Applestar
so i was thinking about getting a bra fit at Victoria's Secret. Just want to know if it costs anything and what they actually do. (i wanna know what im in for) Answers from people who hav actually been to victoria's secret and had a bra fit would be preferred but anyone else who has had a fitting before and could tell me a few things would be nice. :) thanks everyone
Answer
bra fittings are free. personally I would go elsewhere to get fitted. I have been sized there a number of times and always for the wrong size.
they measured me while standing inthe middle of the bra section, not in a dressing room, over my clothing and bra. they then sent me to a dressing room with this box of different bras in the size they measured me to try on. Basically to find out what style I liked best. That's it.
i don't believe they are the most accurate place to be sized. I was told that I was a 38D back when they still had the Body By Victoria Ipex bras about 4 - 5 years ago. I bought three very expensive ($50+) bras. And within 3 - 5 months, the wires poked out. This is generally a sign that the bra is either has too big of a band size and/or too small of a cup size. i went down a band and up a cup size to a 36DD per a fitting nordstrom's. I have never had the issue again.

Well known Bra fitting places?
Sum Girl
I'm looking for suggestions on places to go to get a bra fitting. I'm a big girl (i wear larges and size 12 pants) and My boobs are kinda big too (partially from genetics and partially from being fat but that's beside the point)
I don't think the current bra size or type I'm wearing is suitable for me because I always feel like my boobs are sagging just because the bra's I wear aren't fitting correctly.
I know I can go to Victoria's Secret but are there any other places that you can suggest? I live in close to Indianapolis, IN - if that helps anyone with local places but any well known retail stores helps too. Thanks in advance!
Answer
Most people on here are gonna tell you to go to Macy's, Nordstrom, Walmart , Target, Victoria Secrets, La Senzia, J.C Penny's and the like. most of the places are just not helpful. Either they don't offer larger cup size smaller band or lager bands, or they don't really fit you properly. I'm not sure where you live but you should try Intimacy. I would say even if you lived like 2 states over from on it was a trek go get fitted properly. Even if you can afford their bras you can then buy online and get the bras you need. I like Intimacy because they do try to fit you. But they also try to push their customers in to buying bras that are 100-150 bucks. They do have cheaper bras but you will have to ask to see the drawer and search yourself to get one.
The great thing about Intimacy is other than the fit they will fix the bras that you bought that break. How many times have you busted underwire or been in between sizes. They will fix you bra for free you just pay the shipping and handling which is 8 Bucks. If it busts they will felt it. If you need something about the bra reworked they will fix it. And one time did get a larger bra in the band and smaller in the cup just because they ran out of my size. when the underwire broke twice they gave me a store credit on the spot no wining or complaining.
You can look at the pdf to find other stores that fit like intamcy fits, that are near you.

Once you get fitted if your a D or DD plus you can get bras online. Some of them are quite nice.
