at Hot Topic etc.

Answer
No sure what you mean by 'punkish bra' but i presume you mean designs with a bit of flair.
I would try Marlies Dekkers (she's a amazing dutch designer)
Playful Promises (they're UK based, ship to the US and are having a up to 70% off sale right now)
Also try bare necessities website, they have an amazing selection from brands like Simone Perele, Harlequin. Elle Macpherson
Myla US is currently having a 70% off sale (prices from $18.00)
The figleaves website has also a good selection of nice bras in those sizes

Finding a pretty plus size bra?

Lil O

I'm very much blessed in the chest so to speak and I was wondering where I could find really pretty bras for a big bust? Also must be worth price.
Ive already tried Victoria Secret. I can not wear those bras.Thie cup sizes aren't high enough in most bras.

Answer
As a fellow "blessed in the chest" you need to find a custom bra shop...Not Victoria Secrets!!! They will measure you and fix you up correctly. I prefer Goddess or Cameo brands, these generally tend to aim at the larger cup and band size. I usually pay anywhere between 40-70 per bra. And surprisingly after having to wear ugly beige or white for so long now bigger bras are starting to come in pretty colors, though because of the size the styling is pretty much the same.

Good luck

I have a bra with clear straps, but I hate wearing them because they never stay in place. I like wearing tanks and spaghetti-strap tops, but I can't find a decent strapless bra. I'm in a DD, so I need one that's going to do the job. Any suggestions?

strapless padded bras?

Tina

i have a dress i dont quite fill out. where can i buy some heavily padded strapless bras??
im a 34A and victoria secret doesnt have the super powered push up bras for my size =(

waaahhhh

Answer
http://www.victoriassecret.com/

you can DEF. find heavily padded strapless bras there. if you go to the store (go to the store locater to find one near you), you can check out the padding. they don't really show you online but it'll probably tell you what kind of padding like light padding or water filled padding (pretty big). but victoria's secret is best! and they have so many different kinds. the new 100 ways bra is great! it is SO versatile.

(go to BRAS at the top then on the side click on VERY SEXY and find the 100 ways.)

if you don't wanna spend that much, i'm sure you can go to a department store to find one. they most likely have good heavily padded bras too! they might not be really cheap but they should be at least cheapER. hope this was helpful!

Help! First Bra, girls only!?

Q. So this is my first question on yahoo!,and I have some questions about my first bra.

Ok, so I am in gr. 8, and I'm going to get my first padded bra next week with my friend at Aerie, and i have a few questions

1. How do you discreetly wash a padded bra, and drying it without people seeing?

2. How do I confront my mom that I'm going to buy one?

3. What happens if my brother or dad start making fun of me?

P.S. I can't dry it in the bathroom because I share it with my brother D:
I'm getting a Lightly Lined Bra

Answer
Hey girl,

I would tell your mom first that you feel like you are ready to start wearing a bra. It really is not a big deal, she has been wearing one for years! As far as washing goes, you can start washing your own laundry and put it in with that or you can fill up your bathroom sink with warm water and add just a teenie bit of laundry soap or hand soad, scrub it good with your hands or a rag. Squeeze it out good and then take it back to your room and fold a towl in half, put the bra on the towel and then fold it long ways again over the bra and let it dry on your bed or on another surface. Your brother might tease you, boys are stupid, i don't think your dad would make fun of you. Just be descreet about it and keep it private if you don't want them to know about it.

ps you don't need a majorly padded bra, just something that is thick enough to cover and secure your girls ;0)

Why did girls start wearing bras?

nokagirl

okay, im no idiot. I know that people wear them to make the girls stay up and so they dont show through a shirt. But how did this start? does anyone know the history? Like did women wear them 100 years ago?
And do any of you think there stupid? especially for girls like me who have really small boobs.
neelikes....- i dont show my nipples!
you know the padding in swimsuit tops?
i take that out and put it in my camisole,
you cant see thru at all.

Answer
Bra fashion history began as far back as Cretan times, but 1907, was the year when the word brassiere was first reported in an American copy of Vogue. The original French meaning was support, but the word was out of use and the French chose to call a bra soutien-gorge. Cretan women wore bras thousands of years ago. In England bust improvers were available in the Edwardian period. By 1905 BBs as they were known were usual wear.

Bra fashion history truly began with the first bra to be patented. The first bra was patented in 1914 by Mary Phelps-Jacobs an American. It is not thought to be the first bra ever, but it is the first patented record and that gives her the credit.

Mary Phelps-Jacobs patented her bra design under the patent name of Caresse Crosby. Some suggest it was her French maid who provided the idea or the stitching help. Two silk handkerchiefs were tied together, baby ribbon sewn on to make straps and a seam set in the centre front.
After 1918 fashion bras were simply lace fabric bands with straps. The boyish figures needed for styles by designers like Chanel didn't need upholstered corsets.

The best bra to get the right effect was called the Symington Side Lacer, a reinforced bust bodice. Side lacing meant that it flattened the bust when laced tightly. Soon the word brassière was abandoned for bra and ever since in fashion history we have referred to the bra.

Bra history took on a new dimension when in 1935, Warners introduced four cup sizes called A, B, C and D, but it was well into the 1950s before Britain followed this American standard. The British corset manufacturers were still using coy descriptions like junior and medium to describe breast fullness.

Bosoms were dethroned and separate breasts were really acknowledged.

Fashion history is always affected by material shortages during and immediately after wars. In the war era after 1940, bras were made from minimal fabric when they bore the Utility mark. Utility bras were serviceable bras using broche, a cotton backed satin or drill and often peach pink in colour. Supplies were very limited and were best ordered. Twilfit manufactured utility bras and Twilfit were a household name for roll-ons and bras in the 1950s.

Women also made their own bras from paper patterns or magazine guidelines for making bra and French knicker sets. The fabric they used was sometimes parachute silk, parachute nylon or old satin wedding dresses. Once the 1950s arrived changes in textile technology saw new developments in all underwear items, but particularly in the costume history of bras.

Fashion history has shown that by the 1950s glamour was what women wanted most. They had been deprived in the war and they had seen the Hollywood stars that had uplift that almost reached their necks. Brand names like Maidenform, Berlei, Triumph and the British Marks & Spencer bras under the St. Michael label all sold excellent bras that gave the correct pointed circular stitched conical shape of the era.
The conical bra was the bra that gave the support silhouette for girls who longed to emulate the curves of film star sweater girls like Lana Turner and Jane Russell. Bra history changed for the better as bras began to be revolutionized by the use of nylon, making them lighter, prettier and easier to wash.
In the 1990s when silicone breast implants and other implants caused scares, many women looked to bras to improve their breast size. The Wonderbra was a huge hit and bestseller all over again in the 1990s.

Where do you like to buy your bras?

Q. I've asked this before and got a ton of girls say victorias secret. I like how they look but I'm looking for one that's comfortable as well. The ones I tried from them are itchy. I really like fredericks of hollywood but there's not one nearby to my knoweledge. I don't like the kind that cover the whole breast because they stick up above your shirt. I'm looking for a comfortable plunge type. Thank you girls!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Wacoal and Felina make fabulous bras for average and above average chest sizes. You can get these brands at Nordstrom, Macy's, and other nicer department stores. Felina makes sexier, prettier bras with matching undies. Wacoal makes bras that are uber comfortable and perfectly fitting, but are not as cutesy.

I have found that Fredericks and VS bras are poorly made, strangely proportioned, and are inconsistent in sizes. Also, they tend to be uncomfortable.

Being a 34dd, I am extremely choosy with bras. They have to have perfect lift, separation, and no busting or falling out over the top. I go with Felina as my #1, then Wacoal, and lastly Olga.

for ladies... what for you is the best brand of bra, in terms of enhancement, style, comfort, price?

maiax

Answer
Wacoal bras are the best hands down. Some what pricey compared to the Vanity Fair type stuff. Bu t they last forever and the quality is remarkable. Never put your bras in the drier...ruins elastic. Always wash in lingerie bag and hang dry. Buy one and you will never buy that other stuff again. They rarely go on sale but sometimes a seasonal pattern may go on sale. Trust me Wacoal is the BEST!

cute bras ?

Q. does any one know where i can find a bra in a size 34 D i can not seem to find a cute demi cup 34 D any where

Answer
I'm a 36 D and it seems like almost every cute bra I find only goes up to a 38 C, and if it does go up bigger, it offers little to no support. Victoria's Secret has quite a number of different styles with some cute patterns involved. Try there first off, but if that's too expensive, go to somewhere like a Goody's. They have really cute bra's in D cups where I live.

Where can I get some cute bras?

Anna

I've been looking for some cute bras for a while, but they're all really expensive. Where can I get some cute ones that are cheap? And I'm a 36 C if that helps at all.

Answer
Try Aerie the bras there are cute and cheap. Victoria Secret is expensive, but sometimes you can get super good deals, so check there. La Senza is good too, some of their bras are expensive but you can get some cheaper ones too. Also, go to like TJMaxx, they have lots of cute, cheap bras there.

Know anything about iTunes cards? Please help me if you do!

Pink has explained that she noticed many young girls near her Los Angeles home aspire to the hypersexual personae of female celebrities rather than for their careers or talents. She was inspired to write "Stupid Girls", in which she deplores the lack of good role models for girls while encouraging them to cultivate independence and individuality. "There's a certain thing the world is being fed, and my point is there should be a choice", Pink said.[1] Pink said the song was "brought on by several conversations I've had with women and girls. Women have fought so long and hard for our rights and equality, and now all our attention is put on being a size 0", adding that some are "living vicariously through these people who seem to shop all day" rather than focusing on issues such as war and poverty.[2] According to International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, the song "highlights the culture's relentless and unrealistic pursuit of thinness and unattainable drive for physical beauty".[3] Pink discussed what she called the "Stupid Girl epidemic" during an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

dancing girls... sports bra help???...?

Carolina

Where can i find a supportive Sports bra for dance. I need nude/ clear strap, (D) but i cant find dance bras w enough support or normal sporst bras w clear straps... Where should i look? (Order online)

Answer
Try BrasJust4U.com and possibly get the straps altered/changed.

REASONS YOU NEED A Custom Fit Bra THAT WORK WITH YOUR BODY

* Your bust has no muscle.
* Wheage.n gravity pulls your breast down, it also stretches your throat and face tissue.
* Your breast depends on an outside source of support to keep its shape.
* The shape of your breast is determined by the bras you wear.
* Ordinary bras on the market today are only covers.
* Your bust must be lifted to allow for proper circulation.
* Without proper support, lymphatic drainage is impeded, which interferes with cellular health.
* Breast disease is more likely when there is no circulation and lymphatic drain.

Why does it hurt to take my bra off sometimes?

Krystal

Sometimes when I take my bra off after a long day, my breasts hurt. Like, right after I remove the bra. What causes that? Does that happen to you?

Answer
happens to me too, its normal. its just because bras like compress them i guess, and when you take off a bra it 'sets them free' and i guess it hurts them from being compressed

Bra size???

#1 Gymnast

If I measure underneath my bust (29), then add 5 I get 34. Then they say subtract your band size from your bust size but that means that your bust is at least 5 inches more than underneath your bust (29)? My bust size is only 30.

Answer
Hi

Working out bra sizes this way is very confusing. You will find if you go to a bra store they know use a different method. They will measure under your bust but they now determine cup size just from looking at your size (in a top or in your bra - dont worry they dont make you bare all!)

Going by your measurements - You should be wearing a 34AA. If it feels too lose around your body then wear a 32AA. Different makes of bra do vary in size anyway.

Try Tshirt type bras for a nice shape under tight tops. These are great. I love um.

Bra Size?(No mean comments please!)?

BabyGirl18

I'm size D42...and sometimes DD. How come when I get a B42, I can wear it? Also do you think I should get a breast reduction? I'm tired of boys focusing on my chest!
I can wear a B32 also!

Answer
Get properly sized first off. At Nordstroms or JCPenney or Sears (NOT victoria secret, they have a habit of not sizing correctly).

Or use this site: http://www.amplebosom.com/acatalog/Measuring_Guide.html I have done that type of sizing since I started wearing bras 23 years ago and that calculation has never done me wrong.

You CAN be a 42B, 42D, 42DD. Bras do not have standards of measurement. You can be a B in one bra and a DD in another bra.

Take me for instance, I usually wear a 38J, but depending on the brand of bra I am a 38DDD and 38D and 38DD.

If you have back pain definitely look into a reduction covered by insurance.
