JJ :)
I'm an 18 year old and a 34D, but with a bigger chest, boobs don't always look as perky, so I was thinking that a push up bra would probably help give a little lift. Would a nice Victoria's Secret push up work considering that the bras are made for all sizes, or would it be too "overflowing"? (; Thanks for any tips or answers you have!!

It really depends on the cut of the bra but yes it can. also when you are at VS ask to have your measurements taken (They offer this service for free) most women find out they have been getting the wrong bra size for a long time. and trust me, a bra that is the right size makes a huge difference and makes you look better in clothes.

Girls, would you wear a push up bra if you were a D cup size, to give you a lift?

I'm an equivalent of a 34DD myself, and happen to love the occasional push-up. They make them for my size, I usually wear either a 30F or 28FF. When it's done right and the bra fits, it works just like it would on any other size- it gives you that little extra push for some great cleavage and isn't too overwhelming.
It's more important at larger sizes to make sure the bra is as perfect of a fit as possible. If the cups are too small, band too large, etc, you'll be falling out of the cups and it won't look anywhere near where you want it to. Plus it will be extra-uncomfortable and awkward feeling.
