Help about determining bra size?

Kristin

I want to buy some bras online so I'd like to try to figure out on my own what my size is. I know how it basically works.. Measure under and around the breast. But for some reason it doesn't seem right? Well, without the bra, I measure 34 under, and 43 over the breast. I've used some of the calculators online, but they all say different things. Any women that can help out with this? Thanks. :]

Answer
The under the breast measuremnt is the number i.e. 34, and the difference in inches between under and at the fullest part of the breast determines the cup size.

How to correctly determine bra size?

Q. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sydluvchop/7270330722/
My bust across my nipples is 34" and the band is 30" above is 32" I did a bra calculator and it said i was a 32D! Ive been wearing 34A! I dont get this, help!

Answer
I would say 30D.
Underbust measurement=band size
To get the cup size:
Bust - underbust = 34 - 30 = 4 = 4th letter = D

A 30 bra, is 2 sizes smaller than a 34, so it is 2 sizes smaller all over, also in the cup. That means, that the cups of a 30D is the same as a 34B, so perhaps you did experience that the 34A was a tad small? Or maybe not, they vary from brands. (I have bras in the exact same size on the label, and one is way big, the other way small! *sigh*)

Here is a post demonstrating that cup-size is relative to band-size :)

Here is 10 pages of women wearing 30D's:

Doesn't seem too different from you, does it?
